  1. not sure if anyone's seen/used this site before, but if you have the ASIN number (DPCI doesn't seem to work) you can check the availability of an item at a target near you. It also does not give you a price, nor a quantity.. http://services.rivernorthdesign.com/target/
  2. Thanks for the heads up! I went this morning and did all of my son's school shopping done for next year. Our store had a ton still left, and I may even head to the other one tonight to see what they have left!
  3. ###207220166 Rockband Special Edition - 69.98, was 139.99 ###207220247 Guitar Hero Aerosmith - 19.98, was 49.99 ###065060073 Removable Wall Decals - 4.48, was 17.99 Alaska is usually a bit higher in prices, so it'll probably be even cheaper in the lower 48.
  4. Our clearance roombas were mixed in with the regular priced ones. We picked one up 50% for $70ish, but everything is higher in Alaska lol
  5. we were going to do hawaii for Dec '09 but decided to take advantage of this instead! If you combine the awesome price on tickets with a condo from the Armed Services Vacation Club for $329 (for a week), it makes for a very affordable vacation!
  6. the store in Anchorage AK was 90% off today! They had more items out than they did the other day, I was very happy. Tons of lights, candy, and stocking stuffers left. I grabbed all of the command hooks they had left! Spent 35, saved 280.
  7. It's cold (in the upper teens/low 20s) and foggy in Anchorage AK. Doesn't look like we're getting much snow except for an inch or so tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be enough to keep us from flying out!!
  8. We're flying home to NY for Christmas for 10 days. Glad we booked early (Aug) because there aren't any flights out of Alaska until Christmas eve! Everything is booked up.
  9. two years ago, DS asked for (and got) a rubber band ball. He swore it was the best present he's ever gotten.
  10. I made DH go scan a bunch (he just kept giving me "the look" lol), but they were only 30%. We still had a ton of decorations left, along with a lot of the toys.
  11. we went to our new target this morning, and it was somewhat empty. What surprised me though, was all of the candy was only 30% off (and they had a TON left). We didn't get any candy, but got mini-oreos, teddy grahams, animal crackers, some picture frames and paper towels for 50%. I think I'll go back tomorrow to see if they've marked the candy down.

I'm looking foward to it, but not sure if we'll end up shopping there or not. We just had a target open up right outside one of our gates, so I'll probably end up there!
  13. DS found out about Santa this year... so to keep the magic alive, we are going to do the angel tree. Normally we just donate to toys for tots, but this year DS wants to help out!

  15. I was singing "it's beginning to look a lot like christmas" the other day, but only because it was snowing LOL There's a gadget you can install on Windows Vista desktops that plays christmas music. I installed it today, but prolly won't play it for a while.
  16. I'm just about done, but put myself down as being half done, because I always end up going overboard! I have one major thing to buy for DS (only thing he's asked for this year was a Lego Mindstorm NXT) and a few smaller things. My family is done for the most part. Since we're going home for christmas this year, we're trying to do smaller gifts.
  17. Our Target (which "officially" opens on sunday) was open for business today! HOLY CRAP it was packed! Worse than Black Friday! Of course, this IS the first one in AK... Hopefully the crowds will die down soon so I can do some perimeter shopping in peace DH thought I was crazy for buying anything, but I can't get the Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses anywhere else!
  18. We have the first Targets in Alaska opening up on the 12th (YAY!!!) and just got coupons in the mail today.
  19. nope, I'm concentrating on finishing my degree. Hopefully I'll be done in December and will be able to get a 1st job in January!
  20. ACE was the only place we managed to get everything on our list! There was no line, no wait, and they were stocked really good! Wonder how our Ace will be this year since the Radio Shack (nightmare last year) moved into Ace's building.
  21. I just bought one for DS, but had to ship it to my MIL's because shipping to AK was over $60! Was free to send to her.
  22. went to bed at 1am, DS got up at 430 and stayed in his room until 530ish. After opening presents, I took a nap until 930am when DH woke me up with breakfast!
  23. they're usually wrapped (even in the stocking), but we got DS the lego toybox and one of the storage boxes, so we'll leave them unwrapped with a bow on it. Everything else is wrapped in a paper he hasn't seen yet :)
  24. we have some snow on the ground now (about 2 inches or so), but we're suppose to get more tomorrow night!!! So we should have some fresh stuff on the ground when we wake up tuesday morning :) This will be our first white christmas in.. well... a very long time! DH will be so happy
