We still have some family but no place good to meet so that's why we do Chinese... Hoping to have the apartment in shape to have my mom and youngest brother over after lunch to have dessert etc. Still have stuff in the old house that needs to come over. Might work on the house while I listen to the broadcast tonight... FInding places to store things in closets now.

Um, she might be in line today... she can give out candy to the kids while in line....LOL

Thank you for insulting all hardworking people that don't use credit cards but choose to pay over time to purchase things for their families. For many of us it has been a rough year with layoffs still, rising food prices and gas prices that are still higher than they need to be, many of us are on one income due to disability and other unexpected expenses that have depleted savings. I choose to use layaway to get my children each their one item for Christmas because I don't have to put it on a credit card and can still have it paid off by Christmas. Please explore this site more fully, you will see that we work to offer the best ideas for each person regardless of their income status. For some of us, layaway is a cost saving option!!

Don't let the sample lists scare you. I am always thrilled with what I get. And it seems that people have a way of reading between the lines on the list and finding something special. Some of us do all the shopping for the family so the SS gift might be the only surprise of the season.

If I go to a brick and mortar store this year it will be me and maybe my 2 sons.... Dh went once and was so intimidated by the women of ToysRUs that he won't go again, even if he were physically able.

THis is a favorite recipe of mine, I have cheated and made this using a good box mix and still comes out yummy! Peppermint Patty Brownies Servings: 12 Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups margarine 3 cups white sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 5 eggs 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 24 small peppermint patties Directions: 1. Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs till well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Blend well. 2.Reserve 2 cups of batter, set aside 3. Grease 13x9x2 inch pan. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan. Arrange peppermint patties in a single layer over batter about 1/2 inch apart. 4. Spread reserved 2 cups batter over patties. Bake 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50-55 minutes till brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Enjoy!!!

I'll try for an ad but I need a bigger hoodie than you have (shamefully) but if I get the ad, I'll let you design a travel coffee mug after the craziness is over.... Coffee stuff for me is always good, and it travels to meetings and around the campus at work... Great advertising. (Currently Starbucks and Avon are getting lots of free advertisement)

I would be willing to pay a decent amount for a hoodie as I seem to be getting cold easily these days... Of course I might have to take a second mortgage for the size I would need. But if you got a big enough size for me and put the logo on the back, I would truly be a walking billboard!!!

My own experiences with Gamestop have been good, but the employees at the one we have frequented since it was a Rhino are excellent. But I agree that EB Games was a slightly better company once they grew into the size. They had their own issues back in the 80s as a young company under the Electronics Boutique and Games n Gadgets monikers.....

I use more and more gift bags cuz I stink at wrapping.... In fact I'm thinking of using a gift bag as a stocking this year since I tend to go overboard on the stockings...

I have brothers that are younger than me and I think that it helps to maintain the excitement. Of course I remember my oldest brother and I cussing over several Christmas eves trying to assemble toys and bikes.... Mom and Dad were smart...

I had a customer send me a Juniors Cheesecake once, it was pretty awesome. Now though a lot of places do a good cheesecake so you may have a local bakery that can do a better priced one that tastes as good or better.
