  1. They are offering a Black Friday preview "Coming Soon". http://images.frys.com/art/deals/blackfriday-cybermonday2014/blackfriday2014.html?Source=FB11132014
  2. I suggest the 3DS. He is 6, and while there are plenty of games available for a tablet that he would enjoy, a tablet is easily broken. My daughter was given a tablet last year (a cheapo) and it's screen was broken within 2 months. She is very easy going and not extremely active. As your son is into Pokemon, a DS would be excellent for him. If you go with the older DS model, you will also be able to play the gameboy color games. You will only find these games on ebay as gamestop no longer stocks them. There are 4-5 gameboy color Pokemon games out there. They would probably be cheap as the DS is outdated and the last that would run them.
  3. While GottaDeal.com is great for Black Friday, it is also great all year round. I have found many deals at other times of the year, also. Members are very nice and will answer any questions you may have on many different topics besides saving money.
  4. I keep a list on my phone as a tablet is too big for me to lug around. I take all the ads (ordered by store priority) and I take the physical ad into the store with me. It helps to find the exact item I need. If I am doing a PM on a different ad, the other store's ad will be brought in with me in addition to the actual store ad.
  5. Look at the ads beforehand and create a list. VISIT each store BEFORE black friday! If you are getting clothing, try them on then! You can easily grab your size and get in line during the rush without wasting the precious time. Remember, the longer you take picking out your stuff, the longer the checkout line will grow. The goal is to get in and get out as quick as possible so you can catch the doorbuster at the next store.
  6. Encouragement comes in many forms....
  7. I do online for what we "need" and go to brick and mortar for the fun! Best things to get online depend on what you are shopping for. Probably the "limited supply" items as the online sales start earlier in the week. If you miss them, you have a second chance in person.
  8. I started in 2005. I worked retail and always had to work that day previously. I missed out on many great deals back then.
  9. Of course! It is the only time of year that DW won't question the purchases I make!
  10. We were in the test market and have been using it for several months. We keep having trouble claiming the actual "savings." For some reason, they will not email the amount. Once we claim it, it goes to zero and we don't get the eGiftCard. It doesn't show up in the spam folder or the inbox! We claim at about $25 and this is our third time to claim. Emails to their support helped when we were still the test market, but have become non-responsive since it was pushed out nation wide. Hopefully, it will work better for you. I think that we will re-sign up using a different email address next time we claim and get nothing.
  11. My son is currently playing Destiny on his Xbox 360. Maybe your hdd is full?
  12. ATT double data deals are only on large quantities of data. The doubling starts if you are on a 15 GB or larger plan. (plans jump from 10GB to 30GB in this case) It is great if you use alot of data, not so great if you use little. Although, if you are considering a move to a 2015 Chevy/GMC/Buick/etc. the vehicle would be part of your data bucket and a larger plan may be beneficial if you are in your car alot. The LTE service that GM advertises is through ATT.
  13. Where is that neat resolution chart that is posted each year?
  14. This requires a receipt image. I guess this is free if you previously purchased something?
  15. I don't like the openings at 6pm (or earlier). I was late for Walmart because we were at our annual movie. I did get everything we wanted, but I prefer to be gone shortly after they open. The earlier opening times brings out the novices. At JC Penny at 1am, there was a lady trying to check out for multiple people using multiple visa gift cards. She had no idea how much money was on each card and each transaction was a fiasco with her trying to figure out what items she could actually purchase. I think a 3-4am opening time would bring back the fun. I seem to be doing much more online purchases than in prior years. I am able to get what I want without any of the hassle. I liked the idea that Fry's electronics had for this year. Their execution could have been much better, but I was still able to get what I wanted after they got their website back up (about 4 hours into the sale). It was interesting that I found several items in the sale that were not in the ad. I may have been interested in picking up some of these unannounced items if I knew what they were beforehand.
  16. Items, times and most prices are listed on their site now. http://www.frys.com/ads/page108#AdNavi
  17. I spoke to a new car salesman several years ago about when is the best time to purchase. He told me that August is when the sales people are the most hungry because many people are more concerned about back to school instead of purchasing a car. Christmas (December) is a good time for the SALESMAN as many people want to purchase a car for Christmas. There are no good Black Friday deals on car purchases. They are just trying to get people to visit them. Figure out which vehicle you want to purchase first. Going to CarMax or some other large used car dealership that does not harass you will help you figure out which model you prefer. Then research what deals are available on the web. THEN visit a dealership armed with the knowledge of what you should pay. Good luck!
  18. Why do you assume that it is necessary to bathe before a Black Friday romp? Perhaps it is all in the plan! If you don't bathe, you are stinky to others. This may give you an edge while in the crowds as it distracts others and may even get you a little space when you reach for your merchandise!
  19. update your app. You may need to remove it and then readd it
  20. Wife wants an MK purse this year. What do they do on Black Friday?
  21. The galaxy smartwatch only works with the Galaxy Note 3. If you don't have that phone, stay away from the samsung smartwatch. The Pebble works with other phones. Reviews say that it is OK. It does use an eink screen, so no color.
