jade6700 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Brad, you totally got me! LOL! I should have known better after BB last night.
neeka27 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 My wm is about 5 minutes away I just don't do cluster**s :)
wininbid Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 My wife and her sister went out to fight the crowds at WM. She got quite a few of the items on her list. They went for 10, (it's now midnight), and she even picked up one of the 19" TV's for $88. I'll try to get anything she missed when/if it goes live.
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 wonder if rural WMs are more crowded than urban ones where there are more to choose from?
emelie Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I'm in Cut Off (near Grand Isle). Are you in LA too Wininbid?
jennirv4967 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 After I got home, I heard sirens.... apparently a fist fight broke out at Walmart, bloody lips. Wusses
freesia39 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 This thread is entertaining as I am waiting for apple.com to go live. *yawn*
beccasbank Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Did you laugh at us last night in the BB thread too Cindy?
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 After I got home, I heard sirens.... apparently a fist fight broke out at Walmart, bloody lips. WussesYou're a mama of twin boys....you are one tough mama and no wuss!
noehlp Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 no where near Brad so he is safe from the homicidal Walmart online shopper LOL.seriously, near Traverse City.lmao
wininbid Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I am in Ponchatoula, just north of Lake Pontchartrain. The wife said the Hammond WM was NUTS! People parking down the street in other parking lots and walking. They went to the WM in Amite. She said it was still crazy, but not nearly as bad.
noehlp Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 This thread is entertaining as I am waiting for apple.com to go live. *yawn*Any idea what's going down for Apple? I keep refreshing - because I'm curious - and still nothing.
beccasbank Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I am really liking the memory foam bath mat I got @ WM tonight. It feels so squishy!
Buschbaby Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I am rural. Our WM was absolutely nuts. The parking lot was full, people were parking across street, in grass, etc.. There were no carts by 9:30. I got lucky and some friends leaving gave me a cart. If you were not standing near the display at 10pm, you most likely didn't get it. Usually the cheapy food grinder is left over for days after BF, this year they were all gone. Sheets gone in minutes. I only got a few household items, most things on my list were gone before I got to them. I think it is the 10pm time, many kids and people who wouldn't get up early were there this time. I've BF shopped that WM for many years and never seen anything like this.
freesia39 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Did you laugh at us last night in the BB thread too Cindy?I was asleep! I've given up on Best Buy online for BF after last year - I'm not staying up til 3am Pacific Time to hope I get on a BB deal.
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I am really liking the memory foam bath mat I got @ WM tonight. It feels so squishy!argh sure rub it in...!!I have one sitting in my cart.
jennirv4967 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 You're a mama of twin boys....you are one tough mama and no wuss!I'm lucky if I can get through a night without one boy crying or bleeding LOL. Just can't believe there was anything there worth getting into a fist fight over.
freesia39 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Any idea what's going down for Apple? I keep refreshing - because I'm curious - and still nothing.Probably midnight. Is there something you're looking for? Apple has a store on campus, and they usually do a holiday sale, but I haven't received an email yet. They're also only open business hours...
jennirv4967 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 will have to say after Staples at 2, I don't know if I have the energy/patience to wait for these damn sheets
neeka27 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 someone in the other thread said someone broke their arm from a fist fight for cutting in line!
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I'm lucky if I can get through a night without one boy crying or bleeding LOL. Just can't believe there was anything there worth getting into a fist fight over.certainly not a waffle iron LOL
bupchurch29 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 wonder if rural WMs are more crowded than urban ones where there are more to choose from?Ours was very very crowded. No parking and no carts. Of course it's the only thing open in the two towns it serves.
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 will have to say after Staples at 2, I don't know if I have the energy/patience to wait for these damn sheetsI am considering postponing Menards until later in the day and see whats left.....sheets...i need new sheets....both us and my son got new queen beds and they aren't getting set up until i get new sheets.
Karmarose Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 What does this say about us that we prefer online shopping and we are up at midnight to get sheet sets? I need a King. There were only four in the further away store.
siczlo Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I think i am going to bed...didn't need pj pants that bad anyway...Have to hit Menards in 5 hours.... On another note....I just realized that in the last 24 hours, I bought a 42" tv, a core i5 desk top, and a core i3 laptop for $1000 total.... Thats why I love gottadeal and black friday week!
beccasbank Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Has anyone looked at the Sheex sets offered at Bed, Bath and Beyond? They are so expensive, but wonder if they really work.
noehlp Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Probably midnight. Is there something you're looking for? Apple has a store on campus, and they usually do a holiday sale, but I haven't received an email yet. They're also only open business hours...Midnight what zone? Not really looking for anything in particular. BUT if I so happen to come across a really good shuffle deal I may have to bite on a couple.
civicracinggirl7 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 certainly not a waffle iron LOLApparently, this almost happened at our WM... Following this thread now that I realized the 600 tc sheets are sateen. I have a set of these that I love from Kmart. I didn't even see the sheets anywhere in the store, and we did a couple of laps.
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 What does this say about us that we prefer online shopping and we are up at midnight to get sheet sets? I need a King. There were only four in the further away store. the difference is $6 sheets versus $40 sheets. i don't expect the same quality, but it fullfills a need right now.
