I got a card yesterday from someone on GD - a thanksgiving card. dunno who it was, but wanted to say thank you!!! i needed a happy piece of mail in there!

Hardest person to buy for? my dad 8. Easiest person to buy for? My daughter 9. Do you have a nativity scene? yes. 3 actually 1 is mine, 1 is my mothers, and 1 is my dd's. 10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? a makeup kit that came with a flat iron for hair. i'm not a girlly girl. 11. Favorite Christmas Movie? It's a wonderful life 13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? the day after Christmas.. 14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Absolutely! 15. Favorite thing to do at Christmas? other than time with family, love to make cookies and soap tree 16. Lights on the tree? yes - usually white. 17. Favorite Christmas song? Rockin Around the Christmas Tree 18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Until dd is older it'll be staying home. 19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph the red nosed reindeer... 20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I prefer star, but not my house - we'll do an angel. 21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? 1 each on christmas eve, the rest on christmas morning. 22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? there's no such thing as a quick shopping trip, or short lines. 23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Traditional tree... always. 24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? lamb 25. What do you want for Christmas this year? to win the lottery just kidding. i don't want anything right now, but there are things i need.

I spoil my dd. grandma & poppop are giving her: the fisher price sit & spin pony dress up shoes princess dress nana is giving her: a toy baby grand piano a real electric guitar (yes, her nana has absolutely lost her mind). unfortunatly, I don't think dd is going to be ready for nana's presents for a long time.

Am I the only one disappointed in what's offered in the Customers Vote program this year? Last year I remember they had a week with young children's toys, not this year...

whether or not part of the email might be 'bogus', this is still a valid concern/warning. sure, a company might not close all of their stores - but they might close all the stores in your area. and a lot of these businesses do not have online shopping. so while the card itself might not technically be worthless, it'd be worthless to you unless you could sell it. thank you illinoismom!

While I absolutely love all the pictures... You can totally see the joy in your dd's face in the 2nd set. That's the set I'd pick. The first set I'd maybe print out a few and give to grandparents and aunts/uncles for their wallets.

i'm in the process of making a santa suit and am going to get the beard etc. going to set up a chair in front of the tree to take a pick with dd. for the family portrait i'm trying to find some cacti to decorate and pose in front of.

Thanks, this is one of the few that I've had confirmed for awhile. I do have some tricky/pesky stores out there teasing me though lol (like the disney store!) I think the list is completely up-to-date. for now. til we get more ads in of course.

no problem. fyi - i went there today. apparently all stores received a company directive to pull the camera & leap frog toys off the shelves. they will not be available to buy until BF! some stores have also pulled their ipod stuff, that was up to the manager's discretion.

Burkes Outlet locations are located in Ca, Nv, Nm, Tx, Ar, La, Tn, Ms, Al, Nc, Sc. Only difference between the two is the name and that's because of copyright issues in certain states. They will have the same sale, same ad. Those of you who have been saving up the frequent shopper punch cards, BF looks like the day to use them! The FS cards can be combined with friday club and with bf discounts/doorbusters.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited about the shirt The barbies wasn't my idea, so I can't take credit. My parents bought ME one every year up until I had my daughter - and then I took over buying them. It's funny because I was anti-barbie as a kid - but now I see the tradition part of it as well as the potential investment.

+1 It's on my wish list for DD. I plan on getting her a holiday barbie every christmas. Just debating if I should get her this one or get her the official holiday barbie. it was absolutely adorable.

my current plan is: 1. best buy or aafes 2. bealls outlet 3. walgreens 4. possibly walmart to pick up cheap dvds.

Just about any and all retail stores will have BF deals. The only exceptions that I can think of would be the mom & pop/family owned stores. Chances are though that the Hallmark store will not have an advertisement about the deals. I only know of a select few companies that do not do BF sales: Oakley Sunglass Hut Sunglass Icon Watch Station Watch World

I'd be curious about them too. I've been hooked on them since I lived in nj and we've a really large BCF here out in Phoenix.

I think if you went at that time you'd be way back at the line. a lot of folks get in line on weds night and thanksgiving morning/afternoon for BB & CC.

last year i took a subaru forrester, borrowed my parents car to make room for all those diapers! this year i'm taking my car, a little sentra. no real bad car experiences last year or this. however, every year before that i was a mall employee on BF. I came out of work one year, 2003, to find that the back half of my car was not where i left it. Apparently since it was such a big parking lot no one tried to find out where I was or where I was working. Luckily there were witnesses, and it was on camera - someone called police and almost all the paperwork was taken care of. needless to say, it was a nasty shock when i walked out to my car. I actually walked past it 2x thinking "that can't be my car". It took about a month to get the car "repaired" I was never able to open the trunk again.

I just want to point this out and second it. Not all KB Toys will be opening at midnight. Please please please verify with your store what time they are opening before you head out there. I'd hate for you to get in line at 9pm or 10pm for the store not to open until 5am. Depending on your location 3-5 hours early should be sufficient to get a good spot in line.
