countingcrow Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 This ad is insane, Wal-Mart definitely isn't planning on making a dime on Black Friday again this year. Wow, what an ad!
DaFees Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Ok, I gotta ask in case anybody would know, but I remember (and I just checked) that in last year's Wal-Mart ad they specifically stated that they would match any local competitors' ad. It doesn't say that this year in their ad, but I got to know if they will be doing so again this year. I ask because by the looks of things I may be in line @ Wal-Mart this year and I've noticed other stores having a few movie deals here and there that may be wroth a PM.
angelbabymommy Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I need a favor, please anyone! My job got a new internet security & now I'm blocked from the GD forums from my office computer! Can I PM someone my work email & they send me the pdf, please & thank you.
countingcrow Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Just because someone will ask, the Magnavox Wifi Blu-Ray player does indeed do Netflix. Wal-Mart owns Vudu, so they are only advertising the Vudu and Facebook/Picasa apps.
jennsahm Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I am liking the 12am sale. I am not looking for any electronics, so I can get all the games, dvd's, and other goodies I want and be out of there in time to go somewhere else!
jeninpa Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Wow! Walmart & Kmart are the only stores in my area and so far the Walmart ad sucks. I guess I might be sleeping in and sticking to online shopping. There might be more excitement here on GD! lol
premiumchip Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Really need the actual ad scan. It's so hard to plan from the list.

chr05angel Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 So its pretty awesome. i am going with hubby for the midnight stuff. Then I can leave, go line up somewhere else, while he stays for the 2 things we want from the 5 am sale (one is a line ticket thing the other is just a printer). That way we aren't trying to battle with lines and tickets and trying to grab the cheaper home stuff and toys at the same time!
annbaumel Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Most of the things I want start at Midnight Friday... I hope to have most of my shopping done then...
Child0fGod Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 i'm an ad scan person too! ty for posting brad! saving now.
fluffkin79 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 This ad is insane, Wal-Mart definitely isn't planning on making a dime on Black Friday again this year. Wow, what an ad! It's comments like this one that are making me rethink going to WM. If the response on here is any indication (and it usually is!) then WM is going to be packed! For those that have been to WM at opening: do you think that we will be able to choose our $2-9 movies and $7-10 video games before midnight and just wait till 12:00 to check out (for 24 hour stores)? Or will they keep them hidden till 12:00 and toss them to the wolves when the clock strikes midnight? I'd be there at 11:00 if we can shop early, otherwise I won't go till 2-3 am and take my chances that there will be something left. Since so few titles are listed, people are going to have to look through everything instead of getting what they came for and getting out of the way. I don't want to be a part of that madness if they pull it out at the stroke of 12.
elena_398 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Last year with all the discounted movies it was a FREE FOR ALL. They rolled out several pallets which had the movies in them. Everyone just ran and started digging and grabbing.
rjncmj Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 So what is the best time to get there for the midnight stuff? And then where are they going to put us all while we wait for the clock to strike 12:01? The store is gonna be packed!
krstee Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The DS Lite will be $89 WOOHOO couldn't of come at a better time...my daughter wants a pink one. Fingers crossed that I am able to get one for her.Me too.
flyjar Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Thanks for the scan Brad. I might actually have to go there early this year.
elena_398 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I know last year they rolled out the movies right when the sale started. Everyone was standing around electronics waiting. I will be there by 11pm to check out where everything is.
monster2369 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Thanks Brad!!! Now all I need to know is when the sales online start and if I need to stay home or go out. :)
Mandy4Matt Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I'm not looking for any electronics..so I'll go at midnight and pickup a few of the toys I see. Maybe some of the pjs and clothing for our Angel Tree kiddo.
freesia39 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 EVERYONE: The ad scan is on PAGE 3. Just go back one page. Don't post your email addresses here - they will be deleted.
sweetdiggity Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I can't wait to see what DVDs they have for under $2 this year. Last year I was really surprised to see some of the movies they had for such a low price!! Awesome deals!
shaneberry21 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Does anyone know anything about the 55' tv listed in the ad, brand name "Element"? Was wondering if it is any good, or would we be better off sticking with a familiar "name brand"?
Mandy4Matt Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The ad is up on their facebook page now too.
