  1. Do please post when you get a chance.
  2. They've been doing it for Halloween the last couple of years, so maybe they are doing it with Christmas now. I bet they make more overall by doing it rather than keeping it full price and then taking it all the way down after Christmas. Or it could be a matter of wanting to turn the selling space over faster after the holiday. I noticed the electrical cords and stuff at our store being 30% off a week or so ago. I was hoping that didn't mean they wouldn't run it with regular Christmas clearance. All my extension cords are green because I always buy those.
  3. Yes, for their own ad within at least 7 days, I think. I've done it before.
  4. I don't think so. I think they are those little hard plush ones.
  5. Yes, it always starts about 2 weeks before Christmas to get things moving that are just sitting.
  6. I kind of figure these will go the way of beanie babies in a few months. It never ceases to amaze me what people will do to get the "hot" toy. If it is that insane to get, we just tell our kids no. Or we tell them that we'll wait till we can get it reasonably. It looks like ebay is flooded with them already. They are selling for about $190 + S/H.
  7. The TRU ones also come with bonus pets only available with the games. They had them here, and all the stores get a truck during the week, so good to call.
  8. They do salvage at some stores while taking them all the way to 75% at others, so you are right. INF means it was salvaged at your store. Bummer! They might have sold or salvaged the last batch at our store, but I noticed yet another Tom Tom model was on clearance. Not to 75% yet, so keep looking.
  9. OT, but FYI the Scribblenauts game is $19.99 at Target this week, and part of the 2 for $40 at TRU if you are looking at any brick & mortar stores.
  10. The markdown team was off their regular work all last week prepping for BF. They were back to the regular department markdowns this morning, so we'll see a bit more I would think. They always mark down a few toys in the last 2 weeks before Christmas. I would not be surprised if the Tom Tom didn't go, though, as GPS is still a hot seller this Christmas. Saw they'd markd down several Xbox, Playstation and PSP games today. All stuff that was already clearance, just marked from 30-50%. We don't have those game platforms though...
  11. I ran across a couple of Targets here that had them when I went out on Friday (we've got 10 Target stores in easy driving distance of us), but the only thing they had stocked up there was games, and no where near the volume usual. There may be some areas where they have a lot left in January, but I'll be surprised if they do.
  12. Ahh...but no free 400 with it...
  13. That is the issue. If it is light colored, no. If it is dark, like ours, it thinks it is going over a cliff (cliff sensors), so we have the sensors covered with white paper. You have to tape it on. Problem is that it gets dirt under it and it has to be changed every few weeks. Still, we love it, even with that foible. It works great. We have cats, so it is a never ending problem. Works like a charm and DH handles the details with the cliff sensors.
  14. We have the 530 and it comes with a charger. It sits on the base and you schedule it to clean. You will need to buy more Light houses to get it to work within a defined area, but it is pretty cool. It is a pain if you have stairs or dark carpet. DH has read all the forums out there to figure out all the quirks, but we love it. We have hardwood floors throughout the house and it keeps everything clean. It cleans the living room/dining room areas daily. Then we move it to particular rooms as often as needed. We've had it for about 9 months and would not trade it for anything (unless it was a new and improved model).
  15. Just glad to have you back.
  16. Where you been??!?? We were worried when you disappeared!
  17. It was in the mid-80s. I remember it with my nephews
  18. I don't think that is the case. I think they have been holding them back since they became so hot so that they can dole them out like this. If they were going to become less scarce soon, I think other stores would have them as well. Instead, they sell out as quickly as they arrive. By doling them out to the first 100 in line or so each time they still sell out instantly, but they get more people in the store.
  19. No, it is somewhat random. I've tried to get on the list, but they say they don't have one. I have the cc and don't get it.
  20. I always ask for an American when I get someone international. And when they ask me why, I tell them that I am offended that good American jobs are being sent offshore. I almost wonder if it is somehow linked to my phone number now, because I always seem to get an American automatically now.
  21. Just a depressing note on the upcoming January toy clearance. Has anyone noticed that Target has not back-stocked enough to need to use the risers in the stores? Usually they add a shelf above the regular toy shelves and stack them high and deep with extra stock. No risers this year. At least not in any of our stores. They put them in for a week or so, but they were told to pull them as they would not need them....
  22. I have the 800 number in my cell phone, and would advise it. They should work Friday, and they will call the store management.
  23. It is always a YMMV with Walmart. They do clearance independently of one another.
  24. They tried to pull something similar on me with the price adjust of the Nerf gun they had on sale a week ago. They wouldn't adjust the price to their own current sale price. I had bought it for $29.99 with a $5 toy book coupon so got it for $24.99. They then marked it down to $26.99 on sale, and wouldn't adjust their price because of the coupon. So I re-bought it with another coupon and got it for $21.99, then returned it on the previous receipt. Don't care if it is double dipping. They offer both the price match and the coupon, there is no reason that I shouldn't get to take advantage of both unless they specifically spell out that they won't. And I'm sure that's why they are doing just that.
  25. Actually, I am pretty sure the late Friday & early Saturday sections of the ad actually says Doorbusters. Mine is in the car, but I think the regular 2 day parts they will still match.
