  1. It could be that those are the best prices available...
  2. No problem. My Mom and Dad do quite a bit of traveling and Dad always finds the best deals through RentalCarMamma.com. http://www.rentalcarmomma.com/cities/orlando.htm
  3. Are you picking up a car in Orlando or are you trying to pick something up in NJ and drive down?
  4. AT&T is providing the cell phone minutes and data plan... Not Apple.
  5. The iPhone 4th Generation will have a 5MP rearward facing camera with a flash (including the ability to capture HD video) and a front-facing camera for video calls, Skype video (or FaceTime), and probably recording clips to YouTube. Also, the screen on the new iPhone will have the highest resolution of any phone. The iPhone 4GS will also have 40% longer battery life and in addition to having the WiFi bands of B & G, it will also add N. And if you like to game on your iPhone, the new gyroscope in the 4th gen iPhone will reinvent the wheel! <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-u_Evkd8Os&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="*****************" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-u_Evkd8Os&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" *****************="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> There are probably a few other hardware upgrades that I forget at the moment, but to say "you can just upgrade your current Iphone 3GS and have the same features as the new unit" is not completely accurate. --------- Regarding the OS update: Since my iPod Touch is a lowly 8GB 2nd generation, I don't get all the bells & whistles, but I did do the update. The folders method to organize Apps is the bee's knees -- it should have been this way all along. I organized my Apps into neat little folders like: radio, restaurants, local, card games, action games, reference, sports, etc. The only other major change that my Touch now has is the ability to see multiple e-mail accounts in the same inbox. Multitasking and the new backgrounds is not available for my bottom-rung Touch. Still a worthwhile upgrade and you can't beat the price (free). Warning: the update takes an hour, since iTunes will completely backup the iPhone/Touch first. Best to do this one while you are sleeping... Here's an article that REALLY gets down to the nitty-gritty of what's new in iOS 4: http://arstechnica.com/apple/reviews/2010/06/ars-reviews-ios-4-whats-new-and-notable.ars
  6. Well, yeah, it was unlimited back when I wrote that originally... The new plans went into effect June 8th, I think. ---- I'm just holding out hope that the 4th generation of iPod Touches will finally include a camera. They should be released in September, in keeping with past years...
  7. Well, the difference is that they're making their money on the backend with the iPhone -- that $30/month data charge for the life of the phone.
  8. Even without the cost of photopaper, it's the ink cost that gets ya every time! A cheap printer like the one with the Polaroid camera probably has all of the colors in one cartridge and if you run out of one color, you need to replace the whole thing. I betcha the color ink for it costs $50. dealluvr -- check out Newegg.com and Amazon.com. Cross reference with reviews from objective sources, like Cnet.com.
  9. Lowest price possible is still a wide range. Under $100? Under $200? Between $400 - $500? Do you want a pocketable camera? A mid-sized point and shoot? A bridge camera? (those have a larger body and bigger zoom lenses) Do you plan to print your photos? If so, what's the maximum size you envision printing? 8"x10"? 18"x24"? etc.
  10. It still works for me for the items I am debating on...
  11. Nice find! They also have many items that are shipping free right now if the total qualifying purchase adds up to $50 or more.
  12. $23.05 for five months, roughly $4 per month. XM Everything is all the standard channels: music, comedy, sports, news, talk. ---- but no premium stuff like Howard Stern, Playboy, etc.
  13. Thanks, Stacie... I just called and got that deal... And that's for "XM Everything" vs the "Mostly Music" plan I had for my wife previously.
  14. We have XM's music only plan (no sports and just a handful of talk radio). It's $9.99/mo. plus tax.
  15. Oh, the one at the top of the page is fine... That's well away from where we type actual responses and it just jumps down to the quick reply box. Thanks!
  16. Brad --- is it possible to remove the "Reply to Thread" button that I've circled in the screen cap below: It's not really necessary since the "Quick Reply" box is automatically shown and I have already accidentally vaporized many clever/witty/informative responses by clicking that larger button when I should have clicked the "Post Quick Reply" button on the lower right. I have tried to AdBlock it to keep me from doing that in the future, but for some reason it doesn't go away. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is doing this...
  17. Hey Brad -- is there any way for the vBulletin to show who the last poster is for each thread? For my subscribed threads, I'm having a hard time telling if anyone posted after my reply.
  18. Cool! Glad I could help. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Happy/blush.gif
  19. 6554 -- Free shipping, unknown expiration 6617 -- 20% off entire order + Free Shipping on $75 or more! (ENDS 3/2/10, as in TODAY!)
  20. Yes... That means more and more McD's, Dunkin' Donuts, shopping malls, professional baseball stadiums, etc.
  21. We bought our range and dishwasher from Lowe's. When were bought them (2003), they had the best prices overall... It may have changed since 2003, but Home Depot was ridiculously expensive -- it's not like the appliances were actually gold-plated, they were just priced as if they were. Might not hurt to check these days though. You could check out Sam's Club/BJs/Costco if they are nearby and you are a member. Also some people swear by Sears. You could check with your local (independent) appliance stores too.
  22. Closed. Scanner420 will send us a PM when to reopen this so he can post the results...
  23. A Chistmas Carol! er, no? Elf! er, no? ---- OK, Christmas Vacation then.
