  1. Keep in mind that some of the other titles may just be the sequels to Lord of the rings, just like last year.
  2. To release this so early, one would have to think that the Execs are looking closely at the reactions on the message boards and Facebook. Walmart has something else up it's secret sleeve..........
  3. Excellent advice. Some may pass on it because it has one major setback....no Bluray. Kids do not care. the Xbox is a solid buy for them. The addition of a Kinect makes it a good family buy as well. Mom gets $50 for the purse......Win Win.
  4. That depends. The overall savings may determine whether the item will be available or not at that price.
  5. Be sure to check with your store manager on this. Stock may well depend upon the class and size of the store in your area.
  6. I will have to look at the .PDF version, but i believe that the A Team may be listed twice!
  7. So very true! Emerson trash again, and other 60hz TVs that went unsold but the real gems are the LGs and the Toshiba. Solid laptop deals. Tablet deals are a no show(waste of print space). Games, toys , small home appliances and movies are spot on as usual. Overall a C+ ad.
  8. Junk
  9. Is it the one where you throw 3 birds against a target for points? Then I have one if it is.
  10. The news sources point to Black Friday as being your best bet for a cheap hard drive due to the flooding. The price structure, printed ads, and special purchases were made prior to the situation developing.
  11. I will have a pot of coffee on the burner!
  12. Go back to the ads from 2007 and then come back after you have recalibrated your opinion. This type of thread and negative feelings towards the ads happen every year. Two main things affect this. One is the expectancy that prices must go down, and the other is product saturation. When both feelings merge, you stay home until you actually need things again, then your attitude changes relative to your new situation.
  13. I handed out all of the business cards at work, and the Magnet ended up on the refrigerator...the obvious place of honor...thanks Brad!
  14. Target's coupon book/Toy wishbook is available at customer service. Toys R US was a mailout, but they should have it in the store as well. Most are available online as either a PDF, flash or HTML file.
  15. There is a device where you can utilize a certain radio station to tune into. The adapter accepts an SD card, so it can go from the computer to the adapter. This device also plugs into the 12volt adapter(other end of it, of course). Some even come with a small remote. The cheap ones are less than $10, but you provide your own SD card. Places like Meritline and the like should have them in profusion.
  16. It seems to be a very common price point this year. The question remains as to the actual gift card level each big box retailer may offer to make it a hot deal.
  17. The Brackets could be bookmarked. It was fun and a great idea.
  18. Demonizing of customers by store employees is not a new or especially bright aspect of doing business with Best Buy. I have seen this type of errant behavior on nearly every occasion on the Best Buy forums, and it sickens me to even go on there, thinking that anything productive will come out of the experience. I have posted to the forums and even agreed with posters with valid complaints, only to be met by a tank full of sharks just waiting for someone to bleed so they can grab the first bite. When Best Buy employees get the chance to voice their opinions on any forum, it is usually to snap back at a customer with insulting comments, as if they can only find respect out of hurting others. Again, they are sadly mistaken and only serve to ruin the overall opinion of Best Buy. Time after time, you will see that moderators only intervene after you are persistent and they are confident that the employees and former employees have been sufficiently fed.
  19. That's right, demonize the customer base that makes it possible for you to earn an income! These kids have no earthly idea how wrong they are and how misdirected their comments are. If I were the CEO, I would take these comments as a portend to his future tenure in the company. Such disloyal employees are not what Best Buy needs when their future does not look so good. Some of these kids don't even realize that they are held accountable for negative comments they make against the company and I would venture to say that a few of them will silently be hauled up to HR after Black Friday and given their pink slips.
  20. Although I sympathize with you, it is a positive change for those of us that camp at Best Buy. No more sleepless night and one less day to have to deal with the gear being out.
  21. They need to buy out Compusa here. It is not the same company since the relaunch.
  22. I agree. It is just plain smart to utilize the strength of the purchase, and to challenge them to try and beat it. Missed opportunities are regretful. Retailers are making it easier to save and the receipts should be kept in a safe, climate controlled place.
  23. Here is another rumor of mine which came true! Best Buy did, in fact hoard them! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Computers-PCs/iPad-Tablets/pcmcat209000050006.c?id=pcmcat209000050006&DCMP=rdr6386 They are now bundling them.
  24. This means more chairs than tents, hehehe.
  25. Fortunately for you, some retailers discount these knowing there is a market around this time of year for them. I found one at Walmart (last BF time-frame), and while it was in-route, the price went down. I called them and they adjusted the price to save even more.
