  1. July/August. They clearance items throughout the year, not just in January and the summer. There is just a lot more during the big sales.
  2. African American Baby Alive Sweet as Me doll is accidentally marked $4.24 on the shelf tag. Should probably be $16.99. Saw them this morning. Could be other Sweet as Me ones as well, but I saw the African American ones.
  3. Back on the food clearance....Just an FYI, the clearance Market Pantry brownie mix says "dark chocolate" on it, but it tastes like any other standard brownie. Not really dark. I have a dark chocolate hating 9 year old and he just gave me a hug and told me thank you for making them. They actually had better flavor than some others I've had. So...when they go cheaper (we only got one today because the kids were shopping with me)...I'll get more.
  4. ###Imaginext Dragon Launchers & Imaginext Alien Gift Sets were 75% off - $4.98 today. Tiana did not go down, nor did the Zippity software or the GI Joe figures. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51uZ4e0acNL._SS500_.jpghttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/519mRNAB9kL._SS500_.jpg
  5. Just an FYI, food clearance is sometimes local to a store or area. It depends on what is popular at a particular store and often expiration dates. Sometimes things like the teriyaki beef jerky or the odd flavors of granola bars (I believe they are apple spice this time) are just discontinued chain-wide, but other stuff, like cake mixes may just be related to dates. Around here the selection is highly variable, too, with some stores having lots of Latino items (love that Mexican Coke!!) and others having lots of Asian items. So YMMV. We have a lot of wine and some beer clearance right now. For those whose stores sell beer & wine...Cant stand Budweiser, but for those who like it, the 20 packs were marked down. I am watching it to use in my garden. Makes awesome slug bait! The other beer I noticed was Becks Dark.
  6. You can use them together anywhere. You can pretty much always stack store coupons with manufacturer's coupons unless there is some exclusion.
  7. Didn't pay much attention to the bulk stuff in the first place, but saw the olay sets in the regular aisle on an endcap clearanced.
  8. It most likely went back to the regular department aisles. The area has been reset with summer seasonal merchandise like years past.
  9. As mentioned earlier, for some items, they are better off doing this. Because stores are ordering less merchandise across the board, there is a lot less salvage for stores like Marshalls, Ross, Big Lots, etc. So those stores, and the salvage companies that sell to them are willing to pay more for items than in the past. Stores have to consider the shelf space as well as the man hours necessary to do additional mark downs, so it sometimes is a better deal to salvage them.
  10. It varies by store. They are more likely to do it for you if they know and like you. Some stores will only do it within 1 day. Others as long as a week. They don't have a hard and fast rule about it. it is generally up to the store director what the policy is. Give it a go.
  11. Yup. Here too. They are reading the boards again....
  12. They are not the same. The new clearance stickers are only about an inch or 1.25" long. The longer ones for repackages and internet returns are about 2-2.5" long. When you see them side by side, they are not even close to the same.
  13. How large is the red tag on it? Is it a standard clearance tag, or is it one of the longer ones?
  14. I was curious about the jungle, so I looked it up on their site. Here is a photo if anyone is looking: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51bjU40Z3XL._AA260_.jpg
  15. Our Bakugan tins have been $17.48 for weeks, so if you want it, you might want to get it at 50%. Most stores here had Toy Story stuff 75% off today, except the dancing one, but it was marked later in the cycle. No Thomas stuff marked at any store I went to today. Had a fairly disappointing trip around to several stores. Did get some good news, though. One of my local stores is getting a major remodel in July, including the moving around of departments. That means toys there will clearance well before the other stores, and more will go down than other store so they don't have to move it. Plus lots of other departments will get good markdowns. HBA is moving floors, from downstairs to upstairs, so there should be some good deals there! Yippee!
  16. Our stores have the Fender acoustic guitars on sale, but I haven't seen the electric ones.
  17. Wow! I missed the news! I don't go to this store, but it isn't that far away!
  18. I had asked about people seeing cameras still on clearance. Well, I stopped back by one of the stores that had done the electronics remodel where the cameras had disappeared, and they were back on the shelf at 60% off $35. They are a purple Polaroid brand 10MP. I got 4 of them. 1 for DS for Christmas, and 3 for a friend's daughters. So, they may show up again!
  19. The ones Target sells are the ones that are only okay quality. What you buy depends on how you use the knives. If you cook a LOT, then you will care a lot more. These will last for a while, but they are not the same quality of steel or handle design as the higher end ones (which has to do with balance, comfort and how long they hold together). The ones at Target are stamped, the others are forged. Here is an article to read before you make a choice of knife set: http://pro-cutlery.com/Forged-Knives-or-Stamped-Knives.html
  20. They didn't here. Some of our stores still have them full price.
  21. I'd like to know also. Didn't see any Thomas stuff marked down at the 4 stores I hit today. No further reductions on Toy Story, either.
  22. anyone see the toys marked down yet? They have not done either of my 2 closest stores. They were out of sync with the usual schedule this week, so it might happen tomorrow. I noticed they marked electronics on Tuesday here. Craziness!
  23. It would be a surprise if you could not get a Buzz. They packed 5 of Buzz per case of 6 toys, so they were plentiful. Most of our stores have sold down to almost nothing of the Toy Story stuff. I had wanted a couple of the rocket sets, but they are sold out at all 8 stores close by. They mostly have the tiny toys and the wings and gauntlet type things left here. The new ones are due out May 1, so perhaps this will be the week to get rid of everything they have left.
  24. I'll have to ask the markdown team if they were salvaged. Several of our stores have been getting the video games remodel, and I was hoping they were just stuck in the back as part of moving everything around.
