  1. I got it too! Luckily DF speaks spanish fluently. 6 coupons for free pizza for host 15 coupons for pizza for guests 1 pizza cutter 1 magnet for refrigerator 16 bandanas with flags of countries 8 whistles 8 inflatable canes Sticker 2 table decorations (?) or table clothes (they lost me on the dípticos) A DIGIORNO menu with backups for play(?) Dishes and napkins
  2. PICKYOUR15 - Save 15% on Any Purchase (Kohl's Card) 5/11/10 and I tried the THANKS1498 too with my visa card. The discounts were applied, but for some reason I can't check out.
  3. Is anyone having problems checking out on this right now? I keep trying to enter the codes - but if I use the codes it says it can't process my credit card (tried with Visa & Kohls). tyi
  4. I noticed that too. And I think they are picking people at random for certain ones. For example I was emailed the other day for a party that isn't listed on the site. I'm kicking myself now because I deleted the email without applying first. I think it was called Thrill of the Grill or something like that.
  5. man. I really wanted the Shrek party for dd. badly. oh well. maybe i'll get the Breyers one. Doubt it, but worth a shot.
  6. green dot for the "that's green to me house party"
  7. Depends on your store. The past two years the BRU by me has had a BF ad - combined with the TRU ad because they are a combo store. Just to be specific that was for the TRU/BRU located in Goodyear, AZ. BF 2007 they had the huge boxes of store brand diapers for $10 each (at the time they were normally $23 per box). They also had coupons out at the time for those same diapers ($5 off one box if you bought 2). I remember getting in line in the wee hours just to fill up a few shopping carts with diapers. They also at the gerber soaps & lotions on sale (buy one get one) and the baby food (buy one get one half off) was on sale as well. But the sale for BRU really focused on necessities like diapers, soaps, food, wipes, etc. Not so much on gear (like strollers, cribs etc) or on clothing. Man... I had bought so many diapers that BF that I didn't have to buy anymore until Oct. 2008!
  8. I haven't read all the posts to this thread but... I've never taken dd out with me before on BF. This year she is coming with me. It is not extremely cold here (az), but she will be bundled up with a warm blanket. We're not getting in line overnight anywhere, but we are going to be out around 3am/4am. Being that she wakes up every day at 4am anyway it's not a huge change in her routine. If I could I'd get a babysitter. But the only one that I trust just moved with her hubby (airforce) to Korea. I'd leave her with my parents that morning, but my mom is fighting through chemo and my dad his own treatments he's fighting through. All that disregarded, we can't afford a sitter anyway. There are things that my daughter really needs this year, that the bargains on BF will get me out there for. She is just one child so when she isn't sitting on my lap in line she will be sitting in a cart at the store with me right there holding onto it. Do I want to bring her with me? No, of course not. However, we don't have the option of shopping online this year (I only have access maybe 1-2x per week), there is no babysitter I'd trust with my daughter. Sometimes you have to think about do I go wait in line with my kid in the crowds to get what we really truly need at prices we might actually be able to afford - or do we not go and therefor not get the things that are needed for my child. I'm sure I'm not explaining that all right but.. I'm trying. For example, my dd has grown 7 inches in the past MONTH. She was wearing 2T. I had bought a bunch of 3T stuff on clearance last year thinking she could wear it now. But she skipped that size and is now straddling the sizes 4T/5T. Therefor no winter clothes that fit her, and no clothes other than shorts and tank tops that fit her now. I've been trying to add fabric to her existing clothes - but even at her young age she notices the difference. And even then, it doesn't help with the fact that all of the clothes are tight in the butt and under her arms. So we're going to do what we have to this year, and that means waiting in line together to get what she needs. I can only hope that they have shoes somewhere at good prices too - because I know those items days are numbered too. sorry. end rant. For me I feel better about it knowing that she'll never be out of my sight, that it doesn't get frigid here, and that she'd normally be awake during most of the hours we're in line anyway.
  9. money is really tight for us this year due to work & health stuff: for me: i want a christmas tree to put things under an Eagles snuggie (or Flyers) a GC to either walmart or safeway (groceries!) for dd: a bike with training wheels (12 inch?) a bathrobe or kids snuggie everything else i luckily purchased for dd when we were doing well financially so she'll be spoiled by mom and santa claus. it's just those last two things, which i know she really wants.. i think she wants the bathrobe more than anything else actually. and i want to be able to give her a traditional christmas breakfast - with scrapple and eggs and cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit. i'd really settle for just the christmas tree though.
  10. I'm not going to be able to keep track of the store hours in a central list/post this year like i've done in the past... anyone want to step up and take it over? :) i just don't have reliable internet access and probably won't have reliable internet until after christmas...
  11. I thought that too - but I got one for my mom who is going through chemo and she loves it to death. she says it's more comfy than wearing her robe, it covers her toes unlike the robe, and unlike a blanket she can keep her arms covered while she's reading a book... plus it is super soft. so. i guess i got sold on it. i don't think i'd get one for me ever, but i'm probably going to get more for my mom as she only has the one.
  12. always: tru walmart sometimes: beall's outlet ace hardware new for this year (maybe): disney store they are reopening the disney store (it closed about a year ago) and I might go there if I can stomach the crowd. definately hitting walmart this year. friend works overnights there so she is going to call me and tell me where all the skiffs are located through the store
  13. fyi for if/when this expires - you can get this same sewing machine (but in white with purple buttons) from CVS and many other stores for just $9.99. They are good for small projects. I am on my second one now. I like that it's compact so that I can easily store it out of my daughter's reach or a few times I took it with me on trips etc.
  14. Got in on Healthy Laughs.... We're going to play anatomy themed bingo? lol Either way it'll make for a fun girls night.
  15. I have a TRU/BRU combo store near me. I've shopped there the past two years and loved it. I get in line around 12am-2am doors open and I'm in and out within 30 minutes. I then go ahead and hit the other stores (walmart). I've been very lucky. The location I shop at has been very organized. Even when they had items that weren't marked as being on sale even when their circular said that they WERE on sale - they didn't make it difficult. They looked at my ads and said "ok, adjust the price" and I was on my way. What helps me though is that I am also very organized. I know exactly what I'm getting when I go in there, I scope it out a few days before BF and get the lay of the land, and then I don't pause to look at anything else.
  16. ahh. so the bill finally came in. $332.28 apparently they never applied my 'rebate'. :sigh: i'm dealing with directv only now - i've cut qwest out of the loop. even have my phone scheduled for disconnect and am switching my phone service to cox. but i'm keeping directv
  17. depends on the store and how hot of a deal it is. normally though i get in line sometime between midnight and 2am. this way i'm home by 7am.
  18. I love love love that this code still works!!! It's been at least 2 years now lol and I still use it to stock up every time. I just wish I wasn't allergic to their eye shadows.
  19. I can't remember the last time I bought something that I've regretted. I go with a specific game plan and lists for each store - rarely do I get something that's NOT on my list. when I do it's because it's an amazing deal and I know that I will either use the item or it will make a great gift. the unplanned extras that I get are normally dvds and stocking stuffers. Last year it was a cpk doll from walmart. The only regret I may have about that is that dd is so attached to it that she loses it if another child touches it or if we forget it at home by accident. that doll goes everywhere with us!
  20. fold-up lounge chair blanket camel pack and/or bottled water bf ads calculator cell phone insulated book bag w/breakfast & snacks copies of store policies in regards to price matching (since there have been disputes in past) past years i've brought a portable dvd player, but this year i'm bring a laptop luckily in az i don't really have to brave the elements although year before last it got REALLY cold for here. so i bundled up then.
  21. :sigh: I wish I still had paypal. When all my financial info was stolen that got compromised too. It was much easier to just close the whole thing than to get it fixed. I guess I'll have to wait for the giveaways. :)
  22. Usually I go by myself and my mother watches DD. However this year mom is going through chemo so dd will probably be with me... Unless I can convince my best bud to go with me and her hubby watches the kids.. That's a distinct possibility - if her DH is willing. Otherwise it might be a logistical nightmare - trying to take a 3 year old bf shopping is going to frazzle my nerves. Especially since I'll be picking up some gifts for her too.
  23. for me: treadmill (i already have an elliptical, but it doesn't fit in my new place) for dd: luggage - she'll be starting her visits to her nana in FL soon and her uncle in Hawaii... sunflower kitchen refrigerator (to match her kitchen sink) for bro: digital camera ($50-100) and I don't know if any of the travel companies do anything, but I'd like to get my parents a vacation or a cruise - just so they can get away and relax as my mom's going through chemo and my dad is going through hep-c treatments. they won't be able to travel til after spring though.
