Backpacks FINALLY 75% off today in Pasadena!

Argghh!!! I was all excited thinking they were doing it here in Pasadena today, but they didn't. They only marked the items that were moved over to the regular stationery aisle, and even then they only marked the items that they knew belonged there. I was able to get a couple of things but that was it. They never went and marked the remaining stuff in the old BTS aisle, and they didn't touch the backpacks! :mad::mad: Oh well, it has been that kind of day. I was so happy that I saw they had the Cheerios on sale along with a free gallon of milk, and I had 2 coupons! I walked out with 4 middle sized boxes of Cheerios and a gallon of milk for $9! Got home, dropped the milk trying to sit things on the counter, and had half a gallon spill before I could pick it up. Couldn't have spilled in the kitchen, either, no, no. Had to fall in such a way as to spill all over the area rug in the dining room that we just steam cleaned last weekend. Oh yeah, it figures....

No joy on BTS today. They were stocking a lot more backpacks on the wall today, so I am crossing my fingers that they'll do it tomorrow along with all the regular stationery stuff.

Bunch of cameras are at 15%. They even had them in their sale ad this week. Was going to buy the Polaroid kiddie camera till I read the reviews about it online. All the people who bought them said they were complete junk. So, I guess I'll be watching for real camera to go low. Congrats on yours!

wouldn't do any good as they don't follow a similar pattern for clearance. Their clearance is done store by store, so what is clearance in one area wouldn't necessarily be in another.

Well, if you don't know anyone who needs it, you could always donate it to one of the many charities that help women who are having a baby and in need. Some hospitals & churches have associated charities that work with women who need help. Social Service agencies, too, help women who are low income and have babies, and it is the kind of thing that really can make them feel great. Our church does a big thing for Mother's Day every year to collect everything from diapers to bedding to clothing for a local clinic that does just that type of work, and it always comes just after the big baby clearance, so I enjoy buying for it. Just a couple of thoughts...

Best deal I have found in awhile, Thomas the Tank Engine Crib bedding, 4 piece set 75% off for $17.48! Great gift! I had to drive out fairly far today, so I hit 5 Targets. Only the San Dimas store had BTS & Backpacks 75% off. Unfortunately, they didn't have much left. Oh well...

stopped back by one store this afternoon when I went to pick up the boys from school, and still no movement on College 08 or BTS. A handful of backpacks had dropped to 75%, but really just the School of Rock. That stuff just doesn't sell apparently, as I have seen a LOT of that stuff marked clearance pretty early after it comes to the sales floor.

Ahhh...yes. that is called shape-based pricing. Because it takes up so much space on the truck or plane that they charge more. The Post Office is also doing this now, though it is a lot less of an issue if you use Parcel Post.

College 08, BTS, and backpacks all still 30% in Pasadena. Very frustrating since I could not wait around yesterday at the store I was in for them to get to the stupid rug I want. UGH!!!

Our Walmart has them full price still. bummer!!

THey were marking some of it down to 75% today at one of my stores. I keep hoping they'll do the rugs as I want one for my boys' new room. We moved and have all hardwood floors. Don't want to invest much in the rug for their room since they are so young and will manage to trash it. School supplies, backpacks & lunch kits all still 30% at 3 local stores. :no:

Just my $.02, but a lot of us lost out on these by waiting last year. They salvaged them at 50%. If you REALLY want one, get it and hold it till they do the final markdown. Otherwise they may just salvage them, and you won't get it at all.

practically nothing left for BTS clearance at any of our stores. They did a better job (from their perspective) ordering this year. Ours are all still 30% as of this morning. Hoping they'll drop soon. They have already started setting Christmas stuff as of yesterday.They always have a couple of aisles along with Halloween. They have mostly moved the BTS stuff to end caps in other areas and Halloween was completely set a week ago here.

That happened to me last year. Some of them don't get marked down, they just move them to the regular aisle. same here. really a bummer! We just haven't had squat for a while.

Here they are all gone except the School of Rock ones. The others disappeared at 50%. Not sure if they sold out or they were salvaged. School of Rock are only about 30% off.

Nope. Can't say I feel that way at all. I haven't found squat. They've been selling out of everything I want well before it goes low enough for me to buy it. It has been pretty lousy in my neck of the woods.... :no::(

I managed to get two at two different stores, but the third store where I found them they wanted full price, too. Darn! Thought they'd make great gifts and a nice donation. Still, got 2!

Well bummer that it wouldn't scan. If you use an inkjet printer, you might try changing the DPI settings in the advanced section. If your lines aren't nice and crisp, sometimes the scanner cannot scan it. However, many of their coupons don't scan with the primary scanner, and they have to use the gun. If it happens again, you can always say something like, "another cashier used the scan gun when another one of the Target.com coupons didn't scan with the big scanner." If that doesn't work, then there is nothing to do, but it is worth a try. If you have access to a laser printer, they generally work best.

the computers really are often wrong. unless it is a clearance item, it is worth calling before taking the trouble to go.

Just plain untrue. if they refuse them, call the 800 number. They need retraining.
