Ewww. Running...lol If I had to run for my life, maybe. I would much rather lift weights, but if I feel extra energetic, I'll clean or reorganize. The exercise you are getting is probably where you get all your energy from. I should probably try to do more stuff than I am now. You are a good example we should all try to work toward. I've only gained back about 15 pounds over about 18 months. Oddly enough, I didn't really have a big increase in energy or at least I never noticed when I lost 50 via Slim4Life. I'm not sure if I could handle your diet. Glad it works for you, though!

We will likely be stopping at JC Penney first as it opens first. lol. I don't know if we will SHOP, though. We may just pick up the giveaways and come back after the crowds die down. We will be online shopping for any of our "must haves".

Congrats on the weight loss! Would you care to share your "secrets"? I'm sure I'm not the only one interested. I lost some last year, but it is creeping up on me again. I am struggling with avoiding the bad stuff. I probably need a change of pace so I can get back down.

Happy October! Ads will hit soon. I'm impatiently waiting on them. lol. It was really cool when they dropped in August that one year, but the wait afterward was a bit worse I think.

Looking for a deal on a specific LG fridge. I've seem them as low as 2800, so I am hoping for around 2500 in November.

I'll begin searching ebay soon, then! I would also like to get one of these, but I don't have electrical run where I have room to put it. So...beer fridge or freezer.... Hmmmm

This will be my in-law's first Black Friday. DW has spoken about the times we went out and the deals scored, but they never had a chance to experience it as they lived in the Philippines. We finally got them approved for residence here, and they joined us back in March. My MIL is very excited, but she doesn't move too fast because she is in her mid-70s. She does move much better than my mom, though. My mom does best at guarding the basket and standing in line. My MIL could probably throw down for towels at Wal-Mart.

I do too, but I usually can't justify one. Unless I put one on a kitchen cabinet or above my washing machine, I'm out of places!

Yes, inquiring minds want to know! I tried to do their 10% off "new home" coupon a few years ago and was denied. I think I have gotten the coupon this way in the past. Is it hidden somewhere? Thanks! I will (ab)use that site now as I didn't know it existed.

Last year, we got a great deal on a washer/dryer set. I think it was 40-50 off. This year, we have been watching refrigerators. We have settled on one of the higher end models by LG. We need something B-I-G. I should probably measure the area.... Anyway..What is the likelihood that we will score a deal on the specific model we want? Or will we likely need to compromise? Is it a percentage off the whole line? Has anyone ever tried to cut a "deal" on the packages that are commonly offered and throw in different models? For example, you don't care about the model of microwave/dishwasher, but want a certain stove or refrigerator. You pay a bit more to get what you want, but it ends up as a better deal getting the whole kitchen rather than buying one or two at a time. Is there a better time of year to buy (**GASP!**)? Heck, are LG refrigerators junk? Should we look at other brands? Stay away from certain brands?

Happy August! We have decided to look into the parental controls for internet. I don't know yet if I want to go ahead and just replace my current router, or do a plug in device. I would rather avoid the total software route and I would like to avoid reoccurring charges. Anyone use any of these? I've considered Circle, but don't know if the charges are for everything or just outside of the home. I don't know what I will "lose" going the free route. Another option is Router Limits and Gryphon. I don't know if I want to go ahead and replace my router just yet, but I may if the price of the device is close enough to a new router purchase, then an upgrade may be in my future. I would like to go with a mesh system, which leads me to the Orbi, which contains Circle. I've seen the First Gen Circle device discounted to $40, but I don't know what I would lose getting something around 3 years old.

Just got back from New Mexico! While it seemed very sparsely populated (150 miles between gas stations?), it was very fun! We visited El Santuario de Chimayo (religious place), checked out Meow Wolf's House of Eternal Return (very cool, see link below if you are unfamiliar), drove the musical highway in Albuquerque, visited White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, and, of course, Roswell.
