Is it best to purchase on Black Friday, before/after Christmas or a couple months into the new year when all the new models are coming in and old ones are going away? You won't get a better price and it's usually 12 -18 months until they introduce a new model. I also plan on getting the SquareTrade warranty on both the tablets I purchased. Retailers only allow 2 weeks on tablets, I cant return mine. But I'm not concerned about updates. I am so happy I don't have to go to Walmart... my husband told me that he would just give me the 80$ to save my sanity if i planned to go to walmart tomorrow night. the nabi was the ONLY thing I needed at that store. I started to put the money on the card last night while I was at Walmart, but I didn't. So, now I don't have a way to order the Nabi..lol. DH and I share a car and he is at work..I am going to call my sister a little later (when she gets up) and see if she will go put money on it.. Hopefully it will still be on sale. If you buy it new at $179, as has been advertised at Amazon and JR recently, or wait to do so on Black Friday at any of the dozen or so retailers offering it, you only get the manufacturer's 1 yr. Comes with Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich and Samsung already announced plans to upgrade it to Jelly Bean soon. I bought 2 for my oldest two. I finally managed to get one and the Samsung for $179. Missed out on the GC, but my daughter said she didn't care about it being white or not because she wanted to get one of those skins later on. She also said nobody has black or grey....although I just bought mine at Sears in black for 179.00 with $28/2 year warranty. I still came out ahead even not getting a gift card.
