I feel for you guys. My 17 year old was allowed to purchase anything he wanted with the cash he had. Had they not allowed him, the media would have been all over the story of a Delayed-entry Marine being denied shopping rights......oh boy, what a story that would have been!

Amen to that! When you do have a positive experience, it is good practice to go in later and thank them for all of their hard work!

I wouldn't cancel a thing. AVG has free antivirus that is not bundled with bloatware. The push to TV adapter was clearly an incentive for the next business day. It is regrettable, but you had no right to the deal. it doesn't hurt to ask nicely for it though.

Perhaps you are the one who is being unreasonable. It seems like they were trying to get the item to you, even if it had to be back-ordered. This is why the experts on here tell you to not put all of your eggs in one basket, especially on online orders bundled with giftcards and the like. With all of the fraud going on out there, mailing you a new giftcard is completely legitimate. There are always two sides to the story. You may have been rude as well, and didn't even realize it since you were upset. Telephone supervisors will often react to a customer's demeanor. This does not excuse bad behavior, and most conversations are recorded for quality/managerial review. If you were just as rude, they will ignore your plea. If you were in the right, the supervisor will take the hit. My advice to you is to talk to a community relations person on the bestbuy forums website. Do not respond to forum posts by trolls and plants from the company. they will contact you by private message.

I am hopeful that something useful will come out of Cyber Monday for PC game deals. I have already talked to a rep from Origin, the Digital Distribution service for EA games. I was able to get an advance coupon for 20 percent off of one purchase, as well as free shipping for games not downloadable. Coupled with the fact that they gave me a 25 Percent off coupon for my birthday, this could be very interesting indeed.

A responsible teenager is ok. Newborns and toddlers indicate a lack of respect for life and limb.

[Q. All I can say is that I can't wait to do it again next year. Oh and to those of you wondering, I enjoy the sport of camping at Best Buy on Black Friday. I love it so much so that each year I offer to stand in line for family and friends who otherwise would never stand in line as long as is required. naturally those who I line up for do give me a little something, which I in turn use get a couple movies or a game or two that's on sale, so it's all good. I tell you this though, to everyone around this area who knows me considers me THE Black Friday "go to guy" whether they want the details on the latest ad drops or need me to stand in line or whatever, I'm right there ready to help. I end up doing much the same thing. i spent my birthday delivering the joy to all of the happy recipients. One scary footnote: I delivered the ASUS Transformer to a friend. He passed it to his 6 year old son to put inside. I then saw the 6 year old come back out with the item unboxed, but still in the wrapping. I told the friend that his son was coming out with it, and as you might have guessed it, it was dropped from arm's length to the sidewalk! We immediately inspected it, and then proceeded to plug it in, and thankfully, a thin client with an SSD internally helped it to survive and all was fine.

I am with you. The Walmarts that I visited would indicate that they took it in the shorts this Black Friday. Tons of unsold doorbusters that nobody wisely wanted.

I just waited outside and tested the waters. When the system crashed, we were already in the pole position to get them. No big deal for us, but it just goes to serve as a warning for others that the servers cannot handle the load.

You guys crack me up about the HDMI not being there! This is not even built for that and people are poo pooing it all over the internet! Tons of laughs on this one! BTW, our group got 6 of them, and not a one expected to use that function.

Yes it was. I tried to help people, and when some made me mad with their line cutting, I retaliated by asking all in my group to obtain the big ticket items that the jumpers were after. We had a guy here who let his wife in, who then let two of her friends in line which were right behind us. We got extra Dynex and Sharps and some of the cutters hopes were then dashed. We hooked up some of the people who didn't cut in the store by giving tickets away. Hot items breed contempt and I saw that even the Dynex was such an item.

So many people tried to get things and failed on the internet. it is a shame that their servers couldn't handle the traffic. They need to use their customers for a stress test before an event like this! I couldn't even order a flipping Harry Potter movie, and I was right outside the front door!

You would think that they would give more to the first in line, speaking form experience, but in the 7 years in the #1 position, I had only received one $20 gift card. This year, their honest mistakes when trying a new system to check people out cost them a whole lot more.

Apparently, the legislature here in Florida is going to take up the issue of tents as well. We shall see how it goes. We had heard that St. Johns county had removed campers as well.

We got one for an old friend. He loves his Vaio, so when that contract ran out we are moving the affection to a new brand. This is the first year Samsung has had such an inexpensive model.

My store had 18. I was the first one to receive the ticket. They made the mistake of letting out the white proof copy and made the mistake of letting someone in the will-call line have one. this caused a shortage of them by exactly one. The lines in the store were so long, that we were the last to be in the TV line (They had a line inside the store for every major group of items). We completed the process and went behind the store to the pickup area. We were then told that they ran out of TVs. My wife came out shaking her head. I calmly asked the manager what he could and was going to do. He said that those TVs were not real Sharps anyway, and he was going to have to bite the bullet on this one, since I had the #1 ticket. I then told him that I really liked LG TVs and he gave me a $700 TV! I can't wait to unbox it! I had also bought a warranty (cheaply) on the other model, and they transferred the warranty to the LG for no extra charge. As a footnote to this. the same thing happened with the Dynex TV. We had tickets for two that they were supposed to have. We saw one on the floor with damage to the box, and they said that there were no more due to the white proof being given out as a ticket. I said that I believed them, because my son got the #1 ticket for the Toshiba Bluray player, and I got the white ticket! We checked out the TV in the damaged box, and no damage to the TV was done, so we waited for the Manager to see what comparable item he was going to offer us for the second one. He then decided to give to us the Dynex 1080P that had the addition of a DVD player built in!

TV 4 interview again! It never ends.....perhaps midnight, hehehe.

Good! They spent all day with us, including the newspaper. I heard it was in today's paper, but i am too busy bailing out of the recent storm to read it!

You are right, we do have time, but it is not a luxury. We have earned time that we save up just for this event. If you feel wronged by the early campers, I cannot change your opinion of us. All I can say is if you were able to be with us, your wants and needs would be taken care of. I am sorry to hear about your husband. My suggestion to you is to get with the line and see how you can get with the group.

I used to think that Circus-Circus was a place in Las Vegas. I now know that the circus resides here in Jacksonville.
