  1. Those looking for the DSi should get there early. They are great sellers (#1 selling game machine, it outsells the 'big' machines) and go quickly.
  2. For people wanting a laptop, most stores are gearing toward people who want a CHEAP laptop. To make that happen, they come with basic features and 'single-cores'. This keeps the price down. It doesn't make the computers 'crap', they are designed for basic computing which doesn't require a heavy duty processor or RAM. Remember, a few years ago, all computers were still single-core. It is designed to allow people to get a low price alternative. It will be slower than most computers but once it is running, you can surf the net, edit some photos, or write a school paper. It is NOT for heavy gaming (yes, you can play Bejeweled ) or video editing. So if you want a cheap laptop, and can't afford a $500 one and you only want to surf or write papers, then buy it. People like me.... buy the $500+ models, since we are gamers, lol. BTW, I bought my DS a $300 laptop a few years ago, it it works perfectly and meets his needs. He plays his games on his desktop(which screams:D).
  3. Also remember for the Xbox, there is NO hard drive. The (some)current Arcade model has a 512MB storage card (up from 256, this was late summer change). You can save games on it, but cannot download demos or buy movies. Also according to the Xbox website, there is no mention of Netflix on the Arcade model (it is listed on the Elite model). So if you are thinking of streaming Netflix, read the box to make sure.
  4. Downloading as we speak (or type). Stupid DSL.......
  5. It pays to have patience !
  6. Yeah, we will have to wait until everyone (Brad ) wakes up to fix it. Thanks for working late to get the list posted.
  7. Keep typing Brad, based on the 1,000's listed in the ad (assuming its only 1,000) you only have about 935 more items to go, lol.
  8. I hate reading. I like to see it visually, I'll wait for the scans , lol. Thanks nmcnary17 and Brad.
  9. I bought an eMachine laptop back in 2000 and it lasted for years. I loved that machine and it still worked when I gave it away. No problems. It is probably like everyone else; quality control issues. You just don't know what you will get.

    Arrival Time

Pretty much guarantee it will be 'HOT:jump3:'. It seems most electronics, especially under $300-$400 are hot, netbooks, notebooks, desktops, small HDTVs, game consoles, cameras and camcorders. Most people are looking for a good deal and the bigger the discount, the hotter the item. I've noticed the cheaper ones will sell out first , then the second cheapest and so on and so on.....
  11. That will be a lot of typing, lol.
  12. Here is my take. Yes, you can do what you want with the tickets. But for the people that buy them I ask, why? You are cutting into the price of the item you want. Yeah, you are paying for someone standing in line for you, but why let them profit. That's got to be something, to have the idea to sell 'worthless' tickets for money. Yeah, again, you are standing in line, but you are just doing it to make a buck. Yeah, you have a job, so why do you have to make a buck? I just can't fathom why you feel the need to make money on it. The same goes for those people whose only purpose is to resell the item and make a buck. There is no intent to keep the item, just to benefit from people others who didn't get in line sooner. The same goes for the people who resell game consoles and such when they are 'hot' and the picture online shows a stack of 20 with the price jacked up an extra $100. What a joke, you are not a store or have a license to sell those items like the stores do. Again, just to profit off of people who can't find one in the store(mainly because someone bought them all up to resell for profit). I just can't figure it out. Heck, I've given tickets away to people after I realized I didn't need or could afford something. Again, you can do what you want and people can buy from you, but it just seems like its for the wrong reasons (making a quick buck). BTW, I'd hate to be the 21st guy only to find out I would of had the item, but someone decided it was more important for them to make a buck reselling the ticket. Yeah, I'd have to 'deal with it' (the old selfish attitude), only so someone could profit from others, not because they really wanted or needed the item.

    DVD Seasons

I've had to point out 'how stupid' (not in those words) they were trying to make that argument. I won . It can be done and you can always go over the cashier's head.
  14. I use my check card (which says debit on it, but push 'credit' button . What kind of card is it? I don't know, lol) and swipe all day. I just go home a download the data from my bank to see what I spent, lol.
  15. I have noticed it to be mainly men who jump the line , though I have seen a woman and her daughter try it .
  16. One thing to keep in mind; your items can be cancelled too. I had at least 5 items cancelled from buying on BF; hours later and even a week later. Hence my signature.

    Best Blu-ray deal for BF?

Well, you could pick up some BD movies while your there, lol. Seriously though, it isn't a doobuster, so that may be possible. If not, I'd imagine that they will have stacks of these, so you might be able to get there after the line goes down.
  18. That means one more person will be able to grab something at the store you usually camp at. When they get that LAST ticket, they can say a thankful prayer that BigJimSlade was not there , lol.

    Best Blu-ray deal for BF?

Newegg had a BD reader for $99 last week, but I've seen them cheaper. I saw a Sony reader for $80 recently. Burners are $150+ still .
  20. A classic! I have it on Blu-ray though , lol.
  21. The question I have is, what is going through their mind (apparently not much)? Are they that selfish? Why do they think they shouldn't stand in line? I can't fathom the idea.
  22. There are too many variables to answer that question. If you pay an outrageous price for overnight shipping, then I'd say you could get it by Dec 5th. If you use standard shipping, it might take a little longer. It depends on when a warehouse ships, what method, and how far away you live. So there is no 'correct' answer .
  23. I bought a 27 inch around that same time frame and it is still going strong. My PC looks great on it as well as my Xbox and PS3/Blu-rays. No problems with mine. I'm a happy customer .
  24. Remember, BB had some deals last year that were not in the ad. They added them the night before if I remember correctly. BB could throw in a sub-$300 TV using their Insignia brand. Something to watch for. I also believe Walmart might do the same thing, they are notorious for undercutting everyone. I think they'd undercut God if they could . Amazon could get a $299 one also, but I don't know if they would go lower. We will see.
  25. Cyber Monday just seems to be a name anymore. Sure there is a sale, but nothing special. Newegg.com might give you some good deals, but I don't think you'll see much from BestBuy.
