  1. Where in Georgia?
  2. That was a great statement, you have to give it to him!
  3. I am really disappointed at the general disregard for PC gamers out there. Best buy had one PC game, and it was "World of Warcraft" For the record, it is a slap in the face to continually offer this game and they should be embarrassed by it. It requires a monthly subscription fee. This is simply not a deal. There used to be a time when PC games ruled supreme and we had a few good titles to choose from. Sadly, I am seeing more and more shelf space being taken up by other software and console games that do not take up as much space.
  4. Wait for the $29.99 Sansa player from Best Buy, and get the 4GB Micro SD card for $7.99. This saves you a couple of bucks, gets you a better player, and gives you more flexibility in portability/being able to share songs amongst players.
  5. I would call them as well. Brad is losing traffic to this site when other sites can freely talk about it.
  6. If some of you are disappointed after alledgedly seeing this ad, then perhaps you may need to rethink your plans based upon need, versus impulse buying. I have done just that and have found quite a few bargains out there. I will be buying replacements that will upgrade my HD setup, rather than buy more of the same, since it is an unbeatable price. I have mentioned before that market trends, internet price checking, and reviewing past BF deals are a good indicator of just what a deal is, not because a group of know-it-alls panned it. I already know where I am going to be on Black Friday, where will you be?
  7. K Mart, are you kidding me???
  8. No, they don't. They will normally try to move their old stock beforehand. I was there yesterday and they were pushing a lot of 720P sets.
  9. Jim, You have me shaking my head on this one! Must resist comment..........................
  10. If you think rollbacks are bad, what do you think the overall opinion of the clientele is by corporate execs? To help give you an idea, there is a little website that will make it all come into focus::::::http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/
  11. There is a big difference in what you did as opposed to the questionable ethics of the Price adjustment. Circumventing the system is good for the one who gets away with it, but hurts others who show up for the anticipated stock on hand, and since many that buy beforehand are trying to be "Slick", the reality is that the items will not be there as promised. Participating in this way hurts all involved and turns off customers who in turn blame the store for not having the required items. I realize that the offending stores must change and instruct their managers to not price adjust any items during this particular sale week. I would personally fire a manager or store clerk who price-adjusted their own stock. It is no different than the Walmart employees who were caught giving super discounts on big ticket items to friends and family members, and even intentionally scanning the wrong item to get a much more expensive item on the cheap.
  12. Shopping spree, in sequence with store opening hours, let the games begin!!!!!! This is my 50th Birthday "50 on Black Friday"shopping list, so excuse me if it seems a bit favorable to me! 12:01 am, Premium Outlets: window shop only while wife goes absolutely insane with shopping frenzy! 3:00 am, Kohl's Wii Gaming Tower $39.99 Ion USB Turntable $69.99 4:00 am, Target: The Westinghouse 40" 1080p TV $298.00 The Dark Knight DVD $3.99 5:30 am, Radio Shack Gigaware 52x CD-R Discs (50-Pack) $4.99 8GB SanDisk microSDHC, SDHC Card or Flash Drive $16.99 SanDisk Sansa 4GB Clip+ MP3 Player (Black) $29.99 6:00 am, Lowe's Werner 6" Aluminum Stepladder $19 Werner Aluminum Work Platform $19 Total $499.94 anyone got a 6 cent filler item?????
  13. 48 degrees! It froze last year!
  14. Good, my wife is trying to do an outlet mall run before the store opens!
  15. For example, a 3 year warranty is $38 from Squaretrade on the Westy.
  16. Ok, the more people you scare off, the better the chances are for those who really need it! remember people that you can buy Squaretrade warranties cheap! I can tell you horror stories on every brand out there. Even if they did have parts, who do you know would know how to fix it themselves?? Not many! Parts are expensive, and so are service calls. Get a warranty on all major purchases and avoid the headaches!
  17. So, I take it that your store is not rolling out the good stock all day long in intervals? Very interesting!
  18. No, they are not generally known for that. they prefer to keep their deals centered on housewares, clothes, and entertainment items. They usually throw down on TV's and players.
  19. I will have to agree with the Bluray price. Not what we expected from target. they should have threw down a $5 base price. Way too many high priced ones! Video games are always a hit and miss, and better deals can be had on their closeouts all year long!
  20. Target is not typically the loss leader for larger TVs, so you will have to wait for the other big two stores. Target is known for second tier mid-size TV deals.
  21. Westinghouse a junk brand??? Ha! Second tier definitely, but not junk. many people love their Westy's and our church models are doing fine 4 years running!
  22. way overpriced. Not impressed! $79 would have been more like it.
  23. has anyone noticed the second and third tier prices on LCDs at Walmart??? Interesting.....
  24. It is still early, don't be a sad Klown just yet!:)
