I totally agree. My DD8 doesn't know what these are either & I'm not gonna bring them to her attention lol ...I attempted to get her the Zhu Zhus last year, but I stopped after I seen how popular they were.

What are you hoping to see on sale this Black Friday?
angelbabymommy replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2010
If I'm not mistaken, under Deals Discussion, there's a "Hot Toys" thread & in one of the posts, there's a link to an article about the 3DS; I think Nintendo is supposed to be announcing the release date on September 29. Im sure it'll most def be out by BF. -

By the time BF comes, I only have my girls to shop for. The other family members are done by that time being as tho I only have my mom, brother and dad & stepmom to shop for. So, I'm just hoping to find great deals on toys & clothes. -
What have you done to prepare for Black Friday?
angelbabymommy replied to brinak2005's topic in 2010
I won't start my shopping until next month. I've started my girls' lists and wrote down what I'll be getting my mom, dad & stepmom and brother. I'll have their gifts before BF, so I can just have the girls to shop for. The kids in our family do a secret santa & exchange gifts at the annual kids christmas party, which I'm thankful for because there's a lot of kids. I have $200 saved so far lol ....I better start putting away more (& fast!) Being as tho I plan to take $900! -
Countdown: 100 Days Until Black Friday 2010 - Update: A week left!

YAAAY!!!!! I thought we were gonna have to wait until September for sure; glad to know we're loved! lol ....now I'm anxious for ads :) -
I agree that the 3DS will be a HUGE hit for the holidays. I think we touched on it in a couple of the previous posts. If it does come out in time for Christmas, I hope they lower the price of the dsi xl, that's what my dd8 wants. But, if the price happens to be ~$200, then I just may get it being as tho the dis xl is $190. ......I'm wondering if the screen on the 3DS will be big like the xl???

Who's thinking about Black Friday 2010 already?
angelbabymommy replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2010
I am! I am! Can't wait -
Hey, does anyone know the exact name of the $70 dancing Mickey Mouse? My dd2 loves Mickey & I wanted to check it out.
-
Yes, she has a DS. She has asked for a DSi, so that will be for Christmas. ....thanks for the info. I'll have to look into the educational games. For some reason, wheb I think DS, I just think entetainment, but when I think Leapster, education always somes to mind. But, I guess, I can make her DS educational & entertaining. Thanks again :)

My DD8 wants a Pillow Pet, too, so I added that to her list as well as DD2.

I think its usually something like mid/end of September. Last year, Ace Hardware's ad came out in July or August, that's why Brad got started early. I still think he waited to open the holiday discussion boards until later on.
-
Ok, that sounds awesome! ....but, I'm wondering what the price will be? If you will have to buy 3d games? If the old games will still play on it? Maybe the DSi XL (which, my DD8 wants) will go on sale if the 3d version does comes out.

that's a good idea. I think TS3, in general, will be popular this holiday season. The Buzz you're referring to has good reviews, too.

thank you. I've decided against it. I know she would've loved it because its a touch screen, but I'm not gonna waste my $$$.

I received an email from vTech about their new handheld system, Mobigo, its a touchscreen. I was looking to put this on my dd8's list, but I have one problem: I looked it up on walmart.com & it said age range is 3-8, but the highest age range for the games I saw was 5-7, I believe. I would like to get the system, but don't know if the games will be challenging enough for her. Anyone seen this or already purchased this? Thoughts/ideas? Thanks in advance.

I'm glad to see some of us are in the Christmas spirit! I have been thinking about what will be new & hot this year also. Both my girls (2 & 8 this year) birthdays are in July, so I usually start looking & planning end of July/beginning of August. I look to QVC for some ideas too, esp with their Christmas in July celebration. I will be tuning in on the 24th & 25th to see what they are offering. They usually have fun, unique toys & gifts (with Easy Pay, too!!)

Thanks a lot for that bit of info. I guess I'll be at KMart on Thanksgiving getting my dd7's nightclothes (JoeBoxer 4-piece set for $7) & then on I;ll go to KMart again on BF for my dd1's nightclothes (footie pjs for $3.99). Thanks again! I guess I wont be at WalMart, no big tickets items Im looking for.

I am wanting to buy doorbusters like the $3 (kids) & $7 (adults) nightclothes, but I wanna skip Walmart, if possible. So, whats the trick? Do I put the items in my cart & just keep refreshing my browser? Thanks in advance :)

Same here ....

Cash, Credit, Debit, Check, Giftcard... How will you be paying on BF?
angelbabymommy replied to AudreyNicole's topic in 2009
I take $50 cash for food & other petty stuff ; then the rest is on my debit card, which I use as credit (for the points mostly, but its also easier). I, too, dont carry a purse. I just carry my cash, debit card & ID in an inside pocket. -
I TOTALLY AGREE! I was so excited to see the ad, but when I looked through it, I kept getting more depressed by the page Now, my only hope is Walmart for toys ....& where is the Kmart Thanksgiving Day ad

Im starting to get nervous! Where is it?!
