Got all three of the things I wanted and checked out by 11:02 last night. As someone who lives in the arctic (Minnesota) and remembers standing out in the bitter cold for many years on black friday morning, BLACK FRIDAY ONLINE ROCKS!!! So much easier, and thanks to GD for all the helpful info!

I believe it's just fleece jackets for women. Store hours vary, mine opens at 9:00, store locator has phone # so call your store. Also, if you go to Oldnavy.com and click on events, then the current sale flyer, there's a 25% off one item coupon on page 3, that will make one jacket $3.75!

Did anyone on here get the free tote this morning? I can't figure out how the velcro flap thing on front works? Weird!!!

I thought that everything was put out at one time too but who knows. At a local WM where I sometimes work, they had just received the BF stuff today and there were at least 4 pallets of the 32" TV, that's going to take up a lot of space if they put them all out together!

TRU is going to have the plush animals for $2.98, I "think" another big retailer will have one of the playsets for $9, Walmart has some of the sets on rollback for $10 right now. I've been looking for these too because my 3 year old niece just got into them. When I'm babysitting, it's "do you want to play petshop with me?" every 10 seconds, Literally! P.S. - Kmart has a big set of animals for $19 on BF and Target has a set of 15 for $29.

I have read the TRU ad about 5 times planning what I'm going to get and I just now realized that some of their specials say 12midnight - 1pm, while others say 5AM, while the fine print at bottom of 1st page say doorbuster start 7AM - what's up? I sure hope they honor all prices at midnight because I'm only going there once.

2 years ago I went to my usual first stop: Wal Mart. I went for a few DVD's and an MP3 player but on my way I saw a great TV that no-one had grabbed so I nabbed that. I brought everything to my car and loaded it up, locked the car, put my cart back and went back to the car to realize that I had locked the keys inside! I had to call a locksmith and pay $100 to get into my car. A few days later I realized that I had made a mistake in my checking account and the Wal Mart check and the $100 locksmith check both bounced!!! WORST BLACK FRIDAY EVER.

I bring my "I'm not taking any s*it from anybody" attitude. Oh, and my elbows also come in handy.

I'm pretty sure it's restarting tomorrow because I drove by my local store tonight (after closing) and the signs were back up.

Just got a tweet from Old Navy that the extra 50% off clearance sale (in stores) has been extended but for how long remains to be seen! Great deals to be had if you haven't used your ONW coupon yet this week!!!

From my experience working as a vendor in Wal Mart recently, I would suggest price checking everything you are interested in purchasing. I have found numerous items that are cheaper than the tag says.

Their stuff is geared toward 35 + women, so some things are "frumpy" if that's what you mean. They do use many synthetic blends so look carefully at the fabric content before you buy. Items with cotton WILL SHRINK - I worked for the company for 4 years and countless returned items for shrinkage. If you call customer service you can get many more measurements for items.

In the April issue there was a coupon for a free mascara worth around $4. If you aren't ready to commit to a subscription you can always go to the magazines website to see a list of coupons available in the current issue. I usually clip about 15-20 out of each issue - and most are at least $1 off - so I save AT LEAST $15 each month using these coupons (sometimes more if I take them to Kmart for doubles!!!)

The Good Deal Gal has an offer for 2 years for $17.95.

They seem to be coming out about every 3 months or so. Go to their website and sign up for the Buzz club and they will send you the email coupons. They also had an entire week of 20% off about a month ago so they may do this more often if business is slow.
