DH and I, same as always! New city this year, so not sure how that's going to be. We never have anything we "must have", so we just do it for fun!

I, too bought the Battlefield 3 game for my kiddo, also pre-ordered Halo Combat evolved anniversary. Between the two preorders, I got $30 credit towards just about everything amazon.com sells. Apparently, I had a $20 credit from LAST christmas, and was able to apply that to these two LOL. They also come with "bonus" content, avatars, armor and stuff like that. The kid will be happy. He's been bugging me almost daily about the games.

for those that use an app to keep your codes on your phone, do you have any issues with stores being able to scan them? I have the Bed Bath and Beyond mobile coupon, and it's usually hit or miss if they can scan it or not.

The past 4 years we lived over 4,000 miles away from family so we rarely spent Christmas with them. This year, we're about 1,800 miles, so it looks like it'll just be me, DH and DS! Which is more than ok with us. However, if we were home, Christmas eve is at my sister's house, then we'd visit DH's extended family the week after (there's like 9 brothers and sisters, so every day the week after is usually spent visiting their houses). Then the sunday after New Years's day is DH's Family Party. Have I mentioned I'm glad we're in Colorado??

I usually get my village out for my birthday (nov 21st), and the rest of the decorations somewhere between the day after Thanksgiving and Dec 1st (DS' Birthday). We can't decorate outside until 2 weeks before Christmas, so this year will have to wait until mid-Dec for outside stuff!

Just found out that the outlets near me (Castle Rock, CO) will be opening up at 9pm on thanksgiving! This will be the first time we've lived near outlets, so we're not sure what to expect, other than a madhouse! I'm mainly going for the Under Armour store, since that's all DS will wear these days.

The cashier said the Christmas stuff has been out for a week already! I was surprised, but very happy!

I was humming "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" while walking around Kohls today, looking at the Christmas Trees and decorations!

I love browsing the catalog, but cannot order because they don't ship to Alaska, and I won't put the extra hassle on friends/family to have stuff sent to them, and have them send to me.

Our ACE Hardware has the best kept secret here in Anchorage: there's a post office inside, with NO LINES, even during the holiday season! Because of this, I always end up buying stuff from there after I've dropped off packages. I can't wait to see their ad for this year!

I think we'll do ours thanksgiving weekend, but my Village will go up sooner than that, probably the first weekend in November. I've been trying to put it up earlier, but DH won't let me until after Halloween!

Ohhh I'd love the Nook! But DH just bought me a Sony E-reader for my birthday. He says he'd buy me the nook as well, but I can't justify spending that much while having a perfectly good one.

I have a sony e-reader, bought for 229 (with the cover) about a week ago @ best buy and got a $25 gift card for free. I absolutely LOVE it! I downloaded the free books offered by Sony at their store, and found some new authors that way. Also, don't forget one source of ebooks many overlook.... your local library! Many libraries have a subscription to overdrive, and you can download books for a normal lending time (anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks).

*sighs* it's a sad day when my hometown gets flurries before my current home in Alaska does...
