The one in the paper has coupons. I always get mines out my sunday paper & it has the coupons also. All the books are the same whether mailed or out of the paper.

I think its sometime during October it comes out. Once I remember signing up for it early and it said it would ship once they put it out, but I never got it. IDK

Im not surprised either! The Monday of BF is still enough time to decide whether I'll go there or not. They better be lucky they PM bcuz I wouldnt be there at all!

Thnx so much for the info. I have the KidiZoom camera and KidiLook photo frame on dd7's list. I was looking at the FP camera and its so bignand bulky looking. And I like that VTech has the photo frame to go with it, so she can carry her pics around.

Last year at (my) Target they did not allow price adjustment on their 2-Day sale items. Needless to say, I didnt shop there. I PM'd at walmart ; they didnt give me any problems as long as I had my sale circulars, which I did. They kept them, I guess to see what competitors were offering and see how to price things this year....idk

I read in this "predictions" article (where the guy had 82% accuracy on BF 2008 predictions) that the WII will be $199 ; boy, I hope he's right on that. And if he is, I hope I can get one :-)

Whatever happened with the "12 Days of Christmas" specials? I asked about them last year in this site, but I dont think they did it. Im on the mailing/email list, too. I even sign up again around October/November to make sure I dont miss anything. I did receive an email that they were hiring and for me to fill out an app. I would work there, but I know BF is a must for them, so.... I'll pass on that job. Does anyone know what their employee discount is?

Ive checked it out on walmart.com & amazon.com ; and I think Im gonna pass on this for dd7. But if someone's dd happens to play with it before Christmas, I would live to hear about it.

I havent heard about or seen these either. I have a dd that is 7 & she likes Dora. Where did you find them ; I wanna check it out.

Im with you. I know retailers know that BF is like their absolute last chance for them to rake in any kind of $$. So Im thinking they will do their best with sales to get us to spend with them. I really feel like this BF will be a good one (hopefully, anyway)! I think a few more stores will PM too.

Thanks. So am I still able to have access to microsoft word if I wanted to? Im looking to replace my desktop and I want a mini something. Whatever I get will be used for shopping sites, and games on yahoo and things like that. I mean, Im in no way a big gamer or anything. Every now and then I might want to use microsoft word. So, does it sound like a netbook is what Im looking for? $99 - $149 is not a bad price range either ; well within my budget. Thanks in advance for your help and info.

The first day of the sale is on a Sunday, so thats when the book comes out in the local (Sunday) newspapers, which is always around Halloween ; well thats how its been where I live for I dont know how long.

ok, forgive me in advance for asking a stupid question, but .....is the netbook different from say, a mini laptop (or any laptop for that matter) ; is it strictly used for the web and nothing else?

hi scott! the big toy book is usually in the local sunday papers around halloween ; sometimes its in stores a couple of days sooner. The sales usually last right up until the wednesday before thanksgiving. I dont really know toi much about the dsi ; my daughter has the ds. I think the major difference is the camera, Im sure it has other perks too.

In no particular order ; Im gonna need: 1) WII games 2) DS games 3) Toys 4) Mini Dell laptop 5) Clothes I guess my biggest thing is the laptop, as BF is mainly my girls' shopping day and so Im always buying games, clothes and toys on that day.

Ace Hardware Sept. 14

OMG! Time is flying (well, not fast enough...lol)! But, it was just 20 weeks until BF, now on Friday, we're coming up 13 weeks! WOOHOO!

I live in Wilmington, DE and I would never step foot in our TRU on BF. Dont get me wrong, the store is great and all, but the wait in line is too long. I spent less time in Walmart's line and we all know how Walmart is on BF. I wonder how Christiana Mall will be this year with all the renvations and things almost done. There's a grand re-opening tentatively scheduled for November.
