Stowasser Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 There was a few pillows left and some dishes, I did pick up a pair of candle holders metallic that were stunning but nothing else. The kids there said it was a 6 week run on items, helpful for next year. There will be nothing for 90%....
krissy904 Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I never even looked twice at Global Bazaar stuff until a few days ago when it was 50% off, but even at 50% off, the stuff just wasn't very appelaing, then last night they dropped to 75% off and I just didn't see anything appealing at all. Well, well, well. today at 90% off, all of a sudden those hideous pillows and ugly vases, tacky candle holders...everything that was stilll there looked so tremendously gorgeous and wouldn't you kn ow, it even "fit" into my deco style. It's amazing how a few percentage off changes can so drastically change one's outlook! Oh yeah Target, I still love you!
duckbrain Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 i must have been the first at this local target, or at least the first heading towards the Global Bazaar items because there was still an aisle full of odds and ends...There were 75% off signs still up BUT when I scanned items they WERE at 90%! I got the last rug 17.99, a match to a pillow i got earlier this week 1.99, and some little trays i think i'll use for candle holders .39!
snakeswiff Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 My Target was at 90% off the global stuff today too. I got a mohair throw for I think 3.99 or 4.99 ( cant remember!lol) and I got one the vases for 3.99! I was quite happy....also glad I went when they have 75% ,was able to get 4 wine goblets for 2.49 a pair and 2 picture frames which I think were 4 and change each...I am having a severe case of brain fade right now! Anyway my store was pretty much empty of the global stuff. I found the vase in the gardening section, guess someone changed their mind! Lucky me! Does anyone know when and if they are going to mark down the olympic apparel? My son wants a T but I am not paying 25 bucks for T!!!!
bugsette Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 just got back from Target.... boy did I miss the boat nothing left in Global Bazar
snakeswiff Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 forgot to add : http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y34/snakeswiff/mirror.jpg Got this bamboo mirror for 3.99!!!!!!!!!!How could I have forgotten that????? Looks awesome in my dining room!!!
bravesrule62382 Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 No aisle left for global bazaar this morning, but found a shelf of the oils in the market section with no prices on them. Sure enough they were the global bazaar ones that were 90% off. Got a lot for $0.69 and $0.79. Great prices for extra virgin olive oil and the three rung ones with olive oil, and vinegar will be great to go with gifts!
Gator Pam Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 It's a Garden Place Outdoor Firebowl, black satin finish .. UPC 099143011196 .. the number on the receipt (is that the DPCI?) is 009040023Thanks for the information!! Is there a model name as well? At the Gator Town Target today... It was pretty picked over, and I missed out on the green comforter from India I wanted, but it wasn't a must have. I mostly concentrated on items for teachers gifts and grocery items. There was one of those gorgeous bamboo mirrors left. But it was cracked on one side, so I passed. For teachers: 3 pillows from India, 2 originally $29.99 ---> $2.99 and the other originally $19.99 ---> $1.995 sets ceramic dipping bowls from Asia, originally $7.99 ---> 79 cents For the art teacher I also found a Garden Place hanging basket with last year's tag mixed in with the same exact items with this year's tag. The new tag items are selling for $12.99, I got this one for $2.48 Back to Global Bazaar, the rest were grocery items for me, although I may use the two piece bruschetta sets as gifts as needed. 3 olive oil and tomato bruschetta sets $9.99 ---> 99 cents3 olive oil and tomato & pepperoni bruschetta sets $9.99 ---> 99 cents2 boxes balsamic vinegar tagliatelle $3.49 ---> 34 cents4 bottles extra virgin olive oil $6.99 ---> 69 cents5 bottles balsamic vinegar $6.99 ---> 69 cents6 over a pound bags of spaghetti $2.49 ---> 24 cents3 over a pound bags of penne $2.49 ---> 24 cents3 jars arrabiatta sauce (for calamari fra diavolo!!) $5.99 ---> 59 cents3 jars porcini mushroom sauce $5.99 ---> 59 cents1 jar marinara $5.99 ---> 59 cents Total with 6.25% sales tax on the non-food items...$33.83. So that would have been about $330 retail. :-)
Guest stopme Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Our Target had about 10 empty aisles with signs saying "Garden Place Coming Soon". Missed all the Global Bazaar stuff.
Spa Mom Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Sunday I bought a robe for $7.48 It was in the womens Lingerie area. Gillian O Malley Reg $29.99 They are long satin, lined with a light weight cloth. Very nice Not to heavy Red with black lining or Pink with Black lining.
sewwise Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I was at my Target today, clearance was slim pickings, however, I did pick up two kitchen rugs for $1.24 each. There are still a TON of heaters left, all at 30% off still. Other than that, there isn't really any clearance to speak of at my store. What's up with that???
blssed2bme Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I just went to Target in Minneapolis and they have one brand of heaters that have been marked down 75% off. It's the Ceramic Heater by Home Fusion. It's in a red and white box and it comes with a bonus heater. It was originally $39.99 but it's marked down to 9.98. This wasn't the price yesterday so they must have just marked this brand down. The rest are still 30% off. I just bought 2 today.
lews11 Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 All the heaters are gone from my L.A. store and replaced with...fans? But there were some Valentine looking home furnishing left and that was it for clearance stuff.
JazzMama Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Not too much to report from my store, except that all of the heaters were gone. I was able to score a few finds: 1000-ct cotton swabs $1.24 Brilliant Brunette mousse $2.48 (down from $4.99) 40-oz Softsoap milk & honey soap refill $2.97 Head & Shoulders shampoo with two trial size bonuses $2.72 (used $1 coupon on this and it was packaged with two more $1 coupons)
aimrico Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Yesterday at the Waterloo IA Target, the purple tent sets mentioned above were down to $5. Boys long-sleeve shirts (lots of xls) $3.24 Those are the ones that jumped out at me.
Gator Pam Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 At the Gator Town Target I got 1 pound boxes of various Market Pantry pasta for 23 cents each. Scan the boxes though, not all varieties were that cheap. The ones I got were: Penne Regate Bowties (shelf tagged at 44 cents) Elbow Macaroni (shelf tagged at 55 cents) Angle Hair But the medium shells and the spaghetti rung up higher. Also, Market Pantry brand of deluxe shells and cheese was scanning for 68 cents each. Although an AOL poster said she found the same dinner for 33 cents.
bravesrule62382 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Ok guys, pull out your peelie coupons for makeup! Esp the Physician's Formula and the Revlon (if you have any of the Loreal insert coupons those will come in handy too)! Today I went to our Target in San Antonio and cleaned them out of Revlon, Physician's Formula, and Loreal clearance makeup. It was all 75% off! Since most of the Physician's Formula stuff was < $2 and I had $2 and $3 off peelies, I had a lot of overage. I had to pocket a lot of the coupons I was going to use because after the all of the makeup and the clearance box of Total Honey Clusters (which I am using for the General Mills Free Box of Cereal rebate) I had a balance of $0.11. The cashier was very impressed! Most of the Revlon nail polish was $0.97, so those $1 off peelies will come in handy (and if you don't have any, chances are they are stuck to makeup all around it --- it was at my Target, so I was shocked any of the nail polish was still there). The Loreal lip color was < $2 so the $2 off insert coupons knocked those out. And as I mentioned the Physician's Formula was all < $2 so if you need some peelies, go to Walgreens and CVS --- They are so abundant here, even the rare $3 ones :)
Gator Pam Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 Great job, bravesrule! And thanks for the hint on the peelies location!

Gator Pam Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 I have $5 peelies for physicians formula....but my Targets never give me overage Crissy, my Target will give me full value for coupons, as long as I'm buying other items that eat up the savings so I wind up owing them some money at the end of the transaction. Your Target won't do that?
Guest RedStateGirl Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Crissy, my Target will give me full value for coupons, as long as I'm buying other items that eat up the savings so I wind up owing them some money at the end of the transaction. Your Target won't do that?My Target gives me full value of coupon as well, as long as they do not owe me anything at the end. Perhaps you should try a different Target. All Physicians(most of it) formula was marked down to $1.62 and $2.27 minus the $2 coupons, I scored majorly!!also MaxFactor foundations were $1.72 plus I had coupons for $2 off, covergirl lipglosses were 62 cents minus $1 coupons that I had from the paper, Almay $1.43 glosses and I had $1 off each. Plus a bunch of other odd and end stuff, hey do not forget the bedding department had their 75% off clearance as well.
allen6192 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I went to get the Physician's Formula make-up yesterday but our Target does not have it on clearance. Was sooo disappointed.

Your Target won't do that?Nope They woont even let me use it if the value is higher than the price.
Guest Deals4Me Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Thats BS, I give Target hell when they pplay that holier than thou BS with coupons. I'm a coupon fanatic, and I knwo my rights!
fairydustcrissy Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Thats BS, I give Target hell when they pplay that holier than thou BS with coupons. I'm a coupon fanatic, and I knwo my rights!I know the rules of coupons as well. But I choose to shop Target in comfort, rather than having them on my back. I can (and have) gotten the same makeup free at CVS. So its not a big deal. And technically, they dont have to give you overage. they could just give the price of the product. Thats what they are supposed to do. I know alot of people have better luck with Target than me, and thats ok. I get nough deals that I'm ok with it.

Well I hate to burst the bubble, but at Target Anywhere, if you step foot in the door with any intention of using a coupon,or even sniff at clearance, you're being watched, I gaurantee it.
fairydustcrissy Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Well I hate to burst the bubble, but at Target Anywhere, if you step foot in the door with any intention of using a coupon,or even sniff at clearance, you're being watched, I gaurantee it.Yeah, i know that. As much as I shop there, I'm sure they do watch me. BUT..they dont hassle me. And when I have tried coupons with them befpore, they did hassle me. So I find I'm better off just sticking to coupons that are not over the price there....no troubles & I get the deals I want.
USC Becca Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 no makeup on clearance around here, but there was entire aisle that was empty. and now nearly all of the wrapping is on clearance, but just 30% off. they've got a ton, so I'll just wait them out
