This is how I got a nice haul on Halloween. It was signed 50% but went to 90%. My local store doesn't use the 75% signs since it's only 70% off(it's been a while you'd think they'd print some 70% ones) and ppl were just walking by clueless

I have occasionally been able to return stuff bought more expensive and had mom behind me say she wanted it and they let her purchase at Target but not all CS reps allow that.

Kinda sad everyone in fl is reporting still 50:( Holiday stuff always drops at start of day right? no scanning required?

When I was in yesterday an employee said by Friday, it's still 50% today. I hid a nice topper I found today

I just hope they don't close my aunts. It's not great that they overwork her on holidays then give her the bare minimum hours every other day of the year OR that they try to guilt her into working whole day shifts by "claiming" they'll keep it in mind when doing schedules later on in the year. I was born in the country, speak English natively/fluently, went to a good HS, have a bachelors degree and computer skills and have been unemployed for over 8 months what hope does that leave for her All that aside I hate shopping at Kmart. If the item is on sale it's either out of stock or hidden somewhere you'll never find it in the store. If it's not on sale I'd say 90% of the time there's no price tag and walking around the store to find the 1 price scanner is not something I do there knowing there's barely a chance it's a decent price. The last time I remember buying IN Sears was years ago. I ordered some shoes online on Christmas Day and some tools here and there for instore pickup but even then the Craftsman brand is not what it used to be.

We thought it was a better deal to buy the meat/cheese separately.

oops....those coupons were meant to be used when you buy a pack of plates AND a pack of napkins, I was only able to buy 1 set. We got a few dixie napkins, a pack of solo cups and some chinet colored ones for egg nog next year. We had drinking cups to match plates for years to come but no extra ones. I managed to find some ziploc bags and containers, plus press and seal rolls and the BEST buy of all were some cookies. I think the brand is amway, there were lots of different styles (cashew truffle(maybe), wedding cookies, iced gingerbread men, gingerbread cookies and another pack of red and green sugar decorated ones all were 8oz trays except plain gingerbreads were 12oz bags.) all ringing up 1.49 (50% off-2.99) ALL with $1 coupons so those were .49 after coupon. I found some dog biscuit plastic containers for 2.49 good until 2013 so I bought one pending 75%-90% for the large dogs in the family. We have shirts and toys for little dogs but nothing for big ones

I already contacted amazon for return label but my mother wants to return it to my brother and let him do it and replace her gift (or see if he does)

I don't think there would be any issue if you explain and do an even exchange but I think especially around this time of year you never know what to expect from CS. I'd try the store 1st only because it will probably be quicker than manufacturer but keep all details and notify them regardless of how store handles it.

I saw freesia's post before going to bed and was more or less convinced but this last one sure looks like its sealed. Now to contact Amazon about returning. Maybe if we do it ourselves we'll get the credit rather than them just keeping the money and not replacing which is something else she was semi worried about.

OK folks. So my brother joined me in idea for camera for mom and bought her a sony cybershot dsc-w570. the site mentioned before seems to think the sony is better but my heart says the panasonic and that one is already in use. Please point me one way or the other. It would be nice to get my money back even if I now have SD cards up the ying yang BUT I really want her to have the better camera. Panasonic Lumix DSC-FH25 or Sony Cybershot DSC-W570?

any idea what expiration dates they came with last year?

I got nice stuff from SS too and a set of jewelry I had ordered myself wrapped for me just this morning my mom. Not sure why she bothers:( It's a good thing Christmas is about giving for me else I'd be pretty bummed:P

A big thank you to my SS. As expected this was the only gift I did not buy myself and it was all spot on. My favorite candies are Peanut M&M's followed by Caramello's, not sure if that was included in my list. The mug is gorgeous and everyone had nothing but praise for it. The grinch stocking is beautiful and one I'd never seen before, I may have a large one in red/white somewhere. Ferrero Rocher's never go amiss and Bella loves her toy, she was even a little miffed when I took it away from her to take the pic. The vanilla stuff smells delightful, the nail file is much needed and the can cover is genius. He rushes to the grocery store to buy not 1 but 2 bottles of wine for the mailman when we had already given him baked goods the day before AND YET he has not a single thing for my mother (or myself). When I asked if both bottles were for the mail carrier he blows a gasket and screams at me that I'm a grinch. So my mother yells at him that it's ok to yell at her BUT not me. I later explained to him that if we're giving neighbors and other acquaintances a bottle of wine with baked goods it makes no sense to give a total stranger 2 bottles then I wrapped both bottles and gave them to him. He set them by the inside of the door and never bothered to wait for mailman. Later in the day he came to me asking if I had anything he could give my mom so I saddled him with the more expensive gift of the camera and wrapped it for him....we'll see if he pays me for it but she was going to have it anyhow so it's not like it matters.

I managed to wrap the last gift and not waking anyone. I guess they were too tired from the day since I made plenty of noice and even managed to change two light bulbs in the dark. What a time to go

My aunt has the misfortune of working there and she told us yesterday that they'll be open for 5 days straight!

not really. there's one of him flying over new york but it's fairly obvious it's on a string. I was kind of disappointed NORAD ones are cartoons
