  1. I'd say you were lucky then. I've tried a number of times, and they enforce the policy automatically. On the other hand, you didn't say whether you bought it at a discount or not. If your discounted price was the last selling price, that might account for it.
  2. THis went 75% this week here. You might want to double check, just in case.
  3. You can return it, but the corporate policy is to give you only what the current selling price is. Here is a link. Scroll down to almost the bottom to see this: http://www.target.com/Returning-Purchase-Store/b?ie=UTF8&node=10665391 That said, some local jurisdictions and states have laws that prohibit this and require the store to give back what you paid, period. So, it depends on your location. Here in CA, you get only the current selling price. I believe some folks in NJ & MO have reported they can get full price.
  4. The little white bunnies & sheep in the pink & blue Easter themed gft bag. It MUST be in the bag, or it rings up regular. I scoured stores looking for loose bags and then went to get the toys from the regular aisle. They are only the Lil Kinz. They have to scan the bag to get the price correct.
  5. Were your LPS FunBoxes marked down? Ours weren't.
  6. Picked up a few more items I only wanted at 75% today. Thanks for the heads up on the bubbles! Found them in the toys with the Ni Hao Kai Lan ones and told a few other mothers & grandmothers that were around. They had a ton at that store. Also sidewalk chalk (be sure the check the regular aisle for crafts for that) and a couple of the small card decks. Some Club Penguin and Webkinz. All in all a worthwhile trip. None of our stores has much of any candy left. Glad I bought DSs Hersheys Bunny 10 packs at 50%. Was able to use another 10% with my Target check card so saved even more. :)
  7. There used to be a fairly reliable site to use it with. I haven't had any success with it for some time. You can take the number to guest services and have them check neighboring stores. The info is still somewhat unreliable as they only update every 48 hours, though. You can also enter it on the scanners if there is a number pad on the right side.
  8. The tag change is discussed in last quarter's discussion. It is just a change over. When they reduce to 50 & 75%, they'll still be these new tags. It seems to be an overall change in the tags they are using. They were just finishing up the old style red tags first. Our store did this last month.
  9. Not here, at least at the 2 stores I went to this morning. I scanned things to be sure.
  10. It is VERY hit or miss out there. I went to 8 stores, most where I had stashed stuff, and found only 2-3 stores had much at all. 2 stores had next to nothing. The others had a bit. Most of my stashes were still there, so I bought at 50% and am happy to get my goodies. Non-bagged candy seems to be 50%. Only bagged stuff is 30%.
  11. Still, their stated policy is pretty clear that they don't match B1G1, so I'd say you were just lucky at the store that did it for you.
  12. Nope, they sold it. Sad, sad, sad for me... My other store is a bit better, so I am dropping the kids at school a few minutes early tomorrow so I can high-tail it to the better store.
  13. So, no one replied. I just wanted to share why I was so depressed about Monday. I thought it was bad yesterday. I went back today, and this is what it looked like: http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/lsmythLPS/2010-04-03152630.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/lsmythLPS/2010-04-03152620.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/lsmythLPS/2010-04-03152605.jpg
  14. Are other people's stores pretty close to wiped out of Easter? Ours were okay still this morning, but by this afternoon it was looking pretty grim. I am hoping my stashes at various stores are still there. I know at least one was found. I re-hid stuff this afternoon, but only a bit was still there. Oh well, Monday will be interesting.
  15. Yes. But it probably goes back to the story I posted a week or so ago. These stores have all ordered much less merchandise overall, so they have a lot less clearance. If they have less that they have to move, they can afford to leave it at higher prices longer in hopes it sells. It seems to be working with some things, like toys. They had very little left by the time the GI Joe or Bakugan finally went 75%. So, I would not be surprised to see things sitting longer. It is creating a problem for discount stores that rely on department store salvage. There simply is not as much available, and there is more competition for what IS available. So, you may also start seeing higher prices and less turnover at stores like Big Lots, Ross, Family Dollar, etc.
  16. Makes me wonder if rondadeal's guy/gal was using an old manual. A few months ago I was at a store doing several returns, and someone else was doing a no receipt return. It ended up with a big discussion because the backup GS person didn't know the policy had changed, and it had happened months before that. So it could be that is the problem. Or just something weird.

  18. Can you post the DPCI? I am watching a few cameras. I need a backup for work, and a less expensive one for DS.
  19. Yup, those are the old ones. I don't like these new ones as well. They are bigger and easier to read when you are looking right at it, but they are harder to see from a distance.
  20. These are actually smaller than the ones that they used to use for items not found in the system. Those tags were about 2.5-3" long and they covered the UPC code with them. These are about 1.5" long and they are using them for all clearance. Some stores that still have the old smaller labels are still using them, but all the stores in our area are switching over to the red/white striped 1.5" tags and they go in the same place the old smaller all red tags are going. Here is what they look like: http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg158/lsmythLPS/P1150350.jpg
  21. Yup, they seem to be making a full change over.
  22. They changed the rules from 2 times per year to an annual limit of $70 or $75 (can't recall which it is) on your driver's license. I agree, it will be the lowest selling price in the last 30 days. I don't think they'll let you just give them the CC#, but they might. The credit will go to that card, though, not you. So, if your folks paid, they'll get the refund if you try that. Without the receipt, you'll just get a store gift card for the amount. If it isn't that much and they sell it at Walmart, you might consider going there instead if it is worth the hassle. They will also return for store credit, so it would depend on the value and price if it works better.
  23. managed to get 2 sewing machines. one for mom and one for a friend. no sign of the ladder, which I could use....
  24. I just heard this report on Marketplace on NPR. It explains in more detail why we are not seeing great clearance deals in most stores. It also explains why more is being salvaged at higher prices. It seems there is more competition for the big store cast offs, so it probably is better for Target financially. http://marketplace.publicradio.org/display/web/2010/03/24/pm-tj-maxx-update/
