pmdemey Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Yesterday the credit cards got paid off and hidden. Okay, I took them out of my purse and froze them but they are ready to burn up the internet on BF!
leefamily23 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I've been working on my budget to be sure I can squeeze 1 whole check (which is 1/2 our holiday budget anyhow) for nothing but BF in that week.
hwolf6330 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Yesterday the credit cards got paid off and hidden. Okay, I took them out of my purse and froze them but they are ready to burn up the internet on BF!Congratulations! I wish I could say the same thing.
elena_398 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 We are thinking about a new TV for the bedroom. LCD minimum size is 36". If BB or anywhere else has them at a great price, my husband will go out (first time he will experience the lines. LOL). I always go to Walmart first as they price match. I usually get most of my shopping done then. This is the first year though that Im almost done BEFORE BF.
Bunniq Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I always go to Walmart first as they price match. I usually get most of my shopping done then. This is the first year though that Im almost done BEFORE BF.I also like to go to Walmart for PM, although last year the one I went to had quite a few items missing from their shelves. Last year I also had family decide to go with me. So far, and this of course may change, I will go to my Walmart Super Center first, and hopefully they will stay open this year, then I will go to Sears, then Bath and Body Works, and then someplace for breakfast! Before breakfast, if I haven't gone over my budget, I may check out the other store deals. Then home!!
i.feature Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Yup. Just booked a hotel form my trip. We turn it into a whole weekend.
Havoc904 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I have a large sum of money on a Circuit City gift card, so I am really hoping they have some good deals. Probaly start there first, move to Best Buy or Target, then hit a mall or two.
jarerice Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I'm saving money and it helps that I get 3 checks that month!
Spotted1 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I've already got the budget sliced and diced for maximum dollar stretchage, and I've been working on the babysitter situation for that all important day, as well.
rickjs Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 We already sorta...have it planned out. My cousins, keith and david, will go to black friday with my dad and me to get laptops and monitors. Only thing is, I have to convince him to go really early. We got there really late last year.
diecastbeatdown Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I'm saving money and it helps that I get 3 checks that month!hah, me too! that's where i'm pulling from, naughty i know. my plans haven't changed much over the years, still go to the same places.
peifgirl Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 yep stopping for starbucks....check stopping for krispy kremes....check avoiding walmart......check getting good deals cause i check here........check
jade6700 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I'm saving money and it helps that I get 3 checks that month! That's how it worked out here too. We just have to save enough for groceries and gas, the rest is Christmas $$. I'm not sure what store I'll hit first yet but I know Starbucks for a Gingerbread latte is high on the list!!! Also Bath & Body Works, I just love that place!!!
Gporter34 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Yeah, and it looks like the plans will be a little different this year. Not going to the "big party poopin' WM".
Iliveforblckfri Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 My plans never change. If you go with me, plan on hitting breakfast at Denny's at 4am. We make our WalMart plans then. Three people going. We will divide our lists up three ways. The goal is to be out of WalMart in less than 35 minutes. Then onto Fred Meyers or Sears. Freddy's is where I spend my time due to the 1/2 price socks. The goal is to be home by 9am. Good luck all.
koalamom Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 My plans, well let's see, I am 20 minutes from Wal-Mart BUT if they don't drop this whole "we are suing thing" then I am traveling 2 hours to go to Target!!!!!
