  1. I bought a ton of stuff from them last year- dvds and games- this year a electric guitar-not a bit of problem.
  2. My DH wants a gas powered leaf blower....and I would love to surprise him with one for Christmas....any suggestions??...I know nothing about them! Thanks!
  3. I am just wondering if anyone else has had a problem in getting their order- I order a number of items- and it looks like Fed Ex has made an error on delivery (which we have never had happen before...but it's noted on the tracking "can not locate address" one day and then 2 days later "left at back door- no signature required" which I find unbelievable since we have a locked 6 foot privacy fence and a very large loud dog that would have been between the Fed Ex man and the back door! Once I saw that I called St. Judes and got a bit of a run around (Ok..figured its the weekend) and they said call Fed Ex and call them back on Monday. I called Fed Ex- of course they know nothing (if they did they would know it was not MY back door they delivered the package too!) and then call back to St. Judes today and ask for the exact dept. I was told to ....only to get questioned all over again and then put on hold two times and then they say they'll have someone call me back within 24 hrs???? Geez....I know the money goes to a good cause- but if I can not get the items I ordered and my money is gone then I would atleast have liked to have been able to add it to the amount we send to Ronald McDonald house every year! Anyone else have a problem???
  4. I placed a $20 order- was $5.50 shipping and $1.25 tax- $26.75 for 5 of the necklace sets and another 5 charms- some will be stocking stuffers and a couple mydaughter can use for friends gifts- thanks for the info!
  5. I work at a store in Central IL...yep that price was the initial 50% mark down that they did on the 24th (at our store)..ours went quick. Another drop last week made some of the toys 85% off! Everything is gone (toys) at our store now. If you go into a store and they don't have something ask them to check for it at another neighboring location. They don't have to make the call and look for it....and if they find it you will have to go get it yourself but at our store we can sometimes find things 30 minutes away at the other stores.
  6. Hello! How many times can you ask for a price adjustment?? I bought a couple Gold Box deals...and they dropped a couple days ago, I asked for and was given a credit but now they have dropped by ALOT more. I emailed again, but I am wondering if they will blow me off since they already adjusted something. One item was just bought 9 days ago. Thanks for your help! Missy
  7. I would like to know about the price adjustment also. All items I have purchased have arrived...a little slow..but still good, but GH II is $5 less than when I bought...I emailed them but got no response yet. Missy
  8. The ones we have gotten we used 30 min at check out toward our order (which contained doorbusters). Hope this helps!

    Aldi's

I work at Aldi's and I have been watching the office for any kind of special ads. Nothing. I was there last year (not on the actual day though...its definantly a request off day for me!) and I don't recall any special sales at all. I can tell you that our store has a very low amount of any type of electronic returns. People are happy with what they get. Alot of the special purchases you see are major brands now. Also our DM confirmed the other day that alot of Aldi branded merch is made by well known companies...(I asked after unloading some of our "exclusive" chocolates and noticing they came in a box from the Palmer Candy Company.) You can bet if an ad comes out and I see it I'll let you all know. The best deals come the day after the holiday when the toys/etc. mark down to 75-90%. Most sell out by noon at our store that day. Last year I bought My Pretty Pony sets for like $4, Polly Pocket wardrobe set for like $3...great reason to work Christmas Eve (the markdown sheet is out at close that night.).
  10. I skipped ahead an didn't read all posts..so I'm probably just repeating what someone else has already said...but I think it all just depends on your kids. You know if your 13 yr old can babysit. Our daughter has since she was 13, but some families the siblings would kill eachother! They can't figure out how we can do it. We had to lay it out so our younger 2 knew that when she was babysitting they were to treat her the same as they would another babysitter...when she is watching them...she is the boss! The same goes for her- they are not the annoying brother and sister, she plays games, has a movie night..all the things she does when she sits other peoples kids. She gets paid or a reward for her work (she loves those cell phone downloads!). It works just fine for us. By the way..we've had alot of sitters over the years...our opinion is that a mature 12 -13 year old is a much better sitter than alot of 15-16 year olds who are really just wanting the money and would rather be on the computer or the phone! This year our daughter (14) will be in charge until we get home. Grandparents will probably check in with them (phone or stop by) and she can of course reach us by cell. It maynot fall into the "things you need to get done" catagory...but for us we look forward to BF every year as one of the only things that my husband and I do just the two of us! Next year we will probably go back to G-ma for BF since my daughter really thinks she wants to try it out herself! Black Friday and Vegas trips...the two things we do not think we'd enjoy with our kids along!
  11. Name? Location? Danville, IL People going with you? My husband (converted him a few years ago!) How long have you been shopping on BF? This will be my 9th year What is the one AD that you really want to see? I'm not sure...Walmart or Target What was that one item you sooo wanted to get, but couldn't get it on BF? Nothing really...I love a good deal but I don't get my hopes up for the hot items. We shop 15+ stores on BF so its in...get it...gone. Cheapest thing you ever bought on BF? Not sure..we buy alot of little things (stockings, etc.) but we shop for bundles alot of times...so not always the cheapest price but we getting the added goodies! Did you ever get anything for free on BF? Yeah...when I first started BF..that was alot of the fun..we've gotten ornaments, chocolates, but our fav was the blinking noses from JC Penney one year (kids loved them!) now it seems like hardly anyone gives away freebies. Gotta love the Sears GC though!
