DD asks for very little and didn't even make a list this year. She can never think of what she wants. Its probably because she has too much stuff and knows that I'm going to buy her a ton of great stuff anyway. She's an easy kid. :)

So true!!! I had originally planned on spending $700-800 on DD (only child), and ended up spending more than twice as much! Its a good thing I don't buy her much throughout the year except clothes (teaching her delayed gratification) otherwise I would be mad at myself.

We make sugar cookies and milk or apple cider if we are out of milk. We have been doing this for 8 years now. I don't think DD really still believes in Santa, but its still so much fun to pretend that she does. :-)

We always have a seafood feast (crab legs, shrimp cooked a couple of ways, lobster tails, fried fish) and throw in a lasagna, sides, and dessert.

If you have a guitar hero guitar that came with world tour or after, yes. The guitar that came with Guitar hero 3, however, is not compatible

My mother and I headed out to the outlet mall in our city at around 9:00 pm to make the 10:00 pm opening of Aeropostale and other stores. This was our first year going to the outlet. (Last year I tried to go but after being stuck in traffic for over an hour, gave up and went home). We went into Aero, got 2 $10 hoodies for DD, returnedd the clothes I had bought earlier and was able to get cheaper online. Then we headed to Children's Place where I shopped for my 2 Salvation Army Angels. The deals were great! I found a bunch of stuff that cost only $.79. Then we went to a few other stores and bought boots for ourselves and a pair of Converse for DD. We may have bought some other things too, but I don't recall now. Other things bought: Old Navy: Lots of clothes for myself, mom, DD, and 2 "Angels" missed out on the free lego rock band game and the checkout line was incredibly long. Fortunately, I had mom join the line soon after we got into the store and hold our place while I shopped. Target: PJs for me and DD Comforter set for DD $3 appliances (they had very few of each) Euro pillows Home Depot: decorated tree for $39 twin pack of 4' trees (but one was a dud and had to be returned and they had no more)...bummer wet/dry vac Sports Authority: Treadmill that was on sale for $269 Tennis balls 2 sports bras TRU: Hannah Montana plug n play game Perfect brownie pan Payless: Sneakers for myself and "Angels" Academy: Tennis shoes Burlington Coat Factory: 3 Coats (was interested in the $9 puffer jackets but they sold out within minutes I was told) Justice: A bunch of clothes for DD Kohl's: Jewelry box for DD 2 GPS dashboard mount mats (they suck and took one back) Kohl's was terrible! The lines were incredibly long and no one knew where anything was. There was no rhyme or reason to where they placed the doorbusters. I will never go to Kohl's on BF again! On Turkey Day, I was able to get lots of things on my list from JCPenney, Macy's, Best Buy ($179 netbook!!) so avoided having to go to those stores Well, I am almost completely done with my shopping. I think I'll stick to online shopping next year as I did last year. BF is no longer as fun as I remembered. :-(

hehe. I wrap my own presents every year! Not as fun as not knowing what's under the wrapping paper, but still fun!

Got mine in! Because of GD, even when I think I'm done, I can never stop shopping, but what a great deal!! -
Just spent another $100+. I felt bad that one of my "angels" had a huge pile, while the other (older one) had a significantly smaller pile so I ordered a few more things for her, and also a few more things for DD that I couldn't resist. I need to hurry up and buy those stocking stuffers and teacher gifts so I can pay off the credit cards and be done with shopping altogether. (always an all cash Christmas, but I use cc's to keep track of my purchases and just pay off the balance once shopping is complete).

The damage so far is $3500. Bought presents for myself, mom, sister, sister-in-law, DD10, secret santa, and 2 Salvation Army "Angels." Still need to buy for DD's 7 teachers and coaches, monetary gift for mailman, and stocking stuffers for DD and mom. I really thought I'd spend less than last year, but I thought wrong. I have no self control. LOL

I want to buy a skin for my DD's new netbook, but the brand isn't showing. Do you think it will be fine if I choose any 10.1 netbook as the device?

Don't know if anyone posted this already, but Best Buy has this in stock again online. Seems to be a good netbook at a good price. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Compaq+-+Mini+Netbook+with+Intel%26%23174%3B+Atom%26%23153%3B+Processor/9576951.p?id=1218127629647&skuId=9576951&st=compaq%20netbook&cp=1&lp=1

I am all done wrapping everything that was bought in person. A few items I ordered online and didn't ship to folks directly should arrive this week and I will wrap those and not have to worry about gifts until a couple days prior to Christmas when I will go pick up stocking stuffers. :-)
