  1. Huffy 2 wheel Spiderman scooter was 17.49 (50%). I tried looking it up when I got home - the few reviews I found were mixed. Does anyone know if this scooter is worth having? My other 2 kids will be getting Razor scooters. I thought the Spiderman one would be good for DS, if the quality is similar.
  2. Loads of kids clothes and shoes were marked down today. I picked up boys shoes for 4.48-7ish and boys T-shirts for $2.10.
  3. Thanks! I ordered the ones from Kohl's. Hopefully they come - they said oos on Sunday, but my order went through today.
  4. I'm not sure if the kids care about brand - the oldest might notice, but I don't know if it matters to her. The kids haven't asked for scooters, but I'm sure they will be thrilled to get them. We had one hand-me-down Razor that the kids fought over until it wore out this summer. I like that Razors come in different colors for different kids.
  5. I need 3 scooters for Christmas this year. TRU has Razor A2 scooters for 29.99 this week (save $20). Is this a good time to buy, or can I expect better deals to come? What is TRU's return policy? There are a lot of versions of Razor scooters (and several other brands). I'm not loyal to the Razor A2, I just looking for one that will last my kiddos a good, long time. They are 40-75 pounds. Advise on other brands/models is appreciated.
  6. Did girls socks get marked down? There have been lots on clearance at my store for a few weeks (30-50%). I went to check on them yesterday and they had pulled clearance socks from the regular racks and they were in a couple carts, but not marked down yet. I'm hoping they were just moving them and they'll put them back out at 70%. My girls go through socks fast so I'm hoping to stock up.
  7. The fan I got is a 16-inch "stand fan" in a blue box. It looks like it should occillate, but I didn't check. Was 29.99, now 8.98. #085010066 The lava lamp is 6.58 (70%), #074140124. All three stores I've been at this week have lots of them.
  8. Jackpot! School supplies, fans, water guns, and lava lamps are 70% off today!
  9. I don't plan on doing the "want, need, wear, read". I think it is a great idea, but my kids are too young to get excited about the "wear" or "read" and they have everything they need for now. I might do this when they get older, but for now their wish lists are all toy "wants". I have done a pretty good job limiting the number of gifts the kids get. I used to get my kids more, thinking that it was a lot but Christmas should be fun. Then they got even more from relatives and friends. They loved the stuff, but were overwhelmed when they had to clean it all up. Whenever I am tempted to get "just one more thing" I think of all the unused toys taking up space in my attic and decide against it. I have 3 kiddos. They each get a gift for the other 2, everyone gets a gift from Mom & Dad (this often comes with accessories), a pair of PJs on x- Mas eve, a gift from Santa, and a stocking full of stuff. Sometimes coats, boots, socks, slippers, art supplies, and other needed things make it under the tree to even out the count and keep them guessing.
  10. Target has a couple styles on clearance right now. The ones I saw were for girls and (I think) 50% off.
  11. When I did my USPS change of address online I was able to print a Lowe's 15% off purchase coupon. I also got some Lowes coupons in the mail, which Home Depot accepts. Both stores sell curtains, but they add up quick when you're doing several rooms. Someone posted that their Target had almost the whole curtain aisle on clearance. I checked my store today but they didn't have much. Maybe you'll be luckier - it might be worth a look. If you do find a better deal please share it. We just moved and I still need to find curtains for the kitchen, dining room, and kids rooms.
  12. Kreo Transformers "Bumblebee" was 70% off today- 8.98, was 29.99 Does anyone know when water guns were marked down to 50%? How about lava lamps? I would like to catch both at 70%.
  13. Pink dots and orange triangles are 70% off. Careful, though, because there are "old" orange triangles marked down and "new" orange triangles still at full price. At least that is what the stocker told me when I showed him water balloons that were marked down and Chinese yo-yos that were not discounted. When in doubt, scan. I got some great stuff for DDs birthday: light up bouncy balls, friendship bracelet kits, bubbles shaped like microphones, 2-packs of cherry lip balm (gloss?), bracelets, rings. I also picked up Dr. Suess invites for DS, Lorax pencils, notepads, and notebooks for teacher gifts, and Avenger & Batman stuff for the family Christmas game.
  14. Booooo! I'm not surprised Sears would open on Thanksgiving, Kmart already does. I wish they (and other stores) would wait until at least midnight to start the big sales, 6am would be even better. The staggared start times at the various stores have become too hard to keep up with, especially when some stores choose multiple sale start times (Walmart). Maybe I'm just getting too old, but last year wasn't much fun for me because I was so tired, even after I skipped a few of the eariler sales to get some ZZZZs. Maybe Sears will have a different sale from 8-midnight, then offer the BF stuff and the stoke of 12. Haven't they offerd 15-20% off coupons to use later in the day on Friday or Saturday before?
  15. I went back to the Parma store today and there were was another section of clearance that wasn't out yesterday (or maybe I just missed it?). I found the Bizu sets I couldn't find yesterday, several Trio sets (picked up the Hot Wheels one), and a hexbug set. There were quite a few other goodies I left behind: Thomas, Cars, MLP dress -up, Trio, and Bakugan to name a few. I had the kids with me today. DS was busy looking at stuff, DD kept checking what I was putting in the cart. When DD saw the hexbugs she got excited. I explained they are for her brother's birthday and asked her to keep him busy so he wouldn't see them. I think she'll be surprised when she gets them for her birthday instead, but I doubt I'll be able use that trick again.
  16. I made it to 2 stores today, but I didn't go until about 11:00. Parma - There were bunches of Bizu sets in the regular aisle yesterday, today they were MIA. I asked someone who was resetting toys and she said they had put them in a cart to put in the aisle where they were collecting clearance toys. I checked again but couldn't find them there and threre weren't any carts of clearance sitting around. It makes me think there may be some carts full of clearance toys in back that they'll pull out as they make more room/finish the reset. I got: Kreo Transformers, Megatron and Sideswipe 8.98 and 7.31 LPS remote control car $6 ish Zooble with mini play house 4.98 Lalaloopsy dress up set (socks and purse) 3.17 Nerf dart tag guns 4.98 (only 50%) Nerf whistler darts, 100ct., 9.98 (only 50%) Strongsville - There were still clearance toys in some of the boys aisles but the girl aisles had been cleaned up and moved back to where they are consolidating to. I was hoping to find some more Kreo sets but I couldn't find a single one anywhere. I got a few Bizu sets (1.48 - 2.68), some punch balloons and balloon powered race cars (.83 - .88), and a "In a Pickle" game (3.20). There were still a lot of toys left, we just don't need much.
  17. When you're done hunting through toys tomorrow, check out kids clearance. This may be old news for some of you, but I found boy's jeans 70% off today ($3.88-$5ish). Was anyone else having trouble with scanners today? They weren't working at the store I went to (apparently nothing was in the system, even everyday non-clearance stuff). Hopefully they will be fixed tomorrow...
  18. I got ours at Target's July clearance for 75% off (3? years ago). I'm not sure if they were changing designs right then or not. They are a bit of a pain to put together and I see them pretty often at rummage sales. If you can't find one clearanced you might be be able to find a used one, and save the hassle of trying to put it together.
  19. Fresh markdowns in shoes today. Lots going from 30-50% to 70% off. Lots to be had.
  20. It's a shoeapalooza! Tons of shoes are marked down. Most are women's and toddler sizes, some boy's. I found gym shoes for kids 50-70% off. Not much in toys, not consolidating yet. I did pick up a couple Bizu sets for 5.98 each.
  21. The colored paper is $3 off regular price making it $7.Xx. I thought if was $3 too, until I got to the register and total was too high. Different types of coupons on the same page = confusing.
  22. Dollar Spot (red dots) 70% off today. Still had 50% signs up.
  23. Found rice krispie treats, granola bars, gold fish crackers ringing 50% off How where they packaged?
  24. Shoe day is even more exciting than toy day for me! Lots of shoes marked 70% yesterday- tons of boots, lots of slippers, and some regular shoes. I picked up 10 pairs for $4.50-$10 each in next year's sizes. Last week in toys I picked up a Blue Digital E-Go flip video camera for $11.xx ($12ish). Yesterday I found 2 more (at different stores) hiding on the electronics clearance endcap. Both were marked 50%, but scanned 70% ($12). Sports wear (NFL, MLB, college teams) is 50-70% off. There were also team logo things like hats, slippers, gym towels, and pillow pets. Look in the sporting goods department.
