  1. I-dogs & I-Turtles marked 75% off today. Bakugan stayed 50%. Same with what was left of GI Joe.
  2. I think they'll have it through this season, based on our conversation, but not next year or into the fall. Kinda bummed. Hard to get seeds started inside because of our lighting and outside because of watering restrictions. The farmer's market is pretty limited in Pasadena, and it is 20 miles of bad freeway traffic to either Lowes. Oh well, I'll be at OSH a bit more, I guess.
  3. Well, in addition to losing the plants, they'll be losing the lawn furniture. Don't know if they'll keep a small tool section or anything, but apparently it is going bye-bye. Can't say I am surprised their furniture doesn't sell better. It is overpriced in the first place.
  4. Of the Target stores I have been to, probably 80% or more have a garden center with plants. That is across multiple states from Delaware to California, so I don't think it is unusual. One of our stores closed their garden center a year or two ago because they couldn't compete locally. It seems silly that that would be the case nationwide, but maybe they feel it is. The local manager certainly doesn't. He said the department was up 20% over last year. Usually around here only the mall stores don't have garden centers.
  5. more video games 75% off. Seems like someone asked about the Batman game for the PC and it went today. Anyone in the SoCal area that wants that Garage Maid stuff, they had a set of stuff at the Duarte store 75% off. Probably a return as it looked like 1 each of 4-5 pieces.
  6. Well, I got some bad news at Target today. Apparently they are planning to do away with the garden center and will no longer carry patio furniture chain-wide. Apparently they will wait till after the current season, but they want to focus more on Market (grocery) and will get rid of it. Don't know if that also means no more pumpkins for Halloween or trees at Christmas, but it would not be surprising it it did. I was talking to the guy in guest services & the department manager. They'll be converting the space to storage at most stores. They said no one bought the patio furniture till it went clearance (I said that was because it was too high to start and they agreed). I am surprised about the plants, though, we only have 1 other store in town (a hardware chain) that carries reasonably priced plants (we have some pricey nurseries), and it is a drive to get to Home Depot (Lowes is even farther) and Walmart is pretty lousy on plants here. So, very disappointing to me as a gardener.
  7. Can't find this at Target here. Do you have the DPCI off your receipt?
  8. I know what you mean! I've been watching one of the long extension cords, and they just aren't moving. I hope they don't just salvage them.
  9. Sorry you didn't get the toy, but by 3:30 in the afternoon after they mark toys 75% there is usually very little left, resellers or no. And, I don't begrudge people who resell since they have to feed their families too. I know several people who have done that to get through periods of unemployment these days. Especially here in CA where unemployment is so high (over 12%).
  10. I think they'll either do it or salvage it this week as they are setting the new Bakugan stuff in a big island display here. They took out part of an aisle & endcap and made this huge display.
  11. I've seen several PC games marked down as well. Can't give you titles, but they don't sell as fast.
  12. Don't like them because you only get a single use.
  13. They had a ton of them at the San Dimas & La Verne stores here in SoCal. Not sure where you are located, since you don't have that on your profile. Pretty sure they were 30% as of Monday, but that department gets marked today or tomorrow.
  14. Maybe he has a huge garage. But more likely swap meet.
  15. if anyone in SoCal is looking, they have about 100 or more copies of Gears of War 2 for Xbox at the Pasadena 2 story target for 75% off. I've never seen so many copies of a single game!
  16. Just get a rain check. Sometimes the manufacturer doesn't get them to them in time for advertised sales. The sales are prepared weeks or months in advance, and the manufacturer can run into problems. They generally get trucks daily, but they don't get every item on every truck, so they have a reasonable guess as to which day it will come.
  17. Isn't that funny? Around here it is the opposite. The grocery stores all have a 2 fer price that is usually the cheapest, but Target's single jug price is usually only $.05-$.10 higher and sometimes I don't want to go to the grocery store. But the drug stores are almost always higher except for sale prices.
  18. Yeah, I think that is a good price. It was that low for a few months last fall, but shot back up in January.
  19. 2 (growing) boys and a husband that drink milk 2-3 meals a day. I can only fit 2-3 gallons in at a time, and I am forever going back to the store for milk!!
  20. That sure would hurt! We go through 7 gallons a week!
  21. thanks! First store still had them regular price, but the second had them down without being marked. :-)
  22. Seriously?!?! Must be nice! Milk here is generally $2.49-$2.89 a gallon at almost all stores. And sometimes you have to buy 2 gallons to get the lower price.
  23. do you happen to have the dpci?
