It just goes to prove what I have been saying all along. We are still living in the age of cheap electronics, and high quality. That trip down memory lane when the alleged best deals were had was just relative to that place and time. Computers and Laptops are more robust and have much more capacity and staying power than the E trash that was to be had with rebates. people will complain this year as well because they want something for nothing.

I am going to ask if Amazon.co.uk will participate in Black Friday this year. They have been a strong competitor to Amazon and other US sellers this year on Blu-rays.

I am going to disagree with your opinion based upon the early reaction we get from mean people in cars that mock us. I have had the extreme pleasure in being there, in all my glory to see some of the same types whine and cry who wished they would have listened to me instead of mock and roll out of sight.

Ok, I'll answer that one. Plenty! But it is not what was inside the store that they were after. It was the reaction of drive-bys that they were after, and the questions and comments they received was worth the price of admission. Oddly enough, the real trouble started when they returned to Best Buy with the tent, and others assumed that they were line cutting in the worst way, with a tent in tow!

I have been saving aluminum cans and scrap all year long. I can't wait for November 1st to sell them and see how much they can go toward one item to reduce the overall cost! I have quite a few crushed bags full at this time.

It is quite simple. I almost always do this for friends and family, and will seldom charge a small fee when it is not a relation. They trust me with their money, and i get the satisfaction of knowing that i did something unselfish for others. A pleasant bonus is the fact that I get rewards points for all of their purchases! I would rather give any unwanted tickets away than to see someone else sell them or profit from them. Others in my posse are free to do what they feel is in their best interest, but I shop online as well, and scored the 6th Ave TV deal and passed my TV ticket to someone else as a result.

I am collecting soccer balls for children in Honduras. Most children cannot afford them and they must eat first, so it just never seems to happen for them. The items will be shipped with teams headed for construction projects through the IMB. International Mission Builders. I also found out that ICEE puts soccer balls on their order form, so we can get them from ICEE as well. It is on their winter list, not the summer one.

I will be spending other people's money, so there is a change in the source, but not the amount in total.

The big rumor is that Best Buy hoarded some HP models for Black Friday.

Jacksonville, FL. 1st in line, got everything we were after. Got home and took a nap. An hour later, my $675 LG 50" plasma TV was delivered. I then checked my email for the entertainment center that i ordered for it. It came in! Went to get it, and while i was there, I noticed that all of the Bluray deals were still there!!! I even pricematched a few. What a great Birthday it was!!!

The next night we were watching the parking lot, and a van with a big antenna boom went up, and the next thing you know, we were on the 6 o'clock news on channel 4. They also stayed for the live broadcast at 11!

I also made a point to give out tickets to shoppers who asked me. This was after I made the determination that I no longer needed certain items thanks to online shopping deals. There was also confusion created by Best Buy wanting to go green and refusing to print specials, so we had to get tickets just in case they made a mistake, in which they did of course! I received a lot of thank you(s) and one guy followed me out to my car to thank me again.....

There was a fellow who waited two days in his car for a $189 laptop. We voted to give him one of our tickets. he earned the right to have one. Another guy earned the cold shoulder by being a jerk to us, he got zip.
