Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008

There are 2 different sets. 1 is clearanced, the other is not. You probably need to scan them. Yes, the Color Explosion sets are often popular with older kids. Mine, fortunately, don't like them. We took them on vacation last summer and they were a dud, but we ended up with a lot of black finger prints everywhere. -

Yes, it is in the kids part of that section with the crayons, markers and craft sets. By the way, I saw the reset aisle in one store, and it looks like they are cutting way back on the craft sets going forward. -

I got several Color Wonder sets for myself and my friend. I also got some jewelry sets to give as gifts, a paint by number and some of the stepping stone kits. Also a cool fingerprint science kit for DS. We love Color Wonder but HATE Color Explosion (the black sets) as that black stuff gets on their fingers and ends up all over the place. Yuk! I found some of the LPS & Hello Kitty Valentines stuff today, but they wanted full price - yeah right! I left it there. -

Just so you can see it, I believe that they have the offer on the 101 Dalmations DVD that just came out. So take a look at that the next time you go. They most often have it on the electronics and vacuums, but also on Tide from time to time and other items. Actually, go to Target.com and look at the weekly ad. In our region they have a $50 card with some of the vacuums, the $5 card I mentioned above, a $25 card with some exercise equipment and one with some Ipod speaker system thing. -

Yes, at one store they had marked them 75% off. I will be heading out to other stores today, and can report back when I visit them. -

Target often offers a gift card with purchase. It is usually advertised in the weekly sale ad, and on the shelf tag. -

It is possible your store has them marked correctly. It is also possible you are looking at the wrong design. The one we are talking about is covered with full body designs of figures like Cinderella & the Prince, etc. There is a regular world map Esphera puzzle that is full price. There is also a World map puzzle that has some Disney characters on it that is full price. -

$7.48 would still have been a good price - 75% off. -

You don't have to use their seeds. Tell her to go online and read about hydroponics and she can get some ideas what to plant without spending a small fortune on seeds. Our local hydroponics store sells regular seeds like you buy at Walmart, etc. Thanks for the heads up, though! I'll have to make a point of getting it set up sooner rather than later. -

It is part of that department, but should be marked tomorrow, not today. -

No, they didn't, and after posting earlier I realized it is Monday, and I think they do the markdown tomorrow. -

I am pretty excited. We have a hydroponics store within walking distance, so I even have a place to go to ask questions and buy seeds (much cheaper than the "kits" for the garden)! -

But not the OJ, usually only apple, grape or fruit punch. they look exactly like the 15 packs, but they don't say 15 on the front. The 15 packs have three rows of 5 boxes, the 10s have 2 rows of 10 boxes. you sometimes need to dig around, and you might go months or years before you find your first set. or, you might be like me and find them all the time. -

Yes. I thought it would go last week, but it didn't. I am after a couple of the stepping stone kits. My boys LOVE making stepping stones. They play with them in our back garden, so I don't mind them making a bunch, but the kits are expensive, and I never seem to make it to Michaels with coupons. I don't know if you live close enough to do this, but I find they are marking them at a bad time for me. So I am going to put stuff in a cart and then park the cart in another department. I usually pick sporting goods and toss a couple of sleeping bags on top. Most people assume they are go-backs and leave them alone. Then I head back a little later after markdowns are complete. I only do it when I can't hang out and wait. Our stores tend to mark these right at about 9am or so when I need to be taking DS to preschool. If you try it, just make sure you leave at least one of the item for them to mark. -

It is a mini self-contained hydroponic system for growing plants. It comes with the lights already installed and everything. DH & I LOVE to cook, so it would be nice to be able to have herbs growing year round in the house, especially basil since we do a lot of Italian & Thai. -

I am not entirely sure, so I came up with the price on the fly. I only ever saw them at this particular store, which is very large (3 stories inside an upscale mall). I tried searching the Target website to see what they were selling them for, but I have had a lot of trouble searching Target.com lately as it just seems to sit and spin for a long time without producing a result. There wasn't a red tag on it, so I was just making a stab in the dark. I don't even know if they took them all the way to 75%. -

My deal of the day was an Aero Garden for $24.48!! I was ecstatic! I have wanted one of these since I first saw them in a catalog, but they were around $500 then. They are "down" to $180-$200 most places now, but that is still too high for me. I saw this one on clearance about a month or so ago at the Glendale Galleria store, but figured they'd be gone by the time they went down enough. Sure enough, they were gone, but I saw one on an endcap with regular merchandise, turned so it wasn't obvious it didn't belong. Anyway, I was doing that "oh, please, oh, please" prayer we all do from time to time, all the way to the scanner. It was NOF, and the cashier did a "name your price" thing. Whoopee!! I am not even going to tell DH as he'll be annoyed at the size. But I will have to clean out some office space in the house to set it up. I have a home office, so he can't complain too much. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51V5T0TY5EL._SS400_.jpg -

These are the ones that were actually clearanced with the Christmas stuff. So they probably found them in the back or were a return. I got those as part of regular clearance. They are pretty cool! Good find! -
Yeah, they are saying that you can expect to see them dumped by most retailers pretty quickly. They expect to see them all over the internet pretty soon.

With extremely few exceptions, Target only takes Holiday merchandise that low. Generally speaking they salvage it after 75% off - sometimes after 50%. -

Me too! I was SO happy. I missed them at my regular store and decided to trek down to another area of town. Had a free appetizer coupon for Pick Up Stix and it expires tomorrow, and he loves eating there, so it makes the trip go better. This store is ALWAYS behind by a week or so. I found 2 on the shelf (Alhambra store for those in my area) in the regular area, but marked 50% off. Scanned 75% though. I bought 1 and left 1 in the Garden Center when I decided I really didn't need 2. I also found Ben 10 Transforming Arm toys for 75% off $6.48. -

I think they just marked them this monday, so it'll be 2 weeks at least.
