when does amazon.com start having those killer sales? me & another GD'er were talking about how we found the Hannah Montana guitar last year for $11.98, original price $49.99.

Yup. I just read the article by the manager too...lol This is great for me, if they have something I want, I can get it on Thanksgiving ; my TRU is a mad house on BF & I can just imagine how crazy its gonna be with a midnight opening.

Well, some ppl get it mailed to them early if they're on the mailing list & I think (not really sure) thats around the time when Brad posts it. Im not on the mailing list, so I would have to wait to get mine in the Sunday paper, but I remember getting to see it early because of GD. It was posted here last year a week before it came out in the papers, so MAYBE (fingers crossed) we can see it this coming Sunday! That would be awesome!

Lol. Thats ok ; my candy canes are solely for decoration, they almost never get eaten.

Me too! I refuse to do that this year. I will start the weekend of BF. If something happens to go on sale, then I will just have to unwrap it & wrap it again! lol I dont put my gifts under the tree until Christmas Eve (makes it look like Santa really came).

Walmart, Target (may go Saturday, not BF), Old Navy, KMart, TRU (will NOT go to the store, might shop online). I also like Childrens Place, but their sale is the same every year, so I knkw what to expect.

Im gonna go back online today & see if anything has changed. I really hope so, it would be great to do it online & just go to the store for pickup cuz my KMart iw not organized at all when it comes to picking up in-store layaways.

It seems like a good idea, but if there's nothing to pick from, then whats the use? I guess I will go to the store & do it next weekend. I wonder if anyone will have success with this? I was also wandering if this is what Walmart will do. I seen in the Walmart thread that there was a mention of online layaway.

I went on kmart.com & on the homepage, theres an advertisement for online layaway. Layaway is still 8 weeks & you have to make a payment every 2 weeks, but you can do it online with items that have a layaway icon on them & schedule the pick up. When "checking" out, you have to choose layaway as payment. I was gonna try this as it sounds very convienent, but I could hardly find things with the layaway icon. What does everyone else think?

My first BF experience was in 2003 ; I went to Christiana Mall in DE & it almost made me never go BF shopping again! I didnt do any planning bcuz this was like my first time hearing about it, I was 18, shopping alone for my 15 m.o. daughter & had just planned to get her a few things for Christmas. It was the craziest thing I ever saw, I was in total shock. I couldnt believe there were so many ppl. I told myself, I will NOT return to that mall, but I would give it another try. I had a plan (& a friend) from then on! I <3 BF & cant imagine ever missing it.

I remember that! My daughter "had" to have that, too. I kept looking at the price & the item description to see if it was right. I told myself, I would be back this year, as last year was my first time really giving amazon.com any attention.

I do the same ; keep all my holiday shopping receipts all in one place (my little clear Sears bag from when I used to work there) so that I have easy to them in case I see a better deal. Hopefully, the item isnt already wrapped...lol

oh, well that sucks! lol thnx, tho. guess I will ask my aunt to go for me again.

TRU & BRU have free shipping on BF, right? What is the minimum purchase amount? I dont think I'll have time to stop @ BRU for the $10 diapers, so I was thinking of ordering online. I know in-store, there's a 3 box maximum, which would be $30....is it the same online? & if shipping is not free, would it even be worth ordering online. Last year, my aunt went there for me around 10ish & was able to get me some. If the shipoing is too high, I may ask her again. Thnx in advance!
