If not $99, very close to it. I was lucky last BF...picked up a very nice one (online) from Best Buy for about $170, so they'll probably drop at least $50 this year.

DD10 rarely asks for anything for Christmas. I usually scour Amazon, Toys'R'Us, this website, her favorite clothing store etc. to come up with things that I think she'd like. It is hard, but I end up buying lots of things. I think I would buy less if she'd just make a list! :) I agree with others not to get the IPad, given what they already have. It's just an extra (and overly expensive) gadget that does all the same things their current gadgets do, so it will probably be money wasted.

Someone told me once at a department store that Apple doesn't allow discounting. So, the best they can do is throw in a gift card. However, with the new ipods coming out, Apple will lower the retail price of the older gens.

The longest I've camped out was 12 hours, and this was during the cold at major shopping centers in large metro areas. (I am shocked at the days on end camping!) The only thing we do is bring a couple of chairs, dress in layers, and bring a little entertainment. Not much to it, really. We don't even bring food. One of us leaves whenever we are hungry and runs to the store to get something hot. I doubt you need all the extra stuff unless camping out for days.

Clothes and either a Nook or Kindle for me; a stereo for my mom; cheap DVD's; small gifts for a few people; and a few things for DD10 (only child) that neither wants nor needs anything...that is going to be tough. Overdid it last year, so we may just go on a vacation instead of spending a lot on a bunch of things that we don't need.

Probably worse. They have been getting steadily worse over last few years. Besides Old Navy, I'll probably buy the few items I intend to get online, which was where all the worthwhile deals were. Now, if I am pleasantly surprised by some killer deals, I'll be out there with the hordes.

Read reviews for this specific backpack on Amazon and undecided whether I should buy (many complaints that backpack is flimsy and small). DD10 has a JanSport from last year that is in excellent condition and is a good size, so she really doesn't need a new one, but I know she would like one, and the one she has is better than this one, I think. What to do..........

I think the prices are comparable. The prices are the biggest drawbacks for me...I usually buy my books for $1 on abebooks. I wish more libraries would start loaning electronic books.

Barnes & Noble Nook has huge price drop too. Hmm, wait until Christmas in hopes of another price drop or buy now........

Home Depot had a decent sale....got this: [ATTACH]3362[/ATTACH] Now if overstock would get the black media storage pedestals (for DVDs) and I can find a good sale on framed movie posters, I can finish our media room. :-)

The stadium is small so every seat is really a good seat. The kids get the same portion as the adults. It's a lot of food! 1/4 chicken, a big rib, soup, potato wedges, apple turnover, all you can drink (and alcohol available for purchase if you want it). Don't get any extras...overpriced.

We've been 2x and will probably go again when there is a good deal. It is a lot of fun! DD loves it and really gets into it.

I am in desperate need of a large (8x11 or so) rug for our family media room. I'm thinking either contemporary (geometric designs) or a shag, but would probably prefer the former. In the past I have purchased all of our rugs at www.homedecoratorsoutlet.com but they have not had anything close to what I'm looking for for well over a year. Price is extremely important, but not willing to sacrifice qualify for price. Any suggestions on where to find such a rug online?

You heard wrong. Zunes are awesome! Much more user-friendly than an Ipod. Sweet games, just wish there were more. Movies are beautiful. Great battery life. Would never switch to an Ipod.

The same can be said for most of the other places I shop at online and yet I've never had similar problems. There are other places to purchase from that offer great deals, so while its no loss to them that I won't order from them anymore, it's also no loss to me either.

Same! I'm so sick of deepdiscount. Both times I've tried to order from them has been a disappointment. The first time, they took so long with shipping that I had to cancel and order somewhere else. And now this. I'm done. Will never order from them again.

Ugh! This is a better deal than B3G3 during the holidays. :-(
