  1. It is completely gone at our stores. Salvaged.
  2. Could be. Don't like to rain on anyone's parade, but they have been salvaging a lot more big stuff at 50%, too, so there is always that possibility.
  3. Yeah. It took 3 of us to get one of those kiddie 4 wheelers into a cart for my friend. Big!
  4. Not sure where you live in CA, but the little Razor bikes are illegal on all streets & sidewalks throughout the state of CA. They are considered Pocket Bikes or electric scooters. As scooters they don't have VIN and cannot be registered for street riding, and they can't be ridden on sidewalks etc. either. If they could, they would also require you to have a drivers license to operate them. http://www.electricscooterparts.com/laws.html
  5. GI Joe set http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31FZrinkH4L._SL500_AA280_.jpg Star wars tent http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VjBYCbYfL._SS500_.jpg Also got the Transformers Straightaway Shootout with 5 small transformers for $4.98 each Legos from clearance are salvage
  6. Bummer. I park on the street at night and had my window broken for some druggie to steal my GPS. He probably got enough for one hit. Really sad. I make the kids stick their DS under the seat when they have to leave it in the car for some reason. I haven't seen any deals on them. I'll keep an eye out, though.
  7. Mine had been. I found the ones today at the 2 Pasadena stores, and they weren't there before. I think the Temple of Doom was a new markdown.
  8. Woohoo! It seems it was my lucky day. I found these Legos all 50% off. I had one of the markdown team scan a couple for me and she said they were salvage but wished me luck at the register. They were still ringing 50% off. So, I guess they DID salvage most of them without dropping lower. ### Legos Star Wars Torrent - $27.98 ### Legos Pirates Loot Island - $9.98 ### Legos Space Police Gold Heist - $9.98 ### Legos Indiana Jones Temple of Doom - $44.98
  9. Atlantis is new stuff, not clearance. There are some clearance Power Miners (small sets), Agents, Star Wars and the large Indiana Jones from the last movie (the one that was $50 on BF). Also some small Pirates sets, and Lego City with the orange Truck & helicopter.
  10. Not everything goes 75% off, so it is entirely possible. They just salvaged a bunch of GPS units at one of my stores this morning. It is less common with toys, but it happens. I am hoping they don't do it with the Legos I stashed, but it might.
  11. They were marking several things in Baby out our stores this morning. I didn't look at the details as there were several women waiting, but I think it was 75% off. At least some was. Whoever was looking, that DuoGlide stroller also went down this morning. Oh, and there are 2 at the Pasadena 2 story store off Lake for anyone in the SoCal area.
  12. Yeah, it stinks, but officially things go back up to the full price after a certain amount of time. If they actually try to look it up in the system, it will give full price. I always try to pick a good, familiar cashier when I have one of those. Even then it doesn't always work out. And sometimes they actually re-stock it for full price. They had those little Pokemon & Mario Kart card boxes in the Christmas section. They clearanced all the way to 90% off, and they are back at full price on the shelves, and ring up full price. Go figure...
  13. My mom does too...I talked to one friend who had a friend with a very valuable (at the time) collection of beanie babies when she was getting a divorce. The husband held them hostage in the settlement for long enough that they lost all value. When she finally got them, they were worthless.
  14. I heard the employees saying that they thought these would all sell out early for the Superbowl.
  15. make sure they are legal where he lives. Some states, like CA & TX outlaw them entirely for use on streets or sidewalks. Same with some cities and even small towns. Some areas only allow them to be used on private property. Of course, if he has lots of space at home, no problem.
  16. Say the target toys go in at least one store. They were still hauling them out. Legos did not drop at that store. Bummed! Got some 700 thread count sheets for $15 a package. These were the same ones on sale on Black Friday. I bought a set for $30 then and liked them.
  17. :tongue1:10-15?!?!?! More like 50-100 in ALL our local stores! We have an entire aisle with nothing but those stupid elephants at the 2 stores closest to me. Can't imagine what the buyer was thinking! It was $40 regular price! And even if you want to do something for charity, is it REALLY going to involve buying one of those?
  18. Buy it full price online, then return the faulty one to the store.
  19. I saw a double stroller on clearance yesterday. I don't know which one because I don't need one and didn't look. I was looking for other baby stuff for gifts. But there is definitely at least one on clearance.
  20. Seriously, unless you are getting information directly from a markdown team member, you cannot trust what they tell you regarding when something will be marked down. THEY DO NOT KNOW. Only the markdown team.
  21. I am not sure they have the tags out for them. If I find them again, I'll try to get the DPCI for you. They may be stocked by a vendor like the cards. In that case you just have to hope for them. But if the store stocks them, they may have them in back.
  22. Just an FYI, these are not clearance. They are $5.99 each and they are sold in the area with the collector cards (Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, Sports cards, etc.). I saw a bunch and tracked it down.
  23. Stores with smaller selling space for toys do this quite often. You see it a lot in July/August/September when the smaller stores clear out stuff to bring in higher margin or better selling items for Christmas. I've been watching the pocket knives, and the kid tents which are all part of that section. They usually do sporting goods Fridays and I think next week they'll do a big mark down. It is usually 1-2 weeks after the big toy clearance. It is definitely worth checking. Also, be sure to check carts that are full of go-backs. If you see items that you have seen listed here, you might get a good deal. People return stuff. People abandon purchases all over the store. And they find more in the back or other customers stashes that they haven't come back for yet. Like everyone else here, I buy for a variety of things all already mentioned. But I know a couple of guys here locally that will buy 2-3 carts full to donate to charity. One guy buys stuff here and takes it back to a poor area of Montana where he used to live. They don't have good access to stores because it is so rural, and there are several poor families. We see each other a lot, and I share some of the good deals from here I think he'll be interested in.
  24. Buy those extra strong sticky notes and label them!
