That is the problem, no control of the line. Both store employees and customers can and should control the line. Being passive and letting someone through is no way to play it.

Finding female campers will be a challenge. In my group, we have women and a police officer. I am wondering how much time you can spend away from the family business. This may impact your arrival time, and could mean that you are not able to be where you want to be in line.

I was at a Walmart in Orange Park, Florida. Remember when the razor scooters were the rage? I was next to the pallet and two small children were next to me. The crowd nearly crushed them and my self trying to grab the scooters. I yelled for the people to stop crushing the children and that I would pass the scooters back, since i was trapped anyway. Luckily, It was not in an inner city area and the situation worked out with calmer crowds, once they knew they would get one. From my experience, Walmart is still an extremely dangerous place to bring small children. From the incidents that still happen there, it is irresponsible to even contemplate it, seeing the herd mentality going on there. This is about the nicest i care to be on the subject, and if not sugar coating the obvious is not enough, then perhaps by someone getting a tad bit offended i will have made them think twice about it.

Here in the south they don't have carts. They have something that looks exactly like them, but you never, ever call them a cart. they are called a buggy.

If you are after the so so sale, then I can see why. Walmart has these all of the time. One year they even had the netbooks at a decent price after black friday.

I am not sold on them, but relatives seem to want them, so if anyone has the capability to hoard, it is Best Buy.

That is why prior to 2004, all of my shopping was done at Compusa and Walmart. I would line up at Compusa for the midnight sale, then off to Walmart with the wifey. Best Buy was an afterthought back then. Good times though.

As one who actually gets the chance to see most of the laptops, be advised that so many variables exist from store to store and what they are offering, that statements like that are to be considered highly speculative at best, but can and do happen. We have had some high quality laptops come out of BF sales fairly consistently.

As I recall, the small Mom and Pop stores were worse than convenience stores, but some did well for their communities that needed a helping hand. Those were a rare breed though.

Just use Google to find out what stores will be in the town you will shop in, as well as the maps that will pop up from the search results. You will do just fine with advance knowledge gained from your preparations.
