Yeah, I got ahead of myself. I used the Walmart one as an example, but will probably buy a better one on sale next week.

I'm thinking about getting my in-laws a cheap one from Wal-mart that way when we buy a blu-ray, they borrow it and can enjoy too (even though they don't have an HDTV;yet). For now it works ok with some movies because they come with a standard dvd, but it would be nice for the ones that don't .

Don't try to buy it online. I have tried to buy two laptops in the last three years and both times after checking out and getting a confirmation: my orders got cancelled:mad:. No explaination. Just cancelled. I don't know if I'd try it again. That's just one of the many reasons why my signature reads 'Don't get cancelled'. (BTW, it's not a money issue either; I've always got money to cover what I try to purchase )

We went last yr, 2009, to Toys R Us in VA and it was just like you said... to add, my poor, inexperienced brother-in-law ventured out with us. He was so overwhelmed with the rudeness of fellow shoppers and an unorganized store. I don't think he will BF shop this year .

Talking about online shopping. My biggest problem is getting my orders cancelled. I have money in the bank so that is not the issue, but every year w/o fail, something gets cancelled. I've had a laptop cancelled the last two years from NEX; I've had two laptops cancelled from BestBuy in the last few years and numerous other things from different retailers including Radio Shack and ToysRus. All of these after I have checked out and received my confirmation. To prove a point, I just had an order on Amazon cancelled yesterday. That is the downfall with shopping online. At a B&M store, they don't chase you down in the parking lot and take the product away from you like they do online . If you don't believe me, just read my signature (it has read' Don't get cancelled' for a few years). Both ways of shopping have their PROS and CONS.

I did it with the 32in Westinghouse TV last year at Target. I thought that was a DoorBuster? I can't remember.

The video game deal (buy 1 get 1 for $5) is great, considering those are some new games. Plus the $50 GC for the 8gb iTouch. Overall though, didn't see anything mind blowing.

Yeah, but that was before the new price increase. You can probably pick it up on Ebay this year for $39.99 or so. Buy it cheap when you can. This one at Buy.com is a pretty good deal and I doubt you'll see it much cheaper.

Yeah, I did this last year with a TV also. I bought it on Wednesday night and PMed it on Friday. At first, the people told us 'no'. Our next attempt at another Target, they said 'No problem'. It turned out great. My only concern at first was that I got what they said was the 'last one' and I was afraid maybe it had a different SKU. But no worries...it all worked great. My only fear now is that in the next year or two, Target is going to catch on and stop PM on previous purchases for the BF sales.

Though not very useful, I do enjoy looking over them. Sometimes I like to look at them and see what I got last year. I save copies of the ones that are posted here, so I have most of the ads I like from the past 5 or 6 years.

Some stores will not allow you to put it in your shopping cart ahead of time. Some make special numbers for items so they are not the same as what is currently on their sites.

I didn't really find anything worthwhile either. Everythng I saw was still available and it's the end of the day. If it had been a good sale, you'd seen items that were sold out .

Best Buy has the original for $149 and Amazon has it for $159.

I think Nintendo is getting rid of the 'old' ones because the 'new' ones have the new motion plus controller and Wii Resort Sports packaged inside them. You can buy Resort Sports later, but you HAVE to get the new motion plus controller to play it. You could buy this and the motion plus controller pack w/Resort Sports for $50 and you end up with a extra controller; basically an old controller and a new controller. If you buy the $200 box you only get one new controller.

I have never ordered from them so I asked my brother. He says they are pretty good. I don't think I would have at their regular prices, those are kind of insane. For $60, I figured I'd try it. Ordered today, ships on the 18th for delivery on the 20th.
