legos and bike advice, please
peppysfireball replied to kardomr's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
My son who is 26 collected legos. WHen he was done making the huge item, he would take it apart and put it in a tub. When his brother was 5, he gave him the tub. My younger son now collects bionicles. He has bionicles all over his bedroom, I never bought the big tubs, because they liked reading the instructions to make the big item and it was a good learning thing . He is 14 now, and still buys bionicles. I am now buying them for my grandson 9. I buy them on clearance on amazon mostly, because the sets they want are around 90. For a 5 year old, the big tub would be a good start. -

It must still be liquid, but not hot or it will melt the fluffy layer. I usually pour when it's room temp. -

If you are referring to Calibre, It isn't a questionable way to download anything. I am just confused. I read through all the posts and no one has mentioned any way to download books that is questionable. Amazon allows non amazon content to be put in the cloud. THey allow you to put all your itunes in there or any other movies, etc that you have bought from other places. Calibre is a legal, accepted software that stores and converts books. It is not a way to download . It is mentioned on amazon as a good way to manage your kindle library. It does not convert drm books, but there are many places that sell drm free books legally. like smashworkds, baen, etc. It is very legal. -
THe Dsi has gone down in price a lot so I bet they won't be too bad. I just can't bring myself to buy from gamestop because they are used . Unless they are in the box like new , I will not buy used christmas presents. I just don't feel right doing it. I have bought like new games on amazon that were still in the box, but that's the only way I can do it.

The Touch that you are buying will not work free with 3g. It has been the subject of a lot of discussion on kindle forums. Amazon has limited the new kindles 3g coverage to the amazon store and wikipedia only, You will only be able to use the browser with the new kindles on wifi.
-
They all would. There is a recipe thread on kindle forums. You can put photos on teh kindles or send the recipes to the kindle as a document. Not sure about works, I think you would have to convert it. You can look at the Fire page, it has all the accepted formats listed on it.

The one reason is thats amazon gives you 30 days to try it out. If you don't like it you can return it. And mrn8, calibre will only convert books that have no drm, so you can't take your barnes ands noble books or your sony books, etc, and convert them. I didn't think the sd slot was a problem, I can keep a file on my desktop with all my sons psp movies, or upload them to the cloud. I uploaded most of my books an music to the cloud already. Amazon stuff of course is stored in the cloud and doesn't use any of your free 5gb. -
Chicken and noodles? You really don't know what it is? My grandma used to make them. SHe's 94 now and her arthritis stopped her from making them for quite a few years so she showed me her recipe. the noodles you roll out and cut by hand. I use 4 eggs, 4 half shells of water and 4 teaspoons of salt. Add yellow gel food coloring for color. Beat until foamy with fork. Add flour until you can roll it out, about 4 cups. Roll very thin, let dry about 4 hours and cut into thin strips , Dry a few hours or a few days. I make mine in advance and leave them out on a cookie sheet a few days to dry. The more they dry the better. Boil a whole chicken , it' svery important to use the whole chicken, you need the neck and back sections for the broth to have the best flavor. Bone the chicken and save the broth. Put it in a large pan and add enough water to boil the noodles. SImmer the noodles about an hour and add meat. It's just a thick chicken noodle soup, but I thought everyone knew how to make them. My grandma worked in a restaurant her whole life and was an excellent cook. If there aren't as many of us I use 3 eggs, etc, at home I use 2 or 3. Mine taste just like grandmas, when my mom tries, hers weren't as good, she doesn't follow grandmas instructions like I do.

Check with your parks individually. The park we go to most has no restrictions on it, the other one that we stay away from is a state park. It allows no tents, campers must be on a gravel pad and 6 people limit in campers. It is much more restrictive that the other one. It could be because we are in the horse camping area. They have primitive areas that allow tents on the grass. My son is 14 , but he has had his own tent about 4 years. He would die if I made him sleep in the trailer with me. He has a small 3 person tent and puts it up and takes it down himself.

http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?234951-BF-Camping-Coleman-SunDome-3-Person-Tent-48.95-(-73.99)-Amazon This is similar to what my son has. We have always had tons of camping stuff, My boys were both in boy scouts and by oldest is an eagle scout. We go to trail rides and while I sleep in the horsetrailer living quarter, he puts up his tent. We don't use air mattresses, too much work. My son has his own quad camping chair and the coleman tools were also in the deals yesterday, the shovel, etc. we use paper plates for less mess. Make sure you get a good sleeping bag with a low weather rating, it makes a difference. My boys both have mummy bags, a ground cloth is a must or you will get wet at night when the dew comes through the tent. I stick with mostly coleman stuff. I don't know how old they are, but most boys want to by in their own tents without parents. YOu may want your own tent, the big ones are a pain . My son sets his up alone easily. Check the bass pro shops clearance section. Cabelas also, had real good black friday sales last year.

Walmart officially announces "Christmas Price Guarantee"
peppysfireball replied to Brad's topic in 2011
At the bottom of the Christmas match guarantee it states it excludes bf ads. The regular ad match guarantee is something different. It refers to on the spot matching. THe christmas matching means you can buy it November 1 and up till christmas get a gift card for the cheaper price. Totally different scenario. -
Never heard of them. I am in rural Illinois.

Lemon lush is as lemon pudding and cream cheese type layer with whipped cream on top and a cookie type crust. My mom puts pecans in half the crust. I don't like nuts, so it's half and half. We have had it for every holiday for many years. SHe made pistachio a few times and chocolate, but lemon everyone loves. It's a good holiday desert or potluck. The christmas salad I posted the recipe in the holiday recipe contest. It is a bottom layer of lemon jello, real whipped cream, mini marshmallows and crushed pineapple. let it set in a cake pan and pour cherry jello on top. It's festive.

I wish I had a picture, This is a colorful pretty salad. My grandma turned 94 today and she has made this desert every christmas since my mother was a small child. It is very good. CHRISTMAS SALAD Ingredients. 1 box lemon jello 1 box cherry jello 1 8oz package cream cheese 1 large can pineapple crushed 1 bag miniature marshmallow 1/2 pint whipping cream DIRECTIONS Fix lemon jello according to box direction. Add cream cheese while still warm. Let cool then whip until foamy. add crushed pineapple and the whipped cream. ( whip the cream first). I had a not very smart family member misread the directions and just dump the whipping cream in. It looked a mess. Pour in 9 by 13 cake pan and chill. Fix cherry jello and let cool . Pour on top. -

Not true. Unlike the Ipad, Fire does have flash and are talking favorably with Netflix, hulu, and several others. -
I only make one pumpkin at thanksgiving. We aren't a pie loving family. We hve my parents, my family, my sisters family. We have about 12 adults and several kids. My mom makes an angel food cake and lemon lush. We usually have lots of deserts left as the men don't eat much. It's usually just us women and the kids. At xmas, we make xmas salad which my grandma made all her life. She is 94 now, and me and my sister take turns. My mom still makes lemon lush and usually one other desert and we have lots left. The xmas salad is in a cake pan and is a jello, cream cheese salad type dish.
