ohio_gal1959 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I like to have the lights on my tree flashing, but my Husband says it looks like a Neon Sign. But this year, its a Flashing tree, because its my turn to pick.
Guest all2tired Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Non flashing. I get dizzy when things flash
starshine Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Non flashing it distracts me to much with the flashing lights since we usually have the tree near the TV.
elena_398 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 My tree is a prelit 7.5 ft tree. It can twinkle if you opt it too.
Tracy72 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 it depends on the mood I am in...lol...most of the time it is solid clear lights.
kmbrly Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 6 1/2 ft multicolored pre lit tree, with a couple of strands of blinking lights (multicolored also). I dont even care if there are any ornaments on my tree. I just like the lights. I used to just curl up on the couch, with just the tree lights on.
alimfp Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I prefer the strands to have the choice of flashing or not, we usually have them on steady and not flashing.
abram87 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 nonflashing, I can't handle the flashing kind all the time
EmmyNavasMom Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 We have the multi- setting lights that go through about 15 different flashing patterns and I love it! We have a very kid friendly tree around here. :)
Gporter34 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 The lights outside are set for some to flash, others do not. The lights on my tree do not flash because I like the way they look through the window when they just glow.
JazzMama Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Non-flashing b/c the fiber optics fade in and out
erh12275 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I love the flashing. My parents hated the blink....so we never ever had one as a kid. Loved going to other peoples houses to see their tree.
motoXmom Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 We use both and we usually use about 900 or more lights. DH and MIL wrap each branch! It takes her anywhere from 3-5 days to set her tree up. I use to try and leave town when she started to pull out the Christmas stuff! LOL At least I'd tell her I had to go out of town!
aolson Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 White lights - flashing and non-flashing. I wrap it up in non-flashing lights, and then I place a strand of flashing, just enough to give it a really neat effect. Andrea
beccas302 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 we have a pre-lit that we keep non-flashing, but always end up adding some extra lights that do flash
treasure60 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I like some of them to flash,,,but hubby refuses to let me have them on when he is around. So, mostly non-flashing.
snakeswiff Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Non flashing.....I like the look of the tree with all the lights just on...not going haywire! We did a flashing tree one year, It gave me headaches! LOL:gd_stars:
svblizard Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Our tree in the living room is a 7 1/2' prelit nonflashing, clear lights. The 6' tree in our bedroom has multicolor lights with a strand of twinkling lights.
tootsieroll23 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Non flashing, DH puts at least 15+ strands on the tree
StephanieD Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Non flashing. I'd like them to twinkle, but I didn't realize when we bought our tree that the lights didn't have an option.
elena_398 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I have a switch that can make the lights blink or not. Love that feature
orangedaisy Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I am with the OP - my husband doesn't want the blinking but I really do! I will get what I want this year. It's my turn too. LOL.
elena_398 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I love the blinking but my husband hates it. Says it messes with his tv viewing. LOL
Candy Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 We have a 7.5 foot prelit...so we go back and forth...depends on what everyone wants to see....but outside...I have lots and lots of dancing, twinkling lights all over.
