Actually the local stores are owned by some Mom & Pop operations that have been in business for a long time. The local stores here offered some of the same deals all the way until Christmas. Easy to get in and out while everyone else is in line at the mall and the items are great stocking stuffers.

Seeing a $139 and $149 surfacing on sites with daily specials (can I say woot here?) I would expect $139 or $149 and 8.9 screens...

kMart is 36 miles away. Ace Hardware is 1 mile up the street. No Home Depot aka Men's Mall here..... I drop the CinC at Kmart and go do my milling at Ace with a stop at Starbucks on the way back.

Last year I did Staples.com at 6AM Pacific and they shipped for free. There was a problem getting one rebate until JUNE (4 GB flash drive) but I hear from my soninlaw in line it was mobbed and so did the online deal.

Walgreen's has a Poloroid i733 7.0 MP camera for $109 after $20 Easy Rebate. I believe if you take the Gift Card route, you get $22 back. Takes SD cards and those are very affordable now. Link to Camera Link to Memory Cards

Dollar.com has local specials as some of their operations are franchises. I am going to Richmond and the car is $140. In Norfolk 85 miles away it is $92.

I called about the 4 GB Drive from BF and was told they would not even start processing until 03/01/07. Now a month later- nada. The person would not even discuss helping me, and Staples said it was not their rebate either. Last BF MANUFACTURER rebate and last I/O Magic rebate I participate in.

I used a $25 off $100 coupon online and bought the last $19 speaker set in the local store at 3 PM.

It did not work in my area, and I asked at KMart yesterday and none of the associates had a clue. They did not hear anything about a sale either!
