princess01 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Just saw in an email that I get from a coupon blogger that Target is giving out a free tote to the first 500 people in the store. Was that in the ad, because I must have missed it if it was!
AudreyNicole Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Yes it was in the ad, but at the bottom of the first page. It's a pretty tote... hope I can get one :)
princess01 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 aw man, now we might have to rethink target or walmart at 5. hmmm, what to do! lol
AudreyNicole Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 aw man, now we might have to rethink target or walmart at 5. hmmm, what to do! lolHonestly, I am pretty sure I saw the same totes in with the regular red reusable target shopping bags. I think you can buy them for the few bucks, but they are giving them free to the first 500 shoppers.
princess01 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 ok, just checked out the ad again. that tote is CUTE! but why does it say underneath 'starting at 4am'? will employees be giving them out outside of the store starting at 4?
AudreyNicole Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 ok, just checked out the ad again. that tote is CUTE! but why does it say underneath 'starting at 4am'? will employees be giving them out outside of the store starting at 4?I am guessing so... that would probably be the easiest way to determine who were among the first 500. I doubt there will be 500 people outside of my store before they open, but you never know I guess...
princess01 Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 maybe i'll call there tomorrow. if that's the case then we could just stop by there right at 4 and get one and then be on our way to walmart by 4:15. on years we were actually starting there, we would arrive a half hour before opening and definitely be in the top 500.
AndreaInNC Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 the tote is cute - but it appears not to have a flat bottom - which makes it really difficult to shop with!
shanecrow99 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Wow! I totally missed that. Thanks for the heads up OP!
BoredOutOfMyMind Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 the tote is cute - but it appears not to have a flat bottom - which makes it really difficult to shop with!Roll the edges down and create it square and the bottom will lay flat. :) We have used these in California for 4-5 years and I keep having to buy more because they are never in the car empty but are used for storing clothes, baby toys, and the stash from Walgreen's,
dealluvr Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 ok, just checked out the ad again. that tote is CUTE! but why does it say underneath 'starting at 4am'? will employees be giving them out outside of the store starting at 4?wow i wouldve missed out thanks i just read the fine print thanks a:cool:gain they always have to make it so difficult to get a freebie
gopherpuckfan Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Did anyone on here get the free tote this morning? I can't figure out how the velcro flap thing on front works? Weird!!!
redraven21 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 congrats to the people who recieved the tote but here in new york we didn't get any we got an excuse while supplies last but no one on the line recieved any totes.
shanecrow99 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Fold the two long sides inward. Then fold the bottom and the top towards each other. You should be able to look at where both velcro pieces are and figure out how to attach them from there. The shape you will end up with is a very small rectangle.
redraccoon Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 It was a small line in the ad. I got lucky - DH went to Target and didn't even know about them, but he still managed to get one to bring home. :)
Mom2DKK Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 I got one of the pretty ones that was in the ad. Our Target only had about 100 of those but they brought out the regular red ones and gave those away, too. Brandi
riven3d Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 anybody pay attn at the last page of the ad says bring in your recycle bags and receive $.05 for each one. This does not say for each one you use.
jadedmomof2 Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 MIL and I both got one, I love the little fold up bags to keep in the car for when I make an unexpected trip to Target or a grocery store(both of which give discounts for the bags)
emilygracesmom Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 We got them. About 4:15 while we were standing in line, then guy came down the line with a buggy full of them, passing them out and also handed us a store map. They are very cute and great to keep in the car.
sailorsakura89 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 My friend & I got one, but he didnt have any use for his so I ended up bringing home 2 lol
conj Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 we got ours... didn't wait in line (went to 3 stores instead) and they are pretty small. But, pretty...
BF in Iowa Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Free totes for 500? About the first 100 people in line at our local Target got one. Then they "ran out." Then around 5:45, people walking into the store for the first time (when the check-out lines were huge from the 5 am opening), received totes from staff handing out totes to newly-arrived shoppers! So much for the remaining people in line who didn't get a tote prior to store opening; we were all stuck in check-out lines by then! Still, I got the other great deals I was after - even if I remain "tote-less!"
Thumper501 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I got one. I was around 60th in line. They are pretty cute. My store must have had 500, when the clerk came out she had a shopping cart overflowing with them!
mcwalker Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I got one at around 100+ in line at Westbury, Long Island. Other people were taking them from the shopping cart that staff person was distributing from, though, so some people from back of line got them, but they ran out soon after passing my point in line.
