It really helps when looking for stuff. I used to have to look through every box and it was a huge PITA.

Everything gets stored with like stuff, the only thing we make lists of are the toys and the miscellaneous holiday stuff. I start by listing everything in a notebook then transfer to excel and print out a list of what's in each box to tape to box or place inside clear storage boxes. On spreadsheet I list where box is kept along with a short description,quantity of each item and price paid. As things are given away I write changes on list on/in box and on the spreadsheet. For things like toys we'll list the ages for each toy. Clothes I keep in storage bins sorted by size and person. For example the boys(godson and nephew) have a few boxes with stuff sorted by size, with the smaller ones up top through the larger ones below, that way the sizes we need are handy instead of being overlooked.

Sears and Kmart both went 75% today. Kinda bummed the tree skirt me and mom's bff wanted from Sears was sold out but got a different all red one from Kmart. Managed to walk out of Kmart with only the 2 skirts, 2 packs of gold bows and 2 container of jungle bell ornaments:) We're set for the tree to be put up in either gold, red or silver next year. I think we may go red or silver since we're still missing a gold tree skirt/tree topper.

ziploc bags have snowflakes on packaging and snowmen on front, Vanity fair plates have 2-3 christmas ornaments on the front of clear wrap (same for napkins). some of the christmas blend starbucks(red bag with a snowman on it) is ringing up 70% off but not all, I'm guessing maybe store bags and bags at kiosk at front have different#'s and ppl have mixed them? and the pepperidge farm goldfish I saw on sale are in an 11oz box (only the regular ones) with a santa fish on front. I got a few winter (water)melon toothpaste yesterday too, I think it's red wrapping with snow coming down.

found 5 more goldfish boxes today. may head back tomorrow morning after Walmart.

speaking of which...i was able to get some physicians formula foundation powder and 3 in 1 compacts at 75% off last week. I love them and I rarely use makeup

If it was something I really wanted or needed at a great price I would have waited around but I'm usually not that patient. I've left whole shopping carts at Target for shorter lines. I agree my father would not be caught dead a)shopping for ornaments or standing in line for anything more than a few minutes. He usually wanders off and finds somewhere to sit. Maybe he was buying them for his wife who was unable to accompany him for whatever reason. I'd like to think my dad would do the same for my mom but I doubt it as well. We saw an older couple at Macy's marvelling over the few ornaments left. Our Dillard's was closed and the nearest one is now over half an hour away. I think mom's bff went but not til after 10am or so, not sure how it went.

I scored some goldfish today..I didn't even know what I was looking for but Santa fishy was staring me in the face I figured it was worth a scan. My stores also had pringles and ritz in holiday packaging but not ringing up as part of clearance. It made me laugh since they didn't clearance out some reese's peanut butter halloween no bake kits and those bats are still on store shelves now. On the other hand, I found lots of hickory farms sausages, a few cheeses, the knots berry jams, planters nut mixes and the archway cookies all 70% off. Then there was a holiday packaged pack of popcorn stuff that rang through at full price and got returned this morning. I only wanted the butter and seasoning thing not worth 12.99 I agree it's easier to scan everything and know where you stand when you get to checkouts. I did this and forgot anyways yesterday so had to go back and get a price adjustment on a pair of blackout liners. Guy at CS couldn't figure out how they'd been sold to me. He said he shouldn't be selling me them but did so anyways. They rung up for him 24.99 which is regular price but on my receipt yesterday they came up 22.49 and tag showed repackaging discount down to 17.99. I lucked out with CS guy today as he mentioned to lady ahead of me she could repurchase stuff cheaper if she wanted so I took advantage and did the same with a few things too.

1 of my targets had quite a few but others are wiped out. Sears has quite a few onsale online maybe in store pick up available in your area. Type "christmas tree" into search box

Store I went to today had pet stuff at 75% but other stuff at 50%. I only checked a few ornaments in regular section and didn't see any food though.

anyone know which dcpi matches which hickory farm sausage? Need to return some I bought at 50% but the dcpi isn't on roll and I have no idea

I'm hoping for 90 sunday...been out all day as was 70 since 8am opening. 1 store said warehouse still has stuff and will be bringing more in so will start there sunday morning:)

This is how I got a nice haul on Halloween. It was signed 50% but went to 90%. My local store doesn't use the 75% signs since it's only 70% off(it's been a while you'd think they'd print some 70% ones) and ppl were just walking by clueless

I have occasionally been able to return stuff bought more expensive and had mom behind me say she wanted it and they let her purchase at Target but not all CS reps allow that.

Kinda sad everyone in fl is reporting still 50:( Holiday stuff always drops at start of day right? no scanning required?
