  1. I don't think they package ANYTHING automatically anymore except for maybe the brackets for over the range ovens. You should be able to find the info needed on the sears site, they're usually pretty good about "recommending" extras but the length needed will depend on location so you'll have to measure that out or just measure the one you currently have (I'm not sure if it'll be printed with size on it anywhere) but you probably don't have access to that.
  2. If it's the 3 story one, my bff's daughter has it since last christmas and it's fine so far. I think the elevator tends to come off track but nothing is broken yet. She has a soon to be 2yo brother who we have to hide small pieces from but he's rough with it and it's still fine. It comes with miniature pieces like cutlery for table that we've had to teach her to put into a shoe box and place on table or in closet to keep away from her brother and the dogs. That house was a mission, paternal grandma bought at Toysrus then found cheaper in Target ad so returned to Toysrus before buying at Target then nobody could find until I pointed bff to Amazon where she said it was cheaper too:) It was the top thing on her Xmas list so a must have.
  3. LOL...yes, make sure you get the right ones(different diameters I believe) and the right length depending on location.
  4. I believe someone wanted the washer/dryer set from Sears last year and they were able to get it on Wed or Thurs without the hassle of waiting. HomeDepot had good deals on appliances last BF. If you're getting warranties they're probably cheaper from SquareTrade and they guarantee service within 5 days of call. We had a microwave die from HD within so many days(60-90) and HD refused to service it/exchange it because it was now up to the manufacturer, needless to say it took weeks to get these ppl to contact us back and after several faulty repairs we got a full refund after I put up a fuss. On the other hand my Tivo HDMI died and ST offered me the cost of getting it replaced through Tivo immediately or refund of full price(no fix available) and I received my check(they could have put through paypal too but I declined) within 2 weeks of providing receipt for RMA.
  5. I must be nuts....I must have gotten my 1st pc(that I spec'd/bought w/my own $) around that time and don't remember paying anywhere near that much but it was from RadioShack
  6. Does anyone else have people they wouldn't normally get gifts for but you end up having to get something for because you "have" to or am I being silly? It doesn't feel right to be at a get together with everyone opening gifts and have odd people out. If so, what do you get them? I find it gets harder every year because you don't want to get them junk but at the same time it can't be overly expensive because that would feel like you were expecting something big in return or whatever. (I know for a fact the ppl we do this for on a yearly basis couldn't/wouldn't find a deal if it socked them in the face.) Also, a big thank you to everyone who posts deals as a lot of these EXTRA gifts come from deals I find here :)
  7. I always find it kind of sad how Halloween is huge and Christmas is huge but Thanksgiving is next to nothing, half an aisle at most.
  8. max of 500 seems right.....if someone does win that that would be a nice chunk if not ALL of their christmas shopping done:)
  9. Congratulations noehlp, Stowasser, bluesky225, Rockfordmom!!!! This is just a bonus for being part of such a wonderful site :) I'm so stoked I will have money for BF shopping on Amazon :)
  10. I have no idea what their called, I believe it's gourmet stuff but they have cakes and pies and crab stuff and all sorts of things in 2-3 easy installments of over $20 which we think is ridiculous. Part of me really wonders if it's worth the splurge and part of me figures it's a huge waste either way but we'll never spend the money on it.
  11. QVC has all sorts of stuff from decorations to lighted decorations to gift ideas and toys for kids to electronics and gourmet food which costs silly amounts. We kind of watch it to get interesting ideas and mock it. I just don't get how a $40+ cheesecake can be better than my moms and wouldn't spend the money to find out It'd be cool if they had samplings like at bj's or somewhere to see if it's really worth what they charge.
  12. I wouldn't put too much stock in Amazon Mom/Prime as UPS can fail, one year I had to give a gift recipient a card with a picture of what they would get since package got lost in the mail. Of course had it been a kid that would have been totally unacceptable, but I think my order was placed weekend before Christmas too as I'd forgotten about the person so fail on my part mostly
  13. I love watching it but their ridiculous pricing is OTT. Me and my mom always love the food shows it's only 40+ for anything
  14. I may have to research these..my parents need a new camera since there's always takes blurry pics (probably the reason brother handed it off to them).
  15. Target has a back wall set up with outdoor decorations...facing an aisle with outdoor stuff (seats, turf builder etc) and the halloween stuff a few aisles away. It's kinda interesting to see angels and costumes together.
  16. LOL....I think many folks walk right pass that stuff at garage sales/thrift shops on a daily basis:) I remember back in the mid 90's you could get to store 20minutes before opening with little to no hassle/competition(around here at least).
  17. ditto...except I'm leaving the ustream window open:P Otherwise I would forget.
  18. Our Target also had the back side wall with Christmas outdoor stuff, the stuff you described big lighted reindeer, angels and other stuff. I think it was mostly elegant white if that matters at all, it was just a row of maybe 5-10 things.
  19. I think that's a good idea. My parents never got anything off my lists and I still remember that. I don't remember disliking what I got and all my toys were well used by the time I was done with them but it's just something I remember.
  20. Thanks for posting, I overlooked the sweepstakes. It's a daily and per person in case anyone wants to keep entering for chances until Nov5 for more chances:)
  21. Thanks, Will have to try this.
  22. None of them seem particularly fun except maybe Elmo.
  23. Thundercat toys are back?! May have to but a few for godson his father was obsessed.
  24. I found paul frank twin sheet set for $5.48 the matching comforter for $8.xx and a boys space/rocket full set for 14.xx. along with a few kids throws for 3.24 and 4.xx. 1st store I went to had lots of sofa/slipcovers at 75% but they're still in the car so I can show/test them w/mother tomorrow and decide which to keep. Fridges were marked at 44.50 but I didn't verify. Snyder's scanned at shelf price of 3.99 at 1st store and forgot to check at 2nd so whoever posted maybe got lucky :) Anyone notice star wars sheets in the kids dept? I found comforter but not sheets so left it
  25. not sure but its 10.99 on amazon with free shipping I always check multiple sites to verify MSRP
