kiwi2121 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 lol, I am already thinking ahead. I was just wondering about the day after xmas sales in the Usa...are they usually as crazy as the BLACK FRIDAY ones in terms of # of ppl and time waiting in line for things..thanks.
ebony0421 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 It is going to be crazy, but not as crazy as bf. You'll have last minute shoppers, people buying 50% off decorations and wrapping paper for next year and people stocking up on other bargains.
mommie75 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 long return lines to fight around. i usally wait till about a week after to go bigger discount
elena_398 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Walmart is nuts. I buy all the little girl makeup sets. Regularly $2.88 and $4.77. I believe day after christmas its 50% off. If you try and wait till 75%, its pretty much picked over
Gporter34 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I go the day after and keep going on a regular basis to make sure I get some good things at great prices. The stores around here are pretty crowded but mostly returns and things like that. I have always gotten alot of things really cheap without too much of a crowd.
stacimarie Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I don't get to christmas shop the day after considering I am still having Christmases with family. I did have to run in wm last year and it was outrageous, almost worst than bf.
elena_398 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I have like 6 makeup sets I bought from last year. I got some of them at the 75% off (someone obviously hid them), but alas, I found them! I also buy my wrapping paper for the following year then and tags, bows, and christmas cards.
sanam Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 well i am now waiting for victoria secret sale. its huge and the prices do come down...
dealdiva Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I also love the Hallmark stores the day after Christmas. Their paper and cards are great!
Guest Deals4Me Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I wait for walmart...I do buy some things at 50% but believe me...my walmart get scanner hapy and marks a LOT down to 5 cents...hehehe thats when I have fun.
Gporter34 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Same here!LOL We got alot of stuff last year at WM for .25 or .10! I love it and especially when I am looking in another part of the store and see something someone put back on the shelf, scan it, and WOOHOO...25 cents!LOL
mghtymth27 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 day after Christmas shopping is great!!! With the kids b-days coming up in Jan and Feb -- it's a perfect time to check out the clearance items!!!
nick_jenni_jocelyn Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 i do a lot of shopping the day after. I buy bath stuff, wrapping paper, ribbon, anything thats half off that i might want, lol.
Bestbuy7 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 OMG..just the thought of it makes my skin crawl... I will have to do some shoe shopping so i have to go...dont want them to sell out
laffnatu Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 It's also the perfect time to pick up gifts for someone whom you didn't get to see over Christmas. I usually do this for my FIL and his wife. We don't see him on Christmas day and I save more $$$.
elena_398 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Thats true. I do buy some gift sets for out of state relatives too. Just my husband's grandparents though
JanetThomas1 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 If you live in the Mid-West Meijers has THE BEST day after sales! I always pick up a tone of toys that I can use as gifts throoghout the year for practically nothing! I don't have one around here and I am not sure if I will be able to get to one the day after, but I sure hope to!!!!!
teebee Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I'm staying home! I don't think I can do the crowds!
motoXmom Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I know one place I WILL NOT be is Khols! Their returns lines are crazy actually the entire store is a messy madhouse! I'll be relaxing~hopefully LOL
eve Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 return lines lol now that in itself packs the store
elena_398 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I end spending $100 ++++ at Walmart the day after Christmas. I just make sure Im their SUPER early. After midnight is when the new pricing goes into effect so I will be going to my 24 hour one. Stocking up!
erh12275 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I can't wait for this sale. From the end of Dec thru about February I pick up toys and Christmas at the discounted price. And this year since we have NO decorations and I need to replace them...I plan on buying as much as I can afford.
kjunea Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I end spending $100 ++++ at Walmart the day after Christmas. I just make sure Im their SUPER early. After midnight is when the new pricing goes into effect so I will be going to my 24 hour one. Stocking up!But my 24hr Walmart won't open up until 5:00 AM. They close on Christmas Day here!
decafmom Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I also love the Hallmark stores the day after Christmas. Their paper and cards are great!I'm hoping to get some of the Illuminations ornaments at Hallmark. I love them, but refuse to pay that much money for them.
musiang Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I LOVE the day after!! Me and hubby have a system, he stays at the end of the aisles, and I walk thru with full arms, then we head to a scanner, and watch the savings pile up. We get alot of cousoins, friends and little kids gifts for thru the year then!
leefamily23 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 We usually head out for awhile. We don't attempt any returns until the following week when the kids are back in school.
MarkRaby Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I've been hearing that the day after Christmas won't be that great this year. They had some guy on CNN the other day saying that, since gift cards have been booming exponentially in popularity, retailers won't be marking stuff down so soon after Christmas, and that the really good "after Christmas" specials will not be until the first week or so of January, when most of the gifted gift cards have been used. -Mark-
Candy Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I cant wait til the day after Christmas...I love it. I buy my perfume for the year then...usually get great deals and it last me all year.
