  1. Hmmm, Searched Holiday Eyes and about 90 matches, then tried clicking on "special offers" w no results (link). Any Help???
  2. Just heads up. Kenmore Progressive series is the way to go. Different models though=length of cord; allum or chrome vs plastic wands, etc... Consumer Rept Best
  3. Right, I see its dated for 11Nov, not today. Darn, I was In the local mall yesterday, but since theyve revamped, KB toys moved!!!
  4. I'm at the KB website & don't see any mention of the b1g1 deal. Is this because it's 'offline deal only??
  5. Thanx shannon, I walked through the mall sunday and asked for the coupon, most folks hadn't taken advantage of it and few employees knew about it.
  6. No. You've both options -wired or wireless-Just depends on what store placed their order with the manuf 7-9 months ago. NOTE: There's allot (2 or 3 so far) of after market guitar bundles being advertised that have nothing to do with GH at all, meaning it's either not compatible with the GH games or another way of putting it, bundles that have tried to mimic the GH concept, but are a completely different system. Same is going on with DDR merchandise (being dance dance ... not the computer memory term). Pretty much if you buy a second or replacement guitar, It'll set you back $39+ (ref TRU on shelves last nite). So because I knew, my kids & others would want to both play at once, I opted for the 2 guitar set, w/wired controllers (guitars) for the $89 price (I think that ends today at Tgt). There were some third party converters to make the wired guitars wireless but again, this was not my deciding factor btwn wired or wireless feature. Now searching around for the three game bundle of GH I, II, & 80's......
  7. Thank You, Same-I had to hunt down the add before I got home Fri nite. But no coupon in the mail! I went to the store & explained I'd been a long time subscriber & no $10/$50 mailed I expected at least a courteous, "sorry, keep trying" but received a 'tude from customer service. AND there were a stack of the coupons on within three feet between us!!! The knex & bionicle were a fiasco (well :10 min of delay) three of us customers were trying to help each other, which sku matched which toy, etc... even the two employees were clueless! Another frustration, and I do have to follow through today on, is the separate GD thread of an upcoming Tue release of a Wii Mario game: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=86693. Nutshell-customer service manager knew nothing about so walked out without pre-ordering. Kinda felt like a mini-burnout of BF-past experiences, employees not giving a hoot. OH, and they're calling it "GREEN FRIDAY". Justa warning of what may lurk in TRU's approach in weeks to come.....
  8. Super! another 's-stuffer! Would've bought more (a couple other things looked good) but in the :30min spent online (more time than in a store), DuraPRO Multi-Stripper Combo Pack ( two = $9) Standard S&H - $9.90 S&H killed it, bummer - sport bras are a good deal & picked up, but sorry, my future word of caution will be HSN tries to kill you on shipping! Thanx for the codes, but neither worked. "You have entered a coupon code that cannot be applied to any of the items that are currently in your shopping cart. Click here to view coupon rules."
  9. Here's some quotes I grabbed from another GD post: NOTE: I just cut & paste so they cannot reflect my opinion! I'm still trying to learn more about it before plunking alot of cash down. IF you get the PS3 - Do yourself a favor and get the 60GB. DO NOT GET THE 80GB version. You will only be kicking yourself later on down the road due to the fact its not backwards compatibale for PS2 games straight out of the box. The 60GB version is. Thats what I have the 60GB. Sure you may get 20GB more harddrive space, but thats why you get the external harddrive Sony has put out for the PS3 if you need more space. Believe it or not 60GB is A LOT of space to play with for a game system. It's not that the 80GB can't play ps2 games, they just aren't guaranteeing that it will play all ps2 games. This is what it says: "This product has limited backward compatibility with PlayStation® and PlayStation®2 format software. Many PlayStation®2 format software titles operate, but full compatibility is not guaranteed. Updating the system software may improve compatibility. Visit the playstation website for system software updates." I don't think the 60GB is any different, they just didn't have the wording there yet. After complaints of some ps2 games not working, they added the disclaimer. I never said it (the 80gb) didnt play PS2 games. I said it didnt play PS2 games straight out of the box, like the 60GB can. We have A LOT of PS2 games, and they all work just fine. Yes 1 or 2 PS2 games may not work (dunno what games they are), but 99% of the games do. I dont know how much you know about the 80gb, but from what I've heard ON E3, read in many video game magazies and read online, the PS3 80GB is ONLY backwards compatible for PS2 games IF you download the software. This is taken from another website: What SONY is doing with the 80GB PS3, is that the new version will not include the Emotion Engine to play PS1 and PS2 games, instead, it will use an emulator to do so instead. In other words, software emulation is used in place of hardware support and as a result, backward compatibility for PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games is reduced, but you still will be able to play PS1 and PS2 games, just not as many as with the 60GB version. With that said, anyone who wants a PS3, get the 60GB instead of the 80GB. You not only would be saving yourself some $$$ but also will have less headches in the long run. The 60gb and 80gb both cost $499, and the 80gb comes with a game. Some retailers are bundling an extra with the 60gb to get them off the shelves, but whatever is left on shelves is all there is so it's a YMMV
  10. msluchie, I'd (as you guess) throw in the extra $$$$ for backwards compatible, since ps2 games are still in demand/ps3 accessories are pretty expensive.
  11. Yep, central VA isn't there either. Funny, had to select Wash DC to get northern VA to pull up Potomac Mills - but waay to far for me.
  12. Yer right, our store was told do not put anything in your cart until five am. Meanwhile, they didn't start unwrapping/carting out items 'till almost three, and most of the staff were uneducated. I kept a smile on my face and tried to give em moral support, but they tripped all over themselves. PLUS, the off duty employees, who never waited in line for anything, came trickling out at 4:45 and walked straight up to their buddies for tickets on big ticket items.

Ditto, where's the add? Have in past waited with always a cheery bunch of folks in 20+ degree weather till they passed out the $__ coupons to the first 100 folks. But if the word is open early, & the prices are good, I may scratch all and drive the 50+ miles to wait in line.
  14. Bump, jokingly the DW asked last night that "we don't need one-right?" meaning, she's throwing a line out there to see what we'll get each other.
  15. captcola, thanx for the info. I'll be looking for a 60gb since only one backwards compatible with PS2. (Right? figure I'd ask straight from the "horses mouth" since you've got one).
  16. Just to add my .02. Look at targets' 02 guitars & ghIII for $89. I picked one up this past sat. Allot of comments about wired vs wireless. It wasn't the deciding factor for me though. Oh, and it was for PS2 platform.
  17. For RETURN customers. Yes, G_C_ is been active since introduced last (?) year. BUT, they reduced the bargains from $10 off $30 & $20 off $50 to a flat $10 off, AND for first time users only:( . I wonder G_C_ retailers knew that allot of folks haven't been checking their existing accounts simply because there's really no incentive to use G_C_ anymore. BRING BACK for EXISTING SUBSCRIBERS! Sorry, buy.com I'm frustrated, since the deals aren't there unless you bring your 'frequent customers back with the former G_C_.
  18. Why don't you just go to sears??? Or order it from sears??? Or have someone go by & pick it up at sears???
  19. Remember last year google checkout was $10/30 & $20/50? and It wasn't a new customer only scheme? THAT, and GottaDeal made my holidays affordable. Ugh, & Rebates galore that I had to keep track of up till Feb!!!! mainly from buy.com as well. Crystal ball doesn't look good for this year for either buy.com or g_c_ though if google checkout doesnt replay their deal with buy.com...
  20. Man, you are bringing this to a whole 'nuther level. Thanx, I did not even think of this.

    Home Depot

Yes, price matching (plus) & 10% is the norm. I have gotten a 10% off discount for friends/relatives over 65 locally since there's 03 Lowes/Home Depot stores within a 10mi radius, pretty much are inter-competitive. Other promo's: Armed Forces - 10% on Memorial/Veterans Day; Seasonal clearance (lawn furniture, Christmas, etc...) can go as high as %50 off-but slim pickings by the time 50% hits. "Garden Club" mbrshp. Offers slight savings, $5 off grass seed (1x), here and there (approx 08 coupons a year). I'd suggest looking at a Black & Decker Outlet for a 24volt drill setup as an alternative to the Ryobi.

  24. I wouldn't see scalping being a major issue (yet). Keep talking about it long enough and everyone will start doing it!!!! There was a lady #15 or so, who missed out on the CC Laptop ticket, she was mad enough to go through the line in front and ask (politely), then come through a second time with an associate, trying to get someone to cough up a ticket (to no avail). I sypathized with her, untill second time when she started to make a stink. I don't think accusations were pointed at us directly, but my buddy, his daughter, her boyfriend, and I all did buy laptops (we were #2). In fact I'm using the laptop right now! Thanx CC!

Ok, Same Item Price Matching.... Sears offers price match+10% of the difference, (only). Home Depot will price match + 10% additional off entire price. Lowes will price match + 10% additional off entire price. I.E.: Black & Decker Toaster on sale at (you pick any store) for $100. Sears at $110. Will match + only an addn'l $1 = $99. Home Depot at ($ doesn't matter). Will match + addn'l $10 = $90. Lowes at " " = $90.
