BF 2004 I was working at Cherry Hill Mall (nj)...

Do you know those days where you're driving around, cruising for a spot and you think you've found one only to see at the last minute it's a tiny car?

Well. I owned the tiny car then. Security came marching into my store on BF to escort me out to my car, not telling me anything and I see a gentleman there flipping out because he tried to park on top of my car. Swearing and screaming that I had cut him off and took the spot and that's why he didn't see my car.

I had already been there for 4 hours. Then he yelled and hollared at me saying that mall employees shouldn't be allowed to use the parking lot and that my car was too small etc etc. And that he would get me fired. So I went back to work and 30 minutes later he came in and asked to speak with the manager of my business... ahh.. how much fun it was to say that I was the manager..

anyway. i digress. i was really furious about the whole situation. there was some vindication in it for me in that Mr. LincolnTownCar messed up the front of his car and then in his attempts to get me in trouble failed miserably (on multiple fronts). i was more than a little bit upset that my christmas presents that were in the trunk ended up all mangled and destroyed.

victory was mine though. he had to pay for repairs, i had receipts for the items in the trunk and he agreed to pay for those (actually his wife made him), his wife also made him write me a letter of apology for his behavior.

that wife of his, nice lady. ;)

There was a radio station who had one of their guys stand in an empty parking spot right in front of Best Buy and just wave people on, he didn't have a car he just kept telling everyone he was "saving the spot". So the parking lot was full, people couldn't park and they thought it would be a good practical joke to do this.... I thought he was going to get to see a case of RoadRage but I never did..

Some call it road rage some call it my way of getting syched (sp) up. If you have seen the movie the Blues Brothers where they are driving away from the Nazis and you hear the music in the background (Cant think of the name of it, its on my ipod), I have that cranked up at 3:30 in the morning on my way to the first store. I get this sudden urge to drive really fast then, and people get out of the way. Do not mix with energy drinks or Mountain Dew or else you get a wicked rush. LOL

I use the same music on my way to the next store when Im on the freeway.

We went to Belden Village Mall and shopping area in Ohio a couple of years agao and the traffic was not moving at all. Well, we soon found out why when a police car went flying through and a guy jumped out of his bronco and took off running. The police jumped out of their car and started chasing after him and they both left their vehicles in the middle of the road with the doors open and no way around them! What a mess! I think we were stuck there for at least an hour. That was the last year we went there on bf!! I am a small town girl, and I'll stick to the smaller towns on days like BF!! LOL ;)

BF is probably the only day, that I make a concious effort not to get road (or cart) rage! Any other day of the year, I will let you know that I have one heck of a Yankee/Irish/Indian temper! I go for the deals, and I smile (which can really irritate the wrong people!) I figure if I can get through BF with a smile on my face, and at least a couple of my deals, then the rest of the season will be just fine!

SAMISMA what store I love the Cherry Hill Mall, its going really upscale now.

I worked at the Zales, Sunglass Hut, and Journeys there. Also did a brief stint helping a friend who owned the Christmas Ornament Cart (every year, by the train where strawbridges was - if you see her tell her Jesse says hello!)

I admit I get bad roadrage towards stupid people.. Mainly people who run red-lights, pull out in front of me, etc.. But I usually try to keep calm on BF, even though it never works.. I just get so frustrated with people who run red-lights after they've been red for a while, and people who knowingly block intersections..

Parking usually isn't a problem for me, because I generally just park towards the back of parking lots anyway.. But this year might be a little different since I'm working at a mall, and I don't think I'm going to like leaving at 1am walking to the end of a parking lot.
