Yes, Just in cases, i entered my granddaughters age. They just ask you if you ahve a child, my mom signed up and just put my name , but with my granddaughters birthdate. They don't check it out, they want the sales in the baby department, a lot of them are everyday stuff like listerine and cameras.

Decent price = plastic crap. I have 4 machines, 2 that embroider. I use nothing but Janome. I paid 1600 for the one I have now and it's cast all the way through. I have the Quilters Companion, I paid 700 for it. I can't help with any of the cheap stuff, it's basically disposable since if it breaks, it's throwaway.

I just can't imagine a father depriving a child of xmas. I don't know the story and can't judge, but I would tell him to buck up and deal with it and then I'd decorate my house and do the whole xmas thing. My husband put a hook in the wall about 4 fee up . We put a neutral colored string around the trunk about 4 feet up . If it's too low it can still fall over. Some places like walmart have a 2 week limit on electronic returns. You may want to consider the new kindle fire instead of ipads. Much more affordable.

I doubt if amazon will offer any thing since they just lowered all their prices drastically. Is best buy selling at the new prices, or the old ones? You can still upload all your own books and music and movies to the amazon cloud. They give you 5gb free. I have all my music on there and am just started putting my books onthere. I've always taken my kids, but it isn't crazy here. There are not many people out when we go at 5am. I get my big ticket items online from amazon, they always beat everyone elses price and I'm not fighting for it and having it in my car. I go just to browse and get smaller stuff. I have no problem with any of my kids in tow.

The regular kindle is now 99.99 if you get the one with special offers. I have a kindle and it is wonderful. I have over 800 books on it and have never had to buy a single one. I recommend the kindle with keyboard to anyone. I have no interest in the kindle touch.

There is a huge discussin thread over on kindle forums on amazon. Looks good, tiny storage , but mostly runs off amazon cloud. No camera, so no skype.

I don't pay attention to the amount, just the total gifts. I list all 3 kids and 3 grandkids in a list, Each of my children gets around 12 gifts and the grandkids 6. I have corresponding rows for the expensive etc, but don't add it all up.I have 1 child still at home, his cost the most. Last year everything he wanted was expensive so I spent around 500 on him alone. My daughter went through a divorce last year and was feeling alone, she asked for several expensive items, normally when they leave home, their number of presents goes down since they aren't there xmas morning. My oldest son will just want a few items, but I will but more.

I have always had cats. I now have 3 inside and 5 dogs. My trees do fine, except the cats like to climb it for the first few days. The dog however, my sons great dane, ate a 5 foot section of garland off the tree last year. Luckily she threw it up the next day. We always tie it to the wall because they like to play under it.
