  1. I would suggest a 1tb size at the minimum. Currently the best price point for an external is the 2tb drives. Last years BF deals on externals were WAY better than what I am seeing thus far. I thought for sure there would be more deals out there this year.
  2. HERE is the Target Price Adjustment Policy. No mention of timed events, doorbusters or BF sale prices. Call Target's 1-800 customer service line and they will tell you the same thing. Not that it matters but the 40" Westy LCD isn't a doorbuster item. Look at the ad scan again. It's part of the 2-day sale. Price adjustments can be made on Fri or Sat. For those of you going for the adjustment be sure to have the Target Adjustment policy on-hand just in case managers start making their own rules.
  3. Yes, you can buy this TV today and get it Price Adjusted on Fri Nov 26th or Sat Nov 27th to get it at the Black Friday Sale Price of 298$. Go to the customer service desk and ask them to see if they have the following item in stock. Hand them a piece of paper with the following numbers on it. DPCI: 008-09-0740 If they have it in stock tell them you would like to buy one and to have one brought out to you. Then, just bring your receipt into ANY Target during the sale dates to get your adjustment. I have been doing this for two years running and it works great. Some Target's may not sell you the TV because of how close it is to BF.
  4. Well you have a "price adjustment" and you have "price matching". Two totally different things. When price adjusting - you can buy the item and price match up to 14 days from the date of purchase. The price adjustment must occur the same week or the week following your purchase. Just bring in your receipt and Target "should" do it. When price matching a competitor - Target's guidelines say that they will not pricematch a "timed event" which is what most BF sales are. In this case, you bring in the ad of the competitor when you buy the item or if you already bought the item just bring in the ad up to 7 days after purchase to get the match. Hope this helps.
  5. Got in line at Target at about 4:30 - opened at 5:00 and I was about the 200th person in line. I managed to snag the last 32" Westy LCD! That's all I wanted so I am a happy camper. Our Target did BF the right way. They opened only one door and let about 15 people at a time and gave them enough time to get their cart and move on before letting the next 15 people in. Everything was very orderly and the map handout showed me exactly where all of the doorbuster items were. Oh and the bag was a nice giveaway.
  6. Geeze I wish I would have known about that Blu-ray price difference.
  7. As long as it is in stock then the price will be the same. The ad prices are good for Fri. 27 and Sat 28th. Best of luck!
  8. Congrats Jen! That's the way it should be. Kind of makes you wonder why some Target stores are so dead set against giving a PA while other Target's slide it right through like its' no big deal. Could it be due to overzealous management? A misinformed staff? All the above?
  9. This makes the 2nd year in a row that I was able to get a PA. Granted, Target stores in my area are a dime a dozen so getting a PA isn't impossible but it sure can be a hassle driving all over to pull it off. Glad to hear some peeps on the forum were able to use the corporate number and policy to get their Target's to shape up.
  10. I bought the LCD about 12 days ago. I was told that they would indeed price adjust on BF. Fast forward to 2 days ago. I figured I would pick up one more LCD and I asked the service desk (same Target as before) if they would price adjust and they flat out told me no. I said I was told differently about a week ago but they wouldn't budge. I didn't fight it and I decided that I didn't want that 2nd LCD after all the flip flopping going on and I left for the day. Me and my wife lined up at about 4:30 and were about the 200th in line. I saw on the map where I needed to go to possibly get that 2nd LCD. The doors open and I haul ass to the maternity section and I swear I put my hands on the very last Westy LCD they had! Score! And I didn't have to price adjust. I still had one price adjustment to do from my previous LCD purchase. The line was atrocious at the service desk so I figured I would wait till tomorrow when it wasn't so busy. Me and my wife left and continued the rest of our BF shopping on the other side on town. We wound up right next to a different Target. I strolled into the Target with my receipt in hand and was ready to do battle just in case they weren't going to honor their own price adjustment policy. It took me about 10 minutes to get through the line. I handed the receipt to her and simply said that I would like a price adjustment. She said "No problem" and that was that. $199 back into my pocket. She even apologized because I had to wait so long in line! I told her she was doing a great job and wished her a nice day. Now I have to figure out what I am going to do with the 2nd LCD!
  11. Yes! But you need to do the price adjustment today or tomorrow at the latest. If they give you any static - just point to their "price adjustment" policy they have posted at the guest service desk. Look around and you will see it!
  12. Fold the two long sides inward. Then fold the bottom and the top towards each other. You should be able to look at where both velcro pieces are and figure out how to attach them from there. The shape you will end up with is a very small rectangle.
  13. Thank God they didn't do that to us or it would have been a nightmare. My Target had spread out the doorbuster items and spread them out throughout the store (like WalMart). I was handed a map so I knew exactly where the high dollar items were.
  14. Target's current ad prices are good till the close of business tomorrow.
