  1. keep looking off the beaten path for them. I will probably check to see if the local stores got them in as promised.
  2. Agreed. I just checked my phone, and the entire conversation was recorded! I had assumed that the pause button was working, but it kept on recording. I truly believe that the store managers do not have a clue (have not been briefed, and kept mum otherwise) and need to check their online component from time to time. Hey Klown, Isn't that Best Buy right on the other side of the bay from you?
  3. I was in my local Best Buy today, and I got the manager on me within the first few minutes after taking stock takes with my Smartphone. She talked to me off the record and said that there were conflicting stories on the validity of the ad, and then she asked when i was going to set up camp. Apparently, they must have been on the lookout since the Tampa Guy set up his tent. I told her that I could not tell her the exact time, but it would be soon.
  4. The only difference between the two policies is that on Black Friday, the old Price match policy is still in effect. You just do not get the difference in the form of a gift card.
  5. Station Chief will have to field that question. He felt that a smaller. condensed list was best, and although I did not agree, it is his list and I respect his opinion.
  6. Walmart will come out with a 5 AM sale with the missing items. Best Buy will have one or two secret items. Amazon will continue to price-match exact items.
  7. If they ask, I will gladly try to make it happen. They have until my departure for the line for this to happen. After that, I could be available on the line if needed. You would have to stay tuned as usual and submit questions for better service to you.
  8. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate constructive criticism, it helps to make for a better experience for all. The reason why I volunteer my time on this site is because I have found the people on here to be the most open, honest and helpful of all the forums.
  9. It was nice to see things from Bigjim's side of the fence. The problem I had with the focus going in and out was an auto-focus feature turned on by default. That is now corrected. When you do not have predetermined questions, it is rather difficult to pick questions out of a scrolling lineup! One part of my room that most did not see was the 106 inch HD screen that is run by a computer and projector. Now that the auto-focus feature is not a problem, it may be of use if another Webcast is called for.
  10. I would suggest reading the rather obvious and descriptive negative reviews on this toy. The most negative review that runs in common is the voice recognition problem. You may still decide to get the toy, in spite of the reviews and find that your child still likes it. My guess would be the under 10 age group. The older kids will tire quickly of it's limited scope, and you will be forever parted with your $40 investment in their happiness. (Unless you keep all of the packaging for a hasty return, keep the receipt!)
  11. In my own defense, I did demo the Easy bake oven live on the show. Over half of the show was dedicated to current toys in the marketplace and i was taking suggestions and feedback from viewers as well. I had also set up a toy talk thread, but not a soul responded with a question, nor did they come up with any alternatives to what I had originally come up with. The cost involved to set up demonstrations without hearing what viewers want is prohibitive at best. I do not believe it was a stretch to ask some people who are hurting financially to think outside the box for the first half of the show. It was aimed to help them save, while still giving their children a semblance of a happy holiday. If your situation is more fortunate than others, I am glad for you. I had planned two other shows which would have been more to your tastes. Unfortunately, I was only given this one time to do a show, until needed at a future date.
  12. I would recommend that we do simulcasts from our own personal Best Buy tent Cities. You have a feature to have me join you. i could test out the tether this week for feasibility.
  13. I have seen how they do this when they want to set up an impromptu movie theater. It is called an inflatable screen. they can set it up in the parking lot.
  14. Coffee, now that would be nice for the grown-ups since the kids will watch the movie.
  15. Oh, so true!
  16. I would have written the manager a citation for a frivolous call.
  17. You guys crack me up! Arrival times, especially now that the good ad is upon us is strictly confidential!
  18. Walmart and Target are now the Two ugly Stepsisters of BF 2011! Congrats!
  19. From a security standpoint it must have been a nightmare. Typical treatment for the numbers that they were subjected to. Calling the police was way out of line though.
  20. Some will be. They haven't released some secret items yet as well. You do know that Walmart is not finished with their ad, don't you? The 5 AM sale is conspicuously missing for a reason.
  21. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I got carried away! No, I'm not sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is like comfort food for campers!
  22. Well start cringing! The newer smart phones work better in general than a lot of the cameras being offered on BF. They take good HD video as well. It is true that nothing compares to a camera with dedicated lenses and the professional knowledge required to use it, but the shoot and go folks just want something easy and dependable.
  23. After my prediction came true on the door busters, it looks like they may have to rethink the ticket system!
  24. Just came back to check in.......Can you say excited now?? hehehe.
  25. Look closely at the packaging. The Devil is in the details, and it has Bluray packaging!
