  1. Take a look at store coupons, i.e.: when KMart did 20% off any item, folks used towards PS3; I had the cust mgr contact 05 stores with no luck. Explained to either CC or BB they matched. Been hiding in my shed for weeks!! Yes 60gb NOT the 40.
  2. Released as of now???. Tiger Direct emailed me this morning stating shipped today - but I pre bought.
  3. Yep, Va Beacher, go to Williamsburg. BUT, I've been talking to work buddies, they say most deals will be after holiday.
  4. Have DDR Hottest party for Wii-interactive with arms as well. DDR Super Nova I & Super Nova II for PS2. BOTH platforms are more than satisfactory, the DD playing 1hr nite, & when all girls are over, 2+hrs. 47" plasma 720p display with NO problems on either. Waiting on HDMI Switcher & cables to try improvements, but again, NO problems on either.
  5. Y'all need to go to redoctane.com, or activision to get the manufacturer gouge. My concern was is it 'backwards compatible. They have a FAQ, and a feedback message board. Worked wonders.....
  6. ditto ditto on monoprice. For any application, just type in the platform (wii, psp, ps3, etc...)
  7. Good! Hope something more realistic hits. My expectations have been let down so far this holiday season. Thank goodness we made the bulk of our purchases back in Oct-Nov.
  8. Depends on what chores you have (he has). My priorities are force and time saved. Keep in mind gas operated is actually a gas/oil mix for 2 cycle engines (all of them are till you get to the monster sizes). So you may want to pick him up a small 1 gallon plastic gas can (with gas) and some extra fuel/oil mix. Just don't leave them under the tree!!! Hand held Models. Gas or Electric. Work well for tight corners around buildings, but very little "force" rated in feet per minute or miles per hour. Sears, Ace, HD, Lowes, WM. expect <$100 Backpack models. Gain tremendous force, these are the landscapers dream. No electric, Still two cycle engine so remember the gas/oil suggestion. Majority prefer this, does allot of leaves/debris in little time. Sears, HD, Lowes. Reccomenda Stihl (mod BP400 or BP420) or Husquavarna. Expect <$300. Wheeled models. Either 3 or 4 wheeled, same force, but can do larger areas. (keep in mind the leaves are evenly covering a yard, but once 'push 5-8 feet into a pile, can become very deep and take more time to move around. Giant Vac (I have), Billy Goat, Little Wonder. Lowes/HD have a small version (6hp) <400. Ace and Small engine hardware stores have the larger ones 10hp <600 but you reaalllly have to search around. Pull start is the majority, these can be heavy and slightly less manageable (80-125 lbs), but keep in mind his strength and age- imagine pull starting a 10hp = pull starting a riding lawn mower engine = can be pretty hard. Recc Giant Vac 10hp or a Billy Goat if you go this large. Takes straight gas vs gas oil mix of the backpack blowers. Pull/Tow Behind a lawn tractor Vac. Sucks & Shreds, has an engine usually smaller than the push/wheeled type, and shreds the material. Lowes. Sears. <800. Takes straight gas. Recc Agri-Fab (NOT the aftermarket hecho in China that are flooding the market). Ok that said, I have beautiful trees I enjoy three seasons out of the year. Have two small electric Sears $29 and a jumbo Wheeled Blower (Giant Vac) which requires allot of strength to start. Am looking next at a tow behind vac. Soooooo many leaves, that up till 5 years ago I'd strap TWO stihl backpack blowers, one on each shoulder and blow leaves, but the wheeled Giant Vac does the job smoother.
  9. Harbor Freight will have an 8K for $350 with mounting plate being another $49 - pretty awesome.
  10. Tell you what though, 'Comp carried allot of peculiar items that CC/BB didn't carry on their shelves. Several times did the 30mi drive to get exactly what I needed.
  11. I agree, but only that the majority of deals were two weeks prior to and the weekend of thanxgiving. Since then, things have petered out.
  12. Regardless of who you end up going with, the capacity or length of use-time is rated in _____NIMH. For example, 4 rechargeable 900 nimh may cost $8, while 2200 nimh is $10. Price disparity is because of the manufacturer, think of how long you'd want your solar lights to stay lit at night in your driveway, 900nimh 3hrs, 22-2600 nimh, probably all night.
  13. "We're sorry, this item is no longer available". Is what showed for all. Also $7 each.
  14. Used the 'heck out of the $10/$29 that expired on 28Nov. Sigh, gonna have to wait 'till after this coupon expires to see if they've got something better to offer after 11Dec.
  15. Ha, ha, ha!!! That's a-ok. Thanx for the post. If anything, got us off our butts to ensure purchase on-line from sharper image before delivery dates ran out. Heck I might drive the 30mi to the closest store today. Thanks again.
  16. Yep it's in store only. I put two in the cart, went all the way thru checkout 'till "confirm order" with no discount applied.
  17. jdglmg, can you help me out with this? POS imagine is Promo Code? I wanted to buy a $79 item. But it wouldn't take $25 Off. But I realized I needed $100 for the S&H so I ordered two (79x2=$159.00) and no free s&h. Any Idea why niether the S&H went away, or when I tried POS 29986, no $$$ off either? Thanx in advance.
  18. Overall, am satisfied w/ bestbuy. You DID though get the wrong end of the stick with this deal, especially after spending the amount of time, research, networking, and even afterwards to fix THEIR mistake. Some customer manager(s) should be identified by name, as well as associates to report to several bb points of contact. I.E. not just that particular store, but it's district AND try corporate again. I'd also walk in with a bbb report / local media poc's and factually state their poor actions are about to result with you blowing the whistle. My only horror story is their price matching & coupons they've had over the past month ALWAY result in a delay tactic by the customer service counter. i.e.: both last sunday & last nite, I had to wait over :20 min for a price match. I usually canvas 05 stores within 30 miles this time of year, and ALL are having either empty stores (more employees standing around than customers), or not understandable poor customer service.
  19. UPS Says they delivered yesterday, but I didn't see it when I came home!!!!! This is $500+. Where'd they put it, behind a tree???
  20. Yep, I'm pretty sure it's over and done with. No show with the above guidance. Great deal though!!!
  21. S-Rocker Pyramat is a good brand. Christmas 06 got, is still going strong. (Got the one with chrome arms).
  22. Sears=outstanding all around, Especially this year with aggressive f&f, bf, and price matching. Keep up the good work>
  23. Also keep in mind that if your tv supports 1080 (i or p), the PS3 will look super. I'm running a Wii & a PS3, so I bought a Hi Def Switcher to avoid the kids plugging, and unplugging and plugging and ..... again and again. Hope I didn't confuse anyone. The switcher allows either manual or auto (model dependent) switching between all of your devices, whatcha got plugged into it. El cheapo's (sears & bbuy - $40 but are not hi def but from what I understand this is NOT a must have!!!!)
