  1. I'm a blanket junkie so I'd say yes... But I haven't seen this one in real life yet, so I can't say for sure. I ordered 6 bottles of shampoo/conditioners. 3 of em in a flavor I know I don't like and they're the ones I intend to exchange to get the conditioner/shampoos for the ones i DO like. :) so with the coupon code & sale I ended up saving $25 and only spent $23
  2. ya know.. i don't know. but it's worth a shot. i didn't even think of that.
  3. grr. i'm a little annoyed. i love their hair products which are on sale for 2 for 10. but in all the scents i like either the shampoos are sold out or the conditioners are sold out (for both moisturizing & voluminizing). so looks like i probably won't get anything. unless that 10 of 30 coupon works. :-D
  4. and poorly done at that.
  5. did it show the discount before you finished entering your info, or after?
  6. i've been getting catalogs from them for almost a year now, maybe longer? i've never seen any coupons or free shipping offers from them. i wish. they have really beautiful and thoughtful gifts.
  7. i think it's because she doesn't have enough posts yet to pop the link on here. i'm thinking she'll run into the same problem if she tries to pm someone. however. i think if you were to pm her your email address she could fwd the discount details to you that way. and then you could post it up here for her. maybe?
  8. The item you have engraved does not have to be purchased at Things Remembered. You can purchase just a single spoon from anywhere (for example, DD was given a nice kate spade set when she was born - no teddybears) and bring it in. Things Remembered will just have you sign a form stating that they are not responsible for replacing the item in the event that it's damaged (say misspelling). Also, a lot of jeweler's will do engravings. Expect to pay $15 and up depending on the amount of characters you get done. I had 3 large letters (sBe) engraved on a coin recently and it cost me $22.
  9. right. but what's the current generation that they're selling? my bro said he wanted a new 4gb ipod for christmas. i got him one from amazon.com on monday, it was $179.99, definately not as good as a price as listed here. but i'm wondering if it was the generation that he wanted.
  10. try hitting refresh after selecting toddler. i can't think of any reason why it's not showing the correct price. i just tried it again and it still says $5.99 for the toddler size
  11. wait. i'm behind on all this. what is the current generation?? does it vary by gb size at all? for example, 4gb?
  12. you have to switch it to toddler. :)
  13. They can't charge you a higher price if you've already approved payment for the $29.99. However, if they chose to they can cancel your order though.
  14. Thank you! Definately getting the toddler shoes.
  15. lol I always save money for after Christmas sales. Normally Kohls, Target, Macy's etc etc will have good after Christmas sales - but it's CLEARANCE items. I'm talking BM and Online. Also a lot of businesses will have sales on the day after Christmas mainly because that's the biggest return/exchange day of the year (some malls open early for it) and so there is hopes that they'll make more money then they'll give back.
  16. Absolutely was. I only wish I had snagged two shopping carts at babies r us. the diapers alone were worth every minute in line. next year if they do the same sale AND my dd is still in diapers (gosh i hope not) i will be in line again, and i'll bring a helper with me. even if dd isn't in diapers, i might still do it as i've a lot of family and friends who are expecting babies soon and it might be a boring gift but it's still a good one.
  17. This is true, but BRU's ad was not. Only TRUs ads were, I think because not all BRU's were participating in BF. I gave the newspaper an earful, especially since it'll be time to renew soon. Threatened to cancel and we're getting a reduced rate now for the first few months.
  18. i made bru a priority. purchased 6 cases. :) found out my aunt, who lives nearby also was in that insanely long line with me (but she was about 100 people back) and she bought me 5 cases of diapers. i'm hoping that by the time i run out of diapers, my DD will be potty trained!
  19. at our BRU/TRU combo store there was definately a fight. a huge group of people kept trying to cut in line. Then when the doors opened they tried to rush in sideways through the line and cut everyone off. Those in the front beat the heck outta them. They were a bloody mess. The cops were there before the fight even started, they didn't bother arresting anyone - which I think was smart on their part. They had been patrolling the parking lot since 2am (or earlier!) so they knew what was going on. Instead when the police finally stopped the fight they separated the line cutters from the line and wouldn't let them in. They were still outside when I had finished checking out!
  20. Slept in - didn't get in my first line until about 2am - Babies R Us/Toys R Us Was smart and brought my dvd player and a hoodie. It wasn't freezing so that was nice, hovered around 48-52 degrees. Some nutties were wearing short shorts (butt jiggles visible) with tank tops, and flip flops of course they were travelling together and were the loudest crybabies. It was entertaining to watch people try to cut in line that's for sure. Everyone was pretty vocal that that would not be accepted. Well. Wouldn't you know it? When the door opened a very large group of people tried to rush the doors to get in. I'm not exagerrating when I say there was bloodshed. Now. I really lucked out! Because the whole mob of folks that were in line all went to the Toys R Us side! So doors opened at 5am, and I was at checkout by 530, out the door by 6am because their computers crashed and also because the cashier couldn't comprehend coupons. there also was debate over whether or not the diapers (reg. 22.49) were really on sale for $10 Lucky for me I printed out the ad scans and the manager looked at and said they'd honor it that he had seen it mentioned before. So I shared the printout with 3 other ladies and we all got our diapers!! so. ok. yeah. what i got. Babies R Us - $114 spent, $167 saved. 6 cases of 100+ count diapers (store brand) 14 Gerber Grins & Giggles soaps & lotions 16 Gerber stage 2 food 20 Earth's Best stage 3 2 (FREE) boxes of baby cereal Ben's Bagles - $8.31 1 bagle w/cream cheese and an OJ Bakers Dozen of Bagles Walmart-$126 spent, no idea how much saved. haven't figured it out yet. 22 CDs LeapFrog tv gaming system for toddlers Huge bag of megablocks Christmas Stockings Holiday Cabbage Patch Doll Now I'm done christmas shopping with the exception of finding an ipod. my bro wants one. and i've no idea what to look for. i'm still using cassettes.
  21. i don't know the person's #. I did call the newspaper office/customer service and all it tells me is that there are no business hours today. oi. BRU is really the main stop for me today. I wonder if the store will have the ad tomorrow. I have my list already... but still.
  22. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!! For whatever reason, my whole side of the street didn't get their newspapers. How bad am I that I drove around looking for the homes that are foreclosed/empty in the neighborhood in hopes that there'd be a paper in their driveways? And of course, I went to all the local stores to see if they had a paper - and they're sold out. I get the newspaper just for the ads and coupons. More importantly mainly for black friday sales I just wanted to have the BRU ad in hand, I didn't think I was asking too much!
  23. Hmm. I THINK wal-mart would PM the walker if it's the same model, you have the Babies R Us (BRU) ad with you, and you are purchasing it during the early bird hours for BRU. I doubt they'd price match store brand to store brand diapers. They're pretty particular. Good luck!
